Yes and no (mostly yes, tho, tbh). In a vacuum, yeah, I think Taric is a lot better. His kit is just incredibly well-rounded.

Nunu shifts attack speed in-lane by insane amounts. It's like a 40% AS slow and a 30% AS buff or something like that. A shift of 70~80% AS can easily crush a lane. Being able to keep himself topped off on HP is also pretty helpful.

What Nunu doesn't really do, though, is make plays. Taric stun can be so huge in enabling... everything. While he doesn't buff AS, being able to buff damage to the whole team (and minions, which is very relevant) is almost always just better.

Nunu is also a lot easier to punish, as a pick. He brings no sustain to his lane, gets pretty punished by poke, and the adc can run something like Caitlyn or Trist and his buff gives basically no advantage in lane (still pretty terror in the rest of the game, but no more so than stun/AoE dmg buff).

Nunu's ult is kind a trap, too. Good players know to use it as a zoning tool. Support Nunu's ult does pretty mediocre damage and a lot of people will overextend into an enemy team to try and hit as many people as possible instead of using it to zone for the ADC and AP. That's less on the champion and more the player, but still a factor, imo.

There are also just a bunch of lanes that Taric can counter. There are basically no lanes that Nunu counters that Taric doesn't counter better.

That's one of the main problems, when I duo with kaaden I'm last pick most of the time which ends with me being support... and I seriously suck as support. It's not that i don't know what the champs do, or how to play/ward properly, I am just way too aggressive of a player to be support. It's very hard for me to get out of that mindset.

There's a reason I only ever willingly support for Trygelan- I tend to be a very agressive support as well and Tryg's willingness to be an agressive adc meshes well with that.

We're also both super chill when we duo queue Big Grin

Yeah... we probably did better than any of our other lanes, but that's doesn't mean a whole lot.

I love it when I can be aggressive in lane. Really that's why I like playing Cait, Trist and Ez. They have tools to be bullies. Actually just got out of a game with Cait/Nunu against their Ez/Janna. Bullied the shit out of them. I didn't get much out of it because my last hitting is garbage lately, but was still fun.

I've started picking up a lot of the cheaper champs I haven't picked up yet like Singed, Warwick et al, and actually not terribly sucking as support with Soraka. I have Taric now so I'm gonna give him a shot given how much love you guys have for him.
