To explain for those that have never done level cap raiding or have any idea about the class, if a warlock can successfully kill himself with Hellfire (It does massive damage to the warlock per tick, its the ONLY real use for the spell) then he'll avoid durability loss. This is why locks get pissed when a wipe is called of some moron is still throwing up heals and hots.

The above scenario will happen. The warlocks all seem to immediately run to the corners while spamming life tap to get their health low, (I'll even soulshatter to get lower on the aggro table to give me time) and then spam Hellfire to try to suicide before the boss nukes them.

Only takes one new acc, actually. Like what Erin and I are going to do, we'll buy her a new account for the 30-40 total cost, link it to my current account, and boom, level it. THEN since her account is a new account, it gets a free month of play, and when it pays for its first renewal, my account gets a free month of play. By then we'll easily have a couple of 60s if not higher. And I'll get some random Zebra mount thrown in as well.

Definitely worth it. The biggest problem is money. Since you level so quickly, you don't do a lot of quests, so you miss out on a lot of money. Take your professions ASAP and start selling stuff. When your RAF isn't on, start harvesting stuff to sell. That's the only reason that I had enough money to buy my 30 mount and skills.

I... think you misunderstand.

Here's exactly what happens. (In that situation)

Account A (In this case, we will assume it is your friend) is already well established and doesn't want to start over.

Person B either has no active account that isn't expendable, or plans to transfer the leveled characters to their main account afterwards.

Account A goes to their account info on the main site and goes to "Refer-A-Friend". They create a referred account through this and set up their friend's information for the account to be emailed to.

Person B activates this account that Account A set up, becoming Account B. There is zero monetary exchange at this time. Account B is on trial status and can level up to a maximum of 20 (obtainable in a mere four hours if one is familiar with the low levels).

Account B purchases a copy of the basic game, likely a battlechest that includes Burning Crusade so that they can create a Draenai/Blood Elf or level in the new starting zones. A quick glance on Amazon has a free shipping battlechest for 36.99 or the official Warcraft site allowing a Direct Download sale for 39.99 - the most efficient method if one already owns actual cds from a previous account, as you are basically purchasing your cdkey.

Account B recieves one free month of play for being a brand new account.

At the end of the first "Payed" free month, Account B actually pays their monthly fee, which rewards Account A with one free month as well. At the end of the second month, if Account B is still active, Account A recieves a zebra "Talbuk" mount as a reward for one character on any server of the account.

After an amount of time (90 days, I believe) the accounts will unlink. They will lose the ability to summon characters to their location, and the boosted xp gains are removed. All is returned to normal, with both accounts likely having multiple level 60 characters (and Account A likely having an extra character in the 30-50 region due to the free gifted levels). This mentions another plus for Account A: Every two levels a character on Account B gains allows that character to grant a free level to a character on Account A. This character may only gain levels up to the gifting characters level - ie, a level 60 character can take someone to 30 (using all their free levels) and then another level 60 can bring them up to 60 using its own, but a spare level 30 character can not be used to finish gifting levels to a character already at 30 seeking further growth. If you really have to burn the remaining levels before the accounts unlink, then congrats, you have a level 15 character of some random class to play bank alt with.
