Honestly, yeah. From what I've studied/read/heard, the path of a mass-murderer simply requires one to get over that huge hurdle of a first-murder. For some/most, the conscience obliterates their emotional stability, and they break down. For others, the next murder becomes easier.
They aren't parallel. As far as I know, Hitler didn't actually kill many/any folks personally. They were all just statistics on the reports he got. Benoit killed his wife and child personally. Anyone who can kill their child is a monster, outright.
Regardless, you said "speak ill of the dead". Hitler was the most infamous dead guy I could think of. I was trying to make your stance look absolutely silly, and I'm pretty sure I succeeded.
