Ok. I'm going to pull out all the quotes that I see as relevant to this. Your claim is that no rules were broken. (From here:http://www.cdbzrpg.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25971)

Quote:By registering an account with our boards, joining, and/or becoming a member, you are agreeing to abide by any and all rules and regulations we the staff have set down on both the website and the forums, based on our interpretation only. They are not subject to negotiation. You also agree to accept any disciplinary action that may result in violation of these rules. All members and registered accounts are expected to read these rules and be aware of their existence prior to any infraction. Ignorance will never be an acceptable excuse: it isn’t bliss, it’s stupid.

We reserve the right to change any and all rules at any point and time under our discretion. We the staff will make every attempt to make these rules as thorough as possible, we will make every effort to provide you with the information that you as a member or registered account need to know. Some information is classified as staff-only and will remain as such.

The staff here at Chubbs will never abuse our power, but we are required to use it. We assure you that there is reasoning behind all of our actions, even if it goes misunderstood.
This is a quote from the forum rules that members agree to when they create an account. (From here:http://www.cdbzrpg.com/forum/announcement.php?f=135)

Quote:Respect others as you would in real life. If you're doing something that wouldn't be acceptable if the person you're talking to were sitting at a table with you, chances are it also isn't accepted on CDBZRPG.
Quote:Disobeying a Mod
If a mod makes a reasonable request that you do or not do something, please follow his or her instructions.
Quote:Interpretation of the Forum Rules is always at the discretion of the Chubbs DBZ RPG staff.
According to the rules, we could warn and ban people for anything we wanted to whenever we wanted to and not care at all. In fact, those are the rules that all the members have already agreed to by posting on these forums.

We're not out to do that. This isn't about going on a power trip and picking on someone. You were asked not to do something. According to you, you did not do that thing. According to me, you did. That's what this comes down to and, according to all of the rules, it is the staff's opinion that is final.

I do not think I am being unreasonable. You were given a 1-point infraction that expires in 90 days. I think that is perfectly appropriate for what I see you having done.

While quoting rules, I found some others that are applicable to this ordeal: (From here: http://www.cdbzrpg.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25971)

Quote:Staff ruling is final. Staff decisions are considered final. You don’t have to like it, but you do have to listen to and abide by it. Do not attempt to “petition” a ruling, and do not constantly ask over and over again if you’ve already been told the answer. Basically, what staff says, goes. Staff authority goes as follows, starting from the highest: administrator, super moderator, moderator.
Quote:Be respectful of staff. We’re not the most popular people sometimes, but we are necessary to the function and continuation of this RPG. We are offering our free time to provide the best possible experience for everybody and to keep things running as smoothly as we can. We are human, and we do have lives outside of this. So we expect to be treated with civility at the very least, and that you understand we can’t dedicate every minute of our day to this site. If you have a problem with a particular staff member, please privately talk it out with that staff member in a polite and adult manner, or bring the issue up with an administrator. Bottom line: treat us with respect, and we will give you the same courtesy.
I'm sure this will not change your opinion on this matter, but I felt it reasonable to show you where I see you as having broken our rules.

EDIT: Once again, these rules make it sound like we're prepared to be complete assholes to everyone for no reason. We're reasonable people and only use our power where we feel necessary. These have always been the rules, it's not like we're suddenly going to start abusing our power at every opportunity.

Again you have proven you can do whatever the fuck you want without a fucking problem with it even if you were in the wrong and knew it. Congratulations.

Case and point. Nothing wrong was done. You get away with doing whatever the fuck you want. And I have to fucking deal with it. Congratulations.

Im glad you guys have rules set in place to show that you are always right even when your wrong. 'Congratulations on being the definition of elitist. Even when your proven wrong you get to back pedal and "im right your wrong deal with it."

Congratulations.

Psyren, your comments have been addressed. I'm sorry that you disagree with the way that it was handled and I'm sorry that getting an infraction has been taken in such a way.

A warning is a simple public post informing a member when we feel something is a bit over the line and needs to be adjusted, so that everyone can see the situation. Sometimes they are made within that forum (and noted on the member's account) while other times they are simply a post made in the threads themselves with comments such as "Get back on topic".

An infraction, which you received, tends to follow a warning ALTHOUGH there is no requirement that a warning be given beforehand (although you have been contacted through private methods as well as responses in threads regarding previous situations before), and both the handling and value of said infraction is at the discretion of the staff body.

Ander Wrote:Infractions and Warnings are made automatically through your posts. Infractions are Red Cards, and worth points; Warnings are Yellow Cards, and while they are not worth points, continuation of the offending behavior will result in Infractions. All will expire after 90 days.

Each time a certain number of points is accumulated, your account will be temporarily disabled for a specific number of days, which occurs automatically.

The point system goes as follows:

Any points accumulated in excess of 11 will be dealt with at the discretion of the administrative staff. We also reserve the right to give temporary or permanent bans outside of this point system should we deem it necessary.

If a member feels that they are being mistreated, the staff body of the Chubbs forum discusses it (which we have) and puts in their input. Sometimes we are unanimous, sometimes we have disagreements of our own. In the end, an escalation goes up the chain until it finally goes to the owner of the website, Josh. He reviews the situation, asks us to state our reasoning for the response we gave, and then looks over the posts in question himself. If he does not deem it deserving of the level of infraction it has been given, he reserves full right to reduce or increase the level of severity, or to even veto the warning. We have done this in the past.

In your specific case, he has reviewed the situation and feels that it was the appropriate action. Its unfortunate that you believe everyone on staff to include the owner is in a big conspiracy to do everything in their power to attack you, one point at a time with a time limit of 90 days, but there's nothing more to say on the subject. You've been given the quotes, of which you feel they completely have nothing to do with your post. We've stated our stances on the situation.

Your 1 point warning will expire in 90 days.

I want my membership removed from this site effective immediately. As I said before "When it becomes acceptable behavior for a mod or admin to pick and choose what they deem fit when clearly nothing wrong took place. Then this site becomes a place I dont want to be apart of. " You have all proven that this site is beyond elitist. What you say goes and you have rules in place to always be right even when your wrong and I can see that very clearly.

I don't want to be a member of a place where its alright to get away with stuff like that just because you feel like it. The im right your wrong policy is fucked up beyon reason. And exactly as stated the mods and admins back each other up and hold a unified front on every damn thing no matter what so dont give me that whole we all discuss it. Its a fucking case of im right your wrong get the fuck over it psyren.

This happened a while back to when we were all discussing the use of the room of space and time. Almost every member felt it needed to have a different use than what the mods and admins wanted. We were ignored and after the arguing went on Josh swooped in and said get the fuck over it, its my site.

When a member of 2 years who never had any major issues and has only received one warning. And when hes wrong he admits it and accepts his punishment. Gets up in arms over being done wrong. It should be noted and trying to figure out why he feels so hurt should be on the top of the priority list.

Instead that member gets sand kicked in his teeth and is told to sit down shut the fuck up and get over it. Well as I told Vad on aim " FUCK THAT NOISE"

I can leave or stay. I choose to leave because this place is going down the fucking drain and will contiue to go down the fucking drain as long as the fucking mods and admins ignore what the fuck is going on. No mod should ever be able to just decide that something they dont like gets removed and the person punished when they didnt do anything wrong at all.

It boils down to " Hmmmm I dont like this....It doesnt break any clearly defined rules in the rule book.... but the rule book does say as a mod/admin...I can do what the fuck i want at my own discretion....fuck you little member....heres some rocks with your sand asswipe."

I dont have to deal with this shit and no one is forcing me to stay. I fucking stayed cuz i loved this site but this shit gets old so damn fast. You ignore it and ignore it until it builds up and you cant do shit about it. The fucking mods and admins make you feel so pathetic that you dont feel like you can go to them when you arent feeling good, and theres a problem on the site or even in your own personal life.

You dont trust them. You always have to watch your back because one tiny ass little itsy bitsy thing might set them off. They might be having a bad day and take everythign you do as a wrong doing and give you an infraction.

Fuck that noise.

I love this place. I love almost everything about this place. I even wanted to boost my activity by helping vad and the gang with whatever the fuck they were doing.

I used to go to vad with my problems because he fucking listened and didnt hold power over anyone. He just listened offered advice and most of the time a way out of it or a way to deal with it. He handled shit like a boss.

Over time i felt like I couldnt even go to him anymore for anything because I was a fucking bother a low life maggot ass runt who he would step on eventually.

Vad is the main reason I stayed in the first place. He always calmed me down helped me to see that everything was ok and there wasn't a reason to leave. He actually gave a shit about my well being not just on the site but outside of it.

Victoria tries to help whenever she can. She is very reasonable.

Kaden is a dick. A major fucking dick. Every post I have ever seen from him outside of a rp has been a dick move. A dick comment. Or just being mean as shit for no fucking reason. He has a fucking chip on his shoulder the size of a basket ball. If hes in a bad mood your gonna get the long hard end of his pissed of cock. He trys to help...by being an ass hole.

Josh mr " I own the site so suck my dick and get over it." fuck you. You always pull the its my site im in charge suck it your wrong im right bullshit everytime ive seen you jump into a problem. You are a cold hearted asswipe.

Ashe...Just fuck you I just cant stand you period. You always chime in with this 20 page long fuckign replys trying to prove a point but end up looking like a douchebag.

Meer- I hated your guts when i joined this site...I actually gained some respect for you over the passed few weeks. I have nothing to say about you. You may fucking hate me but i respect you.

For any other mods/admins i may have missed fuck you you werent important enough to mention.

Remove my membership from this site. And last but not lease. Fuck you.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Its especially frustrating that the posts in this thread (http://www.cdbzrpg.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28769) were written by me to protect primarily you, with additional others, despite other members disagreeing with said ruling where I was looking out for you, and yet you feel I'm doing everything I can to attack you. There's clearly nothing I can do to change that stance.

That said, it was a good provocation to make such a post because there are other members who equally deserved the right to not be baited into conversations they wanted to avoid.

I sincerely wish you the best in the future, where ever it may take you.

EDIT: This thread is closed, as there is nothing more to be discussed.

Orion Wrote:You got it, chief.

Please don't.

I'm not removing his access. I'm giving the situation time to pass so that he can decide at a better time (and state of mind) what he wishes to do before any action is taken that might be irreversible, to both his character and his account. People get mad and say things in anger. That's not to belittle his concerns in any way, but there's no harm done by simply leaving the account inactive if he decides he doesn't wish to visit, as long as that access does not get abused in the future.

I might lock the account temporarily, however, to give him a break. I'm undecided.

Kaden or Josh can approach me if they feel differently, as always.

Just realized I hadn't actually posted what happened. On 7/19/2011 at 7am EST I decided the best course of action would be to temporarily lock the account for a 3 day period, ending on 7/22/2011 at 7am EST, to allow for everyone to gather themselves a bit or simply walk away from the situation, whichever of those two options. If he wishes to talk to us, then that's absolutely an option. If he chooses to follow through with leaving the site, then that's also an option and there would be no reason to even return to check on things. At this point in time, he's free to make his own decision on how he wishes to proceed.

I would prefer that whichever route he ultimately chooses, neither of them should result in the need to actually block the account because I don't feel the situation is at an extreme that deserves to have his ability to read the site (and thus perhaps contact any friends or at least read to get contact information on friends).

We'll see what the situation evolves to.

EDIT: User's account now has posting access once more as of 7am EST, 7/22/2011.
