Read this. This clearly shows that it's not all just a spoof with actual appearneces of the dbz characters in it and relationships of their characters to dbz's, like Freeza's son. I mean, it's not like we can't mold them into more serious roles.

Edit: And isn't Akane Kimidori from "Dr. Slump" another side manga of Akira's, just like Neko Majin Z
