I prefered the first one because it had the right kind of feel in relation to the stock.
An example of this is Picasso (i dont think I spelled that right). His art word, essentially, conveys emotion through a rational, rather than empircal, sensory perception. Now, IMO the stock image you choose for a sig already has a certain emotion or feeling associated with it. It is the artist's job to enhance that emotion and feeling with his graphic work. This is all just a long way of saying I think his first style matched the image better. I just didn't want to throw up an arbitrary one line response this time. ^_^
