Don't forget the War of 1812. That's where Britain was beginning to rape us. They even burnt down the Presidential House (afterwards, it was rebuilt, and named the White House).

Then they came for Baltimore. The site appealed them because of the bay, which would give them naval dominance, and probably the win.


However, a small place called Fort McHenry stood strong and held off the great British naval fleet. And after that, we pwned.
