Friend or Foe 3 C&C
#21
In lieu of C&C you could answer something I asked in the ChatBox and I'd call it good.

EDIT: "to anyone who read my last post, can i get a quick word of feedback? i've done the whole "yeah im a hero" bit before, and i'm trying to keep Kaden grounding while doing "heroic" things. is that working?"

I don't suppose a simple yes would suffice. xD

Kaden is definitely different from Raditzu in the fact that he doesn't completely Rambo everything in sight, or, in other words, come off as completely unafraid or even graceful in the face of danger. If your intent was to have Kaden come off as apprehensive about taking on the giant zombie, like a normal person, it worked. Him forgetting to breath, a burning in his chest; everything you described went a long way into explaining to me that he's not completely invincible, and that perhaps, realistically, it was possible for him to fail in slashing all the down the monster rather than succeeding.

I guess the only thing you could do to make him seem more "grounded" is to portray such feelings on a more regular basis. Like you expressed to me before, our group treated the zombies more like nuisances than actual threats, and even though he was facing a giant zombie overlord thing, having him suddenly feel nervous felt just the tiniest bit awkward. All in all, though, I think what you're going for is working.

EDIT: Hopefully that was along the lines of what you were looking for. If not, I can expand more on AIM or through PM, if you want.

In the meantime:
