Would it be possible... (no, not really)
#26
Here's a point no one brought up, and its a valid one.

I sit down and go to Chubbs, open up AIM, and start poking around.

If I don't have 30 PMs about a bunch of bullshit that didn't have to involve me or even be addressed to me an any way shape or form, I'm greeted with a deluge of IMs about someone wanting to switch characters, or about a spar grading being unfair or about the latest join-forum spam.

You know what I do after that?

I sign off of AIM, close Firefox and leave my computer.

I don't want to RP after that nonsense. I don't even want to look at Chubbs.

You members have the luxury of being able to say/do something and then forget about it while us staff members have to deal with all of it. Sure, you're whining about what you don't like about MIA now, and then we'll say "shut up, if we change it you'll know" and that'll be the end of it for you. For us we get to argue over it in the staff forums, have AIM chats about, swap PMs, and then get flooded with "honest opinions" from the various members who didn't actually want to post anything in these forums.

Staff do their work and maintain their character's activity (for the most part). According to the admins, they've earned the incredibly minor amount of leeway they get on the issue of MIA. If you don't like it, or don't think its fair, that's really too bad.

EDIT: Seven (maybe six) of you deserve warnings right now. This very second. I have half a mind to do it.

EDIT2: I'm not MIA anymore. =D
