I was thinking along the lines of actually grabbing them with my hands, then absorbing their ki like the androids did to Piccolo(?).

Ki Absorption can be done through physical contact with a person or a ki-based attack. Just factor in how much juice your character can handle. For example, someone of say, a D rank, could not absorb an attack of an S rank without popping like a party balloon.
