Yeah, they had a couple of decent games. Decades ago. They've done nothing but take huge dumps into boxes and slap "Star Wars" on it.

It remains to be seen but I think bioware had the majority of control over the project. When you have two of the most beloved starwars games, indeed adaptations, you have a lot of weight to throw around.

My favorite thing about KOTOR was that it utilized the setting without blatantly pandering to all the morons who bust a load when Luke Skywalker and Han Solo start dancing around the screen nonsensically.

That's really what I'm hoping for with this MMO.

What I'm curious about that I read in an article what seems like a long time ago is that there's an RP explanation for people being afk. Should be interesting.

Sucks. That was once a pretty good game until they ruined it with retarded shit. Like allowing everyone to roll a Jedi. Still, 'tis a shame that a game with so much history as that is going to be deceased just because a new Star Wars game is coming out.

I'll check it out, but I'm still with some analysts views on this project. They would have to have more subscribers then wow does to even start making money, and that's mind boggling. Wow took years to reach that number, so if this thing flops, it's going to be a huge blow to Bioware.

That being said, if it does awesome (and let's face it, even if it was utter trash star wars fans would buy it), I will be picking it up.

Edit: Sounded like I was bashing the game and saying wow is great. I love Kotor, btw, even though I was disappointed it was going to be a mmo. Also, I'm a huge Star Wars fan. XD.

I can't decide which faction I'd rather be on. I think I like the republic's look/feel more, but Sith have FORCE LIGHTNING. Decisions.

I actually played SWG for a while. In all honesty, the only part of the game I really enjoyed was the space combat. If there was an MMO of that specific kind of space combat (read: not EVE), I would probably play it. The X-Wing series of games were some of the best video games I've ever played.

I'm a little disappointed that the space combat in SWTOR is being dumbed down to a rail shooter.
