Wanted to respond to some stuff during the last day phase and didn't get the chance. Fortunately, some of it has already come up, so this will still be very relevant.

2. Kaden is on my list now. Kayne's actions make me suspicious as is, and Kaden (and myself) began to follow her lead when she suggested (a good suggestion) to eliminate inactives. Following that, he then began giving short posts about the need to vote against Doe, more or less just using vague arguments of why the second most active and probing person in the game should be removed, and Kayne immediately agrees and votes with him, helping derail a vote that's in place while knowing we need a strict majority. He isn't probing and asking nearly as many questions as I feel he usually does and is coming off more as just riding out a victory. This suspicion is going to be called a weak claim, but I disagree with that.

There's been this theme of "trying to vote off one of the most active means he's mafia" and I really don't understand that. Activity has absolutely jack-shit to do with someone's alignment. Look at the last game. A ton of inactive townspeople and the people who were active were able to completely railroad everyone. One Day 3, the situation wasn't far off. A handful of inactive and only a few really active people who will be able to largely dictate the flow of the game.

I withdrew my vote against 17 because I didn't think we'd be able to lynch someone who can reduce their votes and wanted to try and go for someone who we might actually be able to kill and who, to me, seemed to be playing suspiciously. If Kayne's information is correct, that was a really bad call and only made me look more suspicious. I can't really do anything about that now.

I'd rather give Kaden a chance to defend himself before claiming he's mafia. I've read his stuff, and I think his suspicions about me aren't completely illogical, even if I am trying to rally the town.

I appreciate that. Like I said, last game was a crushing defeat because the super active people were mafia. I'm probably just being overly sensitive about it, but Ashe spent a lot of time in Mumble after the game was over bitching (and rightfully so) about how ridiculous that was.

What makes Ashe not-mafia, Doe? Only reason I can see is that he shared my ability, whereas he could've kept it a secret and used it for nefarious purposes like feeding me false information if he was mafia. On the flipside, revealing it to the town is a good way to gain credibility, and it's pretty much worthless at this point.

Right now my biggest guess for mafias are bang-on what 17 said the last round with Doe, Kaden and Ashe. Doe just seems like he's trying to lead us in circles.

That's exactly what I was trying to communicate in Day 3 when I voted for Doe.

I dunno... it usually seems like he's trying to rally people. This time it just seems like he's trying to manipulate them. I don't have any real logic beyond my gut, but there it is.

Maybe he totally is the doctor and he's actually trying to do good, but... yeah. He's still on my suspicious list.

The actual fuck. Ok, look, you saw how Ashe said he was Rattata, and that he had an ability to add a vote count to his own vote should he choose to? Then the part where he proved that he wasn't bullshitting about it? And the part where mafia having an extra vote is fucking ridiculous and out of the fucking question? How is he still a fucking suspect?

I can tell you without a shadow of a fucking doubt that I am Tentacruel (since the cat is out of the fucking bag, I will dance with it, dammit) and I am this game's doctor. Are you guys seriously considering that anyone (even Mal) would give the Mafia a fucking doctor with this few people? Are you guys insane? I can prove it too, by nightfall, beyond any chance of rebuttal, that I am who I say I am. First of all, I was able to evolve because two of my allies died (the townies Blue and Maruset) which let me become Tentacruel. Before, I was only able to save people through Barrier, and I could use it during the night. Now, I have Hex, which lets me save people during both phases, the drawback being that if I use it during the day, Tentacruel is revealed to have used it. If I use my Hex any time after that, I reveal myself as Tentacruel.

I already used my Hex this day phase, so I'm just waiting for Mal to update that Tentacruel has used the power.

Lynching your doctor is by and large the stupidest thing you could possibly do, especially with the town's numbers as low as they are right now.

With all this buttfuckery happening today, the only option I can think of is to let Ashe evolve into Raticate, kill Android 17 during the night, then figure out who the balls is the other mafia.

Why not? It can help both factions in some way, not to mention, cause some drama. As you said, why would someone give the doctor role to mafia? To throw suspicion. No one would immediately think that a doctor would be mafia, and it would be hard to be convinced otherwise.

I'm not trying to accuse you of being mafia (right now, because I just do not know) but I do think you are wrong to think that it isn't feasible that a doctor role couldn't be mafia.

Rose is the person I'm most suspicious of, at the moment. He seems to be relatively high on everyone's list, but no action has been taken against him. I'm holding off on my vote until Mal updates with Tentacruel using his ability.

As a sign of good faith, Mal should also be updating that I will be evolving into Wigglytuff. While Eevee doesn't have an ability of his own, my evolution can take on the ability of anyone who has already died. I was hoping to snag the ability of one of the mafia players in the game, but we might not make it that far and since he let me take Wigglytuff (instead of Jigglypuff, who never had a chance to evolve) that seemed like the way to go.

Thank you for this. Even if you are bullshitting us, at least there is something we can see to cross reference. If I were looking at these abilities in a vacuum, here would be my immediate thoughts. Doe's Tentacool is not what prevented lynchings. We lost lynchings 100% to simply not voting. A save ability would prevent mafia kills, which we actually haven't managed to do.

Furthermore, we know that Tentacool evolved into Tentacruel. Here's where it gets odd for me. See, if I were designing these at this point, I would not want to put the doctor ability on the mafia side. However, Tentacruel could easily have a flip of that ability. I could easily see something like "Night, kill a player, reveal your alignment to everyone" or something like that. This is a MAJOR mixed signal here.

Kaden is Eevee. There's nothing to really know here other than "He doesn't have an ability that would rule him out for a mafia", if I were going by abilities alone.

Rose is Scyther. I already knew that, though I thought he might have been lying about it. So two options are that either you are backing up his claim (at least the one he made to me through PM) and gain credibility for your ability, letting you make up abilities for others who are mafia, or you are completely legit.

King B is dead and a townie. Unfortunate.

17, that makes sense. I'm not wasting more votes on him. I don't see why a mafia would have this ability, at least without some weakness so we could crack through said shell.

Absolutely nothing. If I were judging purely off abilities alone, I would honestly be suspicious of my ability (a vote adding ability and then later a vigilante kill ability that shows my alignment). Your entire first paragraph makes complete logical sense in my opinion and the only reason I can't simply agree with it is because of the fact that my character sheet tells me and I townie and I haven't been informed of any mafia connection. But that's not something you guys know, and I'm going to agree with your post. There's nothing I can do to prove my alignment other than get evolved and then kill someone so the GM has to announce it, and that's a major risk for you guys and the town in general to take. I wouldn't view it as worth it. So I can't do anything but hope people don't go for what would be a great red herring with me being a logical candidate, especially when I can't do anything but speculate why I haven't been axed by mafia yet. That said, there's quite a few prime people that haven't been axed instead losing random ass people.

No, there isn't an official count. We can only speculate. Normally, in a game this size, there would be 2 or 3, depending on the abilities. I'm starting to think that only 2 is a possibility this game, because too many people's ability make no sense to let the mafia use.

Here's a crazy fucking speculation.

I know only one thing to be pure fact. I am not a mafia member. The other things that I can only speculate on are that most of the revealed abilities in this game are not something I would feel comfortable with the mafia having. Those people are not someone I want to point the finger at now.

Vad is someone that I can't say one way or the other on, and Rose seems like an ability I'd be totally fine with mafia having. If I were other people and listing a third, I agree that I'd be listing me here, given the context related to other abilities.

The only flaw I recognize there is that I'm not a mafia member. So either someone is doing a damn good job at lying about their ability, something is seriously out of whack that we are overlooking, there are only two mafia, or another option that I am considering... Is it possible that the game started with only one mafia member, someone without an evolution and thus a constant, and then other character evolutions will change their alignments to mafia instead of town?

For example, if I change to Raticate, given the ability, will that then turn me into a mafia member? What about Tentacool changing into Tentacruel (if it does become offensive)? It would be a very interesting and wild wrench to throw into things.

EDIT: Meer has often expressed a personal dislike for these style of mafia games because of the sheer number of variables and this is probably the only time I've completely agreed with that. Normally I like the flavor and variety it brings, but I'm mostly just confused right now.
