There is only one joke that I've made regarding this, and that is that Thriller 2: The Sequel will be the most realistic video yet.
Note, it was in no way a little boy joke or something like most of the internet, why? Because I wasn't born in the 90s where the only exposure I had regarding the guy was frequent accusations being aired on television. I actually got to experience as some of the music was released over time.
He was good, and should be remembered as such. I'm sure Culkin is a bit messed up over his passing since (despite the claims of the tv and such) the two are/were still on very good terms with keeping contact with each other; and no, not those terms, since Culkin is in a long term relationship with the chick from that 70's show (the ditzy exotic one). I only know that since they both play WoW heavily, thus being plastered over half the blogs at some point XD
Point is, MJ should be remembered as a great musician and for the contributions that he made.

It's amazing how an individual's success can implant compassion and love for that individual in people's hearts.
It's also amazing how 'acquitted' doesn't mean shit when the proposed crime is molestation.
And Belle, that comic was hilarious.

Innocent men don't pay that kind of money to keep things quiet. This man was a monster who just happened to be an extremely talented musician.

He was definately a flawed individual, undoubtedly his life, his childhood in particular had a big effect on him mentally. I remember hearing in some interviews him saying how he felt like his childhood was taken from him, and that he never had the chance to experience being a kid. Which is really sad when you think about it. It seemed to me that he was trying to recapture his lost childhood by acting childish and surrounding himself with children. I recall him comparing himself to Peter Pan. It was all very strange.
I hope that, atleast in the short term, people remember the good things about him, his music, and the icon that he was, and not the negative things.

To strip someone's entire existence down to what they did wrong is shallow, ignorant, unfair, and just plain stupid.
EDIT: Even Hitler, for Christ's sake, had positive/admirable qualities.

"No how?"
"He died of food poisening."
"What did he heat?"

He definately had a huge impact. I've never seen so much coverage, and tributes to someones death. Literally half of the tv schedule for today had something to do with Michael Jackson.

Edit: Also, something something, he's dead, blah blah, I don't really care.
So, placing all bets for the next famous person to die.

A jury of your peers (well, technically, OUR peers; you're Canadian) concluded that he was innocent. As far as I'm concerned, that means he didn't do it.
A psychologist did a mental evaluation of him for the trial and found that his mental profile did not match that of a pedophile. Instead, he was essentially a regressed 10-year-old. He was wacky, but he didn't do anything wrong.
Unless you have personal, firsthand experience of Michael Jackson's pedophilia. In that case, we'd all be interested in hearing about it.

OJ Simpson was innocent too, right?
@Jaxx: To ignore it outright - as the vast majority have done since his death - would be even more atrocious.

So his tombstone should read:
Michael Jackson
Here Lies a Pedophile Who Contributed Nothing To The World But Pedophilia
I don't think a headstone of such width exists, honestly.
EDIT: The point is reverence. Nobody is IGNORING that he was a pedophile, it's just not the time. Wtf is supposed to be going on, parades in the street that a man who allegedly raped little boys has died at 50? Every news broadcast going over Michael Jackson's death, as far as I have seen, have mentioned the trial, the allegations, the erratic behavior, etc. Why dwell on that, as opposed to dwelling on the good things he did, and the sheer massive amount of human beings he inspired and motivated?

Actually, what little I saw on MTV was about how he helped people worldwide and how much positive influence he had.

Michael Jackson is not going to be buried, or cremated, but recycled into plastic shopping bags so he can remain white, plastic, and dangerous for kids to play with!
That is all.

Okay, Jack, fine. Think what you want. It's obvious you're only hearing what you want anyway. I never said we shouldn't- fuck it, it doesn't matter.
I'm done here.

Growing up in the 90's im only gonna know Michael Jackson for his crazyness/obsession with being a child. Whenever someone dies its sad, but i just dont feel nearly as bad as some other people do. Maybe if i knew him more as the King of Pop rather than the baby dangling Chairman of Neverland Ranch things would be different. All that aside R.I.P.

Lol, I had forgotten all about the baby dangling. Good times.
Evan showed me this earlier: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4s16pzRYqU
A live performance of Man in The Mirror where people are crying, falling out, being carried away on stretchers, and just screaming at how awesome he was. I kind of think people were just feeling out of breath because they were getting pushed against the steal gate thing by the massive droves of people behind them, but still.
I'm not the HUGEST fan of Michael Jackson (it is pop at the end of the day), but I wish I didn't wait until he died to get more into his music. I was a huge fan of about 5 of his songs, but that was all I had ever really listened to before.
His album sales went up 700%. Thriller was a monster before, I can't wait to see what the number is after this is all over.

Guess that's it for now.
