As soon as she entered the small, carnivalesque atmosphere of Duran, Violet felt the tension bombard her like a brick wall smashing against her plaint body. The sounds were reminicent of a carnival, the only thing missing was the rides. Of course, this being Vegetasei, there were plenty of food booths. She would have to check out the funnel cake stand before she leaves.
"And what can I help you with today, ma'am?" The soft voice didn't quite match the burly man sitting behind a rickshaw desk, a stack of papers beside him, and a pen poised in his hand.
Turning her attention to him, she replied, "What is going on?"
"Oh? You haven't heard? Dante's Abyss. Its a game that takes place on an island on its own planet. This is signups, if you wish to join." He said, tapping his pen on the desk impatiently. "Are you going to sign up? There are people waiting, you know."
She glanced behind her, seeing only a few people behind her, and each waiting rather patiently, either chomping on the goods purchased at the booths or...well, eating. Is that all these monkeys know how to do is eat?
Sighing, Violet turned to the guy, whose nametag read simply, "Bob". "Well, Bob, I guess I am game for this little event. What do I need to do?"
Bob pulled from his side a camera, small, silver in color, with a large screen on the back. He set it on the table and then laid papers beside it. "We will measure your fighting ability. I need you to show me what you can do."
Tweaking a brow, Violet frowned. "And why, may I ask, do you need the camera for?" She was thinking some kind of sick voyerism, but was wrong.
"There will be 44 entrants across the galaxy. Only 44 entrants. Needless to say, there will be alot more than that signing up. We have to choose the best based on the fan's opinions."
"Basically, its a popularity contest, then, right?" She groaned. "I hate popularity contests."
The man set his pen down, and removed his glasses. "No one is forcing you to sign up, although, if you choose to decline, you will miss out on the winnings."
"Winnings? Psh. Please. Bribing won't help. But if I must show you what I got, fine. Lets do this shit." She scribbled her name onto his little sheet of paper and laid the pen down.
Bob stood from his chair. " First, though, I need you to visit that man-" He pointed to a taller man in a white labcoat. Doctor. Damn. "Over there. You need to have a physical done before we can measure your ability."
Grunting in anger, she nodded. "Fine..."
The saiyan led her over to the labcoat and gave him her information. The man in the coat smiled, and greeted her warmly. "Hello, Violet. My name is-"
"Can it, fucknut. Just have a look so we can get this over with."
Taken aback by the woman's rudeness, he excused himself, and led her into a makeshift exam room. the white curtains made her want to puke, with its sterility and shit. Reminded her too much of the hospital.
"So, Miss Violet;" He pulled out his steathiscope, moving closer to the purple haired woman, who was too distracted with her surroundings to pay attention. As soon as the cold metal of the instrument touched her left breast, she jumped in surprise, and pulled back her fist, smashing it into the saiyan doctor's face. Before she realized what she had done, the man tore through the curtains, and smashed into a food cart, out cold.
There was a shuffle of feet, and then, a shaggy black tressed head peeked through the rip in the curtains. Bob. "Holy shit! Did you do that?!"
Rubbing her sore fist, she looked at him sheepishly, knowing full well she should feel bad for what she did, but surprisingly, didn't. "Yeah...he caught me off guard. Apologies." She mumbled.
"Well, so much for the test. The little camera up there caught the action, so, congrats. You're signed up."
Narrowing her eyes in disbelief, she retorted tartly;"Well, damn, man. If that was all I had to do, then why didn't I do it to you? It would have been more satisfying."
Ignoring her remark, he motioned her out of the small tent. "Go over to one of those teletubes and you will be on your way. Good luck!"
OOC: Possibly not my best, but this is without a word editor, still trying to get everything hooked up.
Fuck you, Photobucket.
Old Captain Silver
Unregistered
Silver stared off into the distance, scanning the area overlooking the headquarters the man had recently called home. His orange hair shifted in the breeze and his black trenchcoat whiped at his feet. Cara, Silver's fiance, came up behind him with a man whom Silver had never seen before. The orange haired man turned a set his uniquly silver eyes on the male. In his hands was a clipboard and a pen on there was a camera slung around his shoulder.
"Are you by any chance the man whom they call Silver?" the man asked. Silver walked over and then stopped right in fromt of his visitor.
"Yes I am," the orange haired human replied. "What of it?"
"Just fill this application in and you'll soon find out," the man said in an inaprroprite tone. "It is for the game of all time, Dante's Abyss."
Careful boy, Jyuken said in Silver's mind. I don't like this and you shouldn't either.
Silver ignored the voice inside his head and reached a white gloved hand towards the pen. Taking the clipboard he filled it in silently, not paying any attention to his surroundings.
Name: Silver
Planet: Earth
Sex: Male
Species: Human
Age: 24
Things we should know about you: I have a tattoo that connects me to a weapon and a soul is stuck in my head.
The man took the clipboard back and looked it over. He then chuckled at the last part.
"You can't be serious?" he asked. The orange haired man just stared at the man with his silver eyes, not a single expression on his face. "Well, now I need a picture and then show me your ablities."
Quickly the man snapped a picture and then left Silver alone. Being able to show off greatly pleased the orange haired human. He immiediatly dug into his inner self pushing his new found ability, spiritken free. The silver green aura burst around him causing his trench coat to spin around. He then started a series of movments that did not seem normal to the man judgeing him. Silver's movements seemed to be displacing air and that stunned the judge.
"That will be all," he said. "Now if you come with me you will be able to take part in the best contest you ever will enter."
OOC: Signed up! Didn't have time to spell check or look over. Hope I get in. If this is not up to standards then just pm me.

"Dante's Abyss" the namekian observed a black banner with red, blood like, writing.
Retane looked on, from atop of a plateau, down into the valley that held a native village. The excited commotion had drawn the mercenary from his temporary resting spot under the cover of the outskirts of a wooded area. A ship had landed on the outskirts of the village, bringing a hault to all chores as the namekian clan looked on.
The hosts of the ship had set of a high banner and a few tables and chairs right outside of the ship. Only the village elder appraoched the desk where one human sat while the rest or the village stood back.
"Why do you come here and disturb our home each year", began the elder. "No one here wishes to fight in your silly little competition. No warriors live here in these parts. Save us the misery and just go now."
The human offered no reply as he just looked on, bored of hearing the same ol', same ol'. He hated coming here as he never got any challengers to step up and join the fight to the death tournament form this area. Little had he known, he was going to get what he wanted.
A lone warrior, dressed in a black cloak, pushed through the crowd, and passed the elder namek. Trailing his path came the arachnid he had become freinds with in the past coming days. All eyes soon were focused on this being of mystery.
"He asked you to leave, but you do not. Why is that human?" Retane's voice rang with seriousness, as he attempted to scare these intruders with a bluff.
"Because I was sent here to register fighters that wish to join Dante's Abyss", retorted the human as he stood up. His adrenaline pumped as he surveyed the hidden humanoid. It possibly could be a fighter.
"What is this Abyss", questioned Retane as he took the bait.
"A tournament, battle royal style. Last man standing wins. Everyone in the universe is invited to sign up with their application", boasted the host, hoping to lure his potential victim in. Though he could not see the eyes or face of the namekian, the human knew that he didn't have his catch on the hook yet. "If you join, I promise to leave this kind village alone!"
Retane honestly could care less, he was intrigued by the idea but his mission held him back.
As if empathic, a vocie chimed in to answer his inner questions, "Go. We have ample time to retrieve the Tokens after your tournament. While you are gone I shall seek out their locations."
The namekian mercenary looked back to Lecath, his eight legged ally. The spider was right. He did have time and he desired the adventure, plus he had a chance to meet and recruit allies of his cause while he was there. Retane nodded as his problems were solved and never looked as he approached the desk.
'I shall return Lecath, my friend", called the namekian withoutturning his head. "I'll join the Abyss", stated the mercenary as he lowered his hood, squinting in pain from the bright suns that tormented him daily.
"Great", exclaimed the host as he sat down and grabbed a pen, 'Namekian, from planet Namek", spoke the human as his hand etched the information. "Name?"
"Retane."
"Ok great then. Now go stand over there and when I say go, I want you to give me a sample of your skills", Ushered the alein of the planet.
The warrior did as he was told. He had a small idea on what he would do. When the word came, Retane threw back his cloak and entered a fighting stance. His gaze met the camera with a look of seriousness. A grey aura formed around the nameiak as his power spiked within seconds.Placing his palms together, energy began to form. Soon the energy turned from white to a smoky hazed color. Drawing his cupped hands to his sides, the namekian charged more power into the attack.A smirk edged on his face.
"Shotgun!"
The energy in his hands seemed to jump at the word.
"Kamehameha!"
As the green arms shot forward, the massive energy surge scattered into peices. The camera and equipment near it caught the energy full forced and became nothing put mere partical dust. The namek looked at the human as he returned to his normal stature, "Now what?"
The human just pointed towards a teletube. Retane had seen one before and knew what he had to do. He entered it, ready for the adventure that lie in wait.

The air inside of the reception area was markedly warmer compared to the small blizzard that Buu had just stepped out from, and he felt a silent twinge of gratitude rush through him as he took a deep breath and lowered the hood of his coat. It was a small thing, the coat, a children's item that he had picked up at a local store for only a few zeni. He could have just taken it and not paid, of course, but his power had come with a price, and that price was the constant nagging influence of one portly, cigar-smoking drink obsessed ex-director of such children's classics as 'Rub My Horn', 'Touch the Button' or some other such rubbish.
Buu looked around. The reception area for the Earth station had a not unpleasant feel too it, spacious and clean, but not entirely welcoming either. A grand hall the width of a football field extended back almost out of sight ahead of him, a small reception desk smashed up against the distant wall. Every so often he heard a soft pop, like lips bursting apart, but otherwise there was complete silence. Buu adjusted his jacket around his shoulders and began to walk. Cameras followed him, but when he turned his head to look at them they turned their faces away, whistling a low electronic tune.
Signs placed conveniently at intervals assured him that the registration desk was only two, one and a half, and then finally one mile away. He sighed and reached into his stomach, pulling out a packet of cigarettes and jumping out into his waiting fingers. A cigarette could never compare to a good Cuban cigar in his opinion, but it would have to do for a quick fix. Looking back on it later, he would wonder why he hadn't used his henka beam to transform his small little deathstick into the boom variety. Maybe even then he knew just how hard the coming days were going to be, if only subconsciously.
Although the hall seemed to be a public area, no one screamed at him to put out his fag. He took a long draw of menthol, smoke and cancer as he resumed his trip down the hall. Occasionally he tilted his hand and shook ashes onto the floor. What were they going to do if they called him on it? Make him eat them? They didn't taste that bad.
When he finally reached the source of that strange popping noise, he was surprised. "Hello," said the giant orange colored fish sitting behind the desk, lowering his newspaper. His lips closed, opened.
Pop.
"You're a goldfish," Buu observed, watching the creature's gills open and suck at nothing.
The fish looked down at himself appraisingly, nodded once quietly, and lifed the newspaper back up to his face with the air of someone putting a long debated argument to rest.
Don't ask, Buu told himself, determined not to look at or puzzle out how the fish could hold onto a newspaper with fins. "Uh, yeah. Okay. I guess that works, in a screwed up kind of way. I'd like to register for the Dante's Abyss." he looked down as a drawer behind the desk popped open, and a small crab scuttled out from inside, carrying a piece of paper within one pincer and pen in the other. "Huh."
The crab set the paper and pen down on the countertop and waited expectantly as Buu read over the rules and marked his name where appropriate. After finishing Buu handed the paper back, the crab bowed, and retreated back into its poorly lit office. Not a word had yet passed from the popping lips of the goldfish, who seemed to have a remarkable lifeishness about him, despite the fact that he should have been drowning, a sea dweller, and the size of Buu's thumb. Instead of turning belly up in his recliner however, the fish instead turned the newspaper page. Ironically, to the funnies, where each and every day a little part of Buu died inside, curled up in the fetal position as he was gently beaten to death with cliches.
Buu waited. He rubbed the back of his head twice, trying to get rid of a strange itch, wondering what he had gotten himself into.
Pop. Sigh.
"Marco," the goldfish belched as he looked up from Family Circus.
"Excuse me?" Buu said, quite sure that he had misheard. Unless either the fish or crab's name was Marco - which would be too bad, because Buu had already gone through the trouble of naming the hard shelled paper filer Sebastian - the living non-sequitor wasn't addressing anyone in the room.
"Marco," Goldie belched again.
Suddenly it clicked. "Polo?"
Suddenly gunfire erupted from the surrounding cameras. Deadly looking machine guns popped out from small compartments and eagerly sprayed scorching pellets through Buu's body, turning him into a puttalin version of swiss cheese. He felt his body jerked by miniature explosions as some shrapnel detonated inside of him, spraying small globules of puttalin across the goldfish's immaculate desk.
It leveled one unblinking dark eye on him, or maybe he was trying to read Garfield with the other. Either way, the fish looked bored as Buu's head detached from his body, falling onto the ground at his feet, his arms following soon after. The bullets continued to spray as a trapdoor opened up and Buu fell, plummeted through endless darkness. The disparate parts of his anatomy pulled themselves back together, snapping and swelling back into place with difficulty as he roared towards the unknown. In a flash, he was gone, whisked away to the Abyss.
The desk's drawer ponderously slid open again, and the small crab emerged with an equally miniature mop, cleaning up the small drops of pink goo that had splattered across the desk. His eyes swiveled accusingly on Goldie, but the goldfish remained impassive. Sebastian said silently: One of these days, someone's not going to survive that.
Goldie sighed, disappointed. "Not today."
Pop.

"Ok sir, if you could just sign here..."
A woman shoved a piece of paper and a pen under Rad's nose. The saiyan looked down at them groggily, no sign of recognition to be found anywhere on his face. Absent-mindledly he picked up the pen and placed it to the paper. As his hand moved of its own volition, he gazed around the room he had stumbled into. It was surprisingly barren, but that didn't register anything with him at the moment.
"Excuse me, sir." The woman pulled the piece of paper from the bulky saiya-jin, a frown creasing her features. "Is your name really 'three crunchy tacos and a large coke'?"
"Eh?" It was Rad's turn to frown. "Of course that's not my name! Its my order."
The woman cocked an eyebrow at him, then quickly lowered it when she heard him mutter something about being a moron under his breath. She crumpled up the paper and tossed it behind her. With a renewed smile (something only a trained receptionist can truely pull off) she produced another paper and slid it back towards the warrior. Rad was too busy yawning to notice.
"Excuse me, sir. If you could just sign... uh... sign here..."
Rad had taken to randomly wandering around the room, paying no mind to the receptionist or her piece of paper. He wasn't brought out of his stupor until a pen bounced off the back of his head and clattered noisily against the tiled floor. Rad whirled about instinctively, throwing his weight into a practiced fighting stance. As luck would have it, the ball of his foot came down neatly on the pen that had been used to assault his head. The pen rolled away under his weight and sent the warrior sprawling to the floor. In a rage, Raditzu lept up, screaming at the pen. His outburst, however, was cut short by the giggling of the receptionist.
"Think that's funny, eh?" Rad narrowed his eyes at the woman, who simply nodded and tried to stifle her laughing with her hand.
No sooner had she nodded than the pen had erupted into small bits of melting plastic. Rad was about to claim victory over the vicious Bic when ink sprayed across his face, creating a rather neat speckled pattern. His head snapped back towards the woman.
"I swear to god... if you laugh..."
At this warning, the woman disappeared behind her desk, a small chuckle quickly following her. Rad sauntered over to the piece of paper that he had originally be handed and swiped it off the counter. His eyes darted back and forth, quickly scanning the document, but not actually processing any of it. He leaned over the counter to find the receptionist, still giggling.
"What the hell is this?" he batted the paper in his hand. "Since when does Taco Shack need to know my name, race, age and... uh..." he glanced at the paper, "preferred method of decapitation? I just want a damned taco!"
"This isn't the Taco Shack, sir. That's next door." The woman pointed through the wall to her left.
"Eh...?" Rad followed her point, his face flushing ever so slightly. "Well... then what is this?"
"Sign ups for the next Dante's Abyss, hosted by the Synex Corporation."
"Oh... sweet."
Rad pointed an open palm at the wall the woman had pointed at. It, quite unceremoniously, erupted into nothingness and the warrior strolled into the Taco Shack he had originally been seeking. From the DA sign-up office the woman could hear the saiyan ordering, as he had to shout over the various screams and calls for help. When he came back (a bag full of tacos secured tightly in his right hand) he grabbed a new pen from behind the woman's desk and quickly scribbled down the information requested. Both his video and picture were of him enjoying his tasty, south-of-the-border treat.

Murasaki smiled meagerly as he walked up to a small booth outside of his normal watering hole.
?Welcome sir; care to sign up for the next biggest event since the birth of Christ?? The ninja didn?t particularly believe in the lord Jesus as his savior, but if this event could boast such a catch phrase well then it must be true. He nodded as he approached the table to acquire more information.
?So, what?s the gist of this here event?? The ninja asked his eye brow perking as he bent his back and extended his arm. Slowly and sloppily he scribbled his name down.
?The only information we have at this moment is that 44 contestants shall enter, however only one shall leave.?
?Ooooh?Scary,? That dark clad figure responded a smile crossing his face as he did so. The brunette looked at him, her face showing she was growing tired of his dry sense of humor and his poor punch lines.
?Please step to the booth over there sir?? she said, pointing to her left. ?They will take your head shots for the final screening process of the event.?
The human sulked over towards the booth, pulling the curtain aside as he reached it. He entered to what looked like an automated photo booth however there was an actual camera man inside. He motioned Murasaki to the far side; a yellow strip of tape lay across the floor. His eyes narrowed in on the little ducky that hung from the ceiling by a small thread of twine. It hung just over the flash of the camera, which was exactly where he was supposed to stare. The bulb inside the flash went off blinding the ninja for a moment. The photographer asked Murasaki to turn to his left, and another picture was taken. Then to his right.
?Alright son, everything should be in order. You turned in your tape, there should be a teletube somewhere around here to get you to the waiting grounds.
OOC: Craptastic but here I am.

Yamu smiled to himself as the spirited girl stormed off into the photo booth. ?Damn, she?s so easy to get to??
?Sir?? the woman at the desk asked curtly.
?Yamu, Earth, don?t know how old. I think that about covers it, yes??
?Last name.?
?What?!?
?What-is-your-last-name.? The woman replied in an extremely slow tone as if explaining it to a three year old.
?I don?t have one?? Yamu said more then a little embarrassed.
?Can you come up with one for me? I really don?t feel like explaining this to my boss?just give yourself a scary epithet or something??
?Hmm?? The monolithic human rubbed is forehead with two fingers as he was apt to do in deep thought. ?Bloodletter? No?Nameksworn? Nah?The Intimidator?shit there is just so many options??
?Ok?next?? The woman said exasperated.
?Wait! What did you write down??
?The Indecisive??
?Fuck.? With that he walked over to the photo booths.
?Um?sir?? A very nervous looking man approached him. ?i?I am supposed to video you?um?doing anything? To help?um?see?if you might?um qualify??
The smile Yamu gave the man would send chills through even the most hardened of warriors. ?You want to see what I can do??
?Ummmmmmm?? The man was visibly scared of the answer. Yamu took a deep breath that rose his chest to his chin then at the last second turned away form the man and shot out a powerful Eraser Cannon from his wide open mouth that tore through a row of sign up tents an trees for the next mile and a half.
?Now get out of my way?I have an unruly woman to pick up??
?There?s your headshot?? Yamu finished with so much machismo you could see him sweating it. The odd couple went through the teletube together and came out in the waiting area. ?There?? Yamu said pointing to a training area in the Lobby area, ?Let?s get you trained up before we go into this thing??
?MORE training? Jeez?this fighting thing is like an obsession with you??
Yamu forced himself not to punch her.

"Damn you, Gero. Why the hell did you build a waste management system so inefficient as this? I can't believe I have to lower myself to..." Android 20 grumbled peevishly.
The sterile white-tiled flooring of the room was an annoyance to the android. The brilliant white glow of the flourescent lights above were an annoyance to the android. But most of all, it was the fact that he was standing amongst a bunch of regular humans, lined up in front of one of the shiny white porcelin... urinals.
Android 20 stood there grumpily, enraged by the fact that he had to partake in this lowly human ritual. His cybernetic eyes swiveled up towards the wooden board posted above him, where some newspaper clippings had been posted. As trickling relief came, the android's eyes rapidly scanned the newspaper with ease, absorbing the information in a matter of seconds. As his eyes slid across the typed lettering, he tripped up over two words: Dante's Abyss. Halting his scanning, he did a double take, reviewing what he had read. A grin spread across his face, the android, now quite relieved, sprinted out of the bathroom.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Name please."
"20."
"Excuse me?"
"20."
"Well, it's good to know that you're of legal age to enter DA, but I need to know your name, sweetie."
"That is my name!"
Twenty was reeling with frustration by this point. His robotic arm twitched nervously, as he desperately wished to vaporize the lot of them. However, he shockingly managed to show some self-restraint, and he kept his destructive temper in check.
"Oh... okay then..." the attendant at the DA sign-up booth muttered, writing down the android's name with skepticism. "Now step over that way, Mr. 20, where you'll have your picture taken and a video recorded of your fighting abilities."
The android made a low growling noise, and then walked over to where the woman was pointing, and entered the photography tent. A moments later, and following a rather nasty incident involving the flash of the camera, Android 20 emerged from the photography tent, his photograpsh being saved digitally. As he headed for his video recording session, the photographers began to chuckle amongst themselves quietly.
"He left his fly open."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After only twenty minutes, Twenty was fully registered, with photographic identification, and a recording of his fighting abilities. The android approached the teletube with confidence, a far different aire than he had entered the contest in the last time it ran. This time, he was aware of how a teletube worked. This time, he was not scared. This time, he knew he would win. With this in mind, he stepped into the teleportation tube, and a few seconds later, arrived at the lobby of the preparation area for Dante's Abyss.

Her finger pressed against the dial lazily. It clicked under the pressure, once, and then twice. All that was returned was a static sound and a blurry reception. It was amusing that her ship had a television. It was not the greatest, especially being deep within space. She had almost given up when finally it picked up something. Slightly startled she tilted her head; she could not quite make it out. The audio was scrambled and delayed. As far as she could tell, it was on Earth-Sei. Either it was some news shoot, or another reality show. She was actually growing interested.
With a flick of her wrist she switched the device off. Her feet carried her from the room she was in and back up to the control room. She settled into her chair and started to command the ship to change course. For a long time she had simply drifted in space, her craft now sliced through star clusters and space clouds. Where she was, it was beyond her. All she knew was that she wanted to watch some television, and the closer she got to Earth-Sei the better. It was also a fact that she was lonely, perhaps slowly going crazy. Who wouldn?t? Despite her loneliness, she had turned off her L.E.N.S. so that no one could contact her. It wasn?t like they were going to anyway.
Thoughts of those she knew had eventually gone away. Her days had been spent exploring space and trying to figure out the meaning of life. She had gotten no closer than when she had started, sadly. Regardless, she was not far, but far enough. Soon the globe that was Earth-Sei filled her view like a jewel in satin. She didn?t even feel butterflies, it was depressing.
The television picked up the signal almost instantly. She leaned in, although it was still somewhat delayed. The gist of it was, to say the least, surprising. When had the last Dante?s Abyss been? Had time really past her by for so long? Either that or this was some new game that a hot shot felt like throwing together, and of course using a popular tournament name to snare contestants. She had to admit, she was hooked.
Her ship was small enough to land, and now it was secured within a rented hanger. She paid good money, and the man promised nothing would happen. Well, she had threatened him, which was in her nature. After dealing with her beautiful ship she was off to the nearest large city. What was the name? They had said it, but she hardly paid attention to details. In hardly any time at all the android was settling down in the correct city, many people milled around, so she was sure this was the place. It was proven by the flash sign and the people signing papers.
She walked past burly men, dramatic women, and straight toward the sign up sheets. Of course she was joining; she wouldn?t be herself if she didn?t. Sure she did somewhat fear meeting certain people there, but she was good at avoiding problems. He couldn?t sense her, which was good enough. The lady that gave her the sheet helped her, though she hardly needed help. The android singed once, and then twice, and then once more to finalize the silly document. The girl was impressed, but also interested in the androids name. It wasn?t much of one. The android cut off the yappy voice of the woman, and proceeded past her. Yeah, yeah, she knew it all. She also wasn?t surprised that there would be only 44 contestants. The android didn?t care either way, as long as she tried.
The teletube took her to the meeting grounds. Many more fighters and workers walked back and forth in this large area. There were different places to visit, and she knew the most likely place certain people would visit. She made sure not to step foot in the restaurant, and headed right on toward a different area.
OOC: Crap I know, but I wanted to RP, didn?t want to wait til after work. I?ll likely try to RP again when I get home.

The synthetic humanoid rested his head on the wall he was leaning against, smiling vaguely. He sat on a rather comfortable bed, his burly arm resting around the small shoulders of the woman beside him, holding her close to him. Her head rested on his chest, eyes only half open as they both sat in the empty bedroom. The window on the wall to their left was flung open wide, a light breeze wafting the translucent drapes. Golden sunlight streamed into the room, tiny dust particles dancing through the diagonal pillar of daylight.
Aida shifted from under his arm, removing his leather jacket from her slender shoulders and placing it on the bed beside her, lying back against his chest again after removing the garment. "It's too hot in here." She murmered dreamily.
He chuckled. "It's not that bad. Though, you are wearing a jacket."
"Shut up." She replied playfully, punching his chest.
Michael laughed to himself, shifting his poisition slightly. "We should prolly get up sooner or later. Where've the others ran off to anyhow?" He said to himself, sitting up.
"Awww, just a little longer?" The groggy woman whined.
"You know I want to, babe. But we gotta get up. C'mon." The synthetic human lifted her from his bed, tossing her over his shoulder.
"Hey!" She yelled, giggling. "Put me down!"
"Well, if you're so tired, i'll carry ya'!" He boomed, stolling merrily down the hall.
She laughed at her jovial partner, giving in. "Where're we going, Michael?" She asked inquizatively.
"I dunno yet." He replied truthfully. He turned his attention to the ceiling, calling out to the rafters. "Hey, computer!"
His answer came startlingly quick. "Yes, Sixteen?" The british voice answered.
The android cringed at the name, shrugging it off. "Where's the rest of the alliance?"
"Most, if not all aren't on the planet at the moment." The computer replied, as though he was surprised that the android had asked.
"Aren't on the planet?" Sixteen repeated.
"Indeed." The voice answered.
None of 'em are here? I would at least expect someone to be here to watch the place... He thought to himself. What's going on...
"Uh, Michael?" The damsel over his shoulder tapped him on his mohawked cranium.
The android laughed, embarassed, lowering the girl to the floor. She entered a nearby room, looking around the bar curiously.
It didn't take long for Sixteen to decide his course of action. He followed the woman into the bar, grabbing her by the shoulder and spinning her around, planting a kiss on her lips. She she gasped, surprised, before looking up as him with a small smirk on her face. "What was that for?"
He hesitated before speaking. "I have to go investigate something..." He couldn't even finish his sentence before the redheaded woman began to attempt to dissuade him.
"But Michael, we only just got back from Nirvanna yesterday!" The ginger haired damsel whined. "It's been such a long time since we last saw eachother, I missed you so much and I wanted to spend some time with you!" She pouted, starring up at her towering boyfriend.
He gritted his teeth, finding it hard to resist the woman. "I'm sorry Aida, but my friends might be in trouble."
"But, who will I drink with?" She smiled mischeviously.
"You don't drink." Sixteen smirked.
She pouted, turning away. "Fine. Leave me here in the house alone. See if I care. Hmph!"
He turned her around again, pressing his lips to hers. The two parted after several seconds, the woman now smiling rather than pouting. "I promise i'll be back. I'm sorry for leaving you like this." She waved a hand, still smiling. He turned, and left the room. The woman sighed, taking a seat at a leather bar stool.

Several minutes of flight, and Sixteen still couldn't find any where they could have gone. Most of the allaince members had been on Vegeta-Sei , where could they have gone off to? Something ahead caught his attention, as if to answer his query.
The android began his descent, meeting the ground and beginning a brisk run toward the blue tiled hut. He reached the doorway, stopping a few feet in to gasp at his surroundings.
What looked like a small hut from the outside looked to be nearly the size of a department store upon observation from the inside. The ceiling reached a height of what looked like fifteen feet, the back wall of the building not even visible through the massive crowd of people pushing their way through. Being of abnormal height, Sixteen found it quite easy to see over the crown, though weaving his way through the ustling crowd would probably prove to be much harder. Sighing, he lifted off from the ground, hovering some six feet from the ground and floating over the heads of the angry civilians.
Touching down past the crown, Sixteen walked slowly toward the source of the commotion, the epicenter of the whole event. Everyone seemed to be surging toward the boothes in the center, many being turned away for various reasons. The humanoid could not imagine anything he'd like less to be doing at this moment tha waiting in line for something he had no idea what it was. Alas, it would seem he had no choice.

"Name?"
Sixteen broke his stare at the whirling ceiling fan and looked down to address the seated receptionist. Her face was bright red exhaustion, though she soldiered on, throwing questions at the hulking android as though he was the first one of the day.
"Name?" She repeated, smiling.
"What is this a sign up for?" He asked, looking around at the huge building.
"Dante's Abyss, hon." She replied, smiling. "It's a tournment of sorts. Many are signing up, though on 44 will compete."
He grunted in acknowledgement. This must be where they had went off to. He observed the smiling receptionist, wondering what she was waiting for now.
"Name?" She repeated after a moment, slightly annoyed.
He mentally debated signing up while the woman was left to sigh and wait for his response. Aida's gonna kill me...
"Sixteen." He grunted.
"What?" She inquired.
"Sixteen." He repeated. Though it was not his real name, he doubted whether anyone would care anyway.
"Alright, age?" She scribbled the name down.
"Twenty-six." He threw out a random age. He honestly had no idea how long he had been alive, for he knew not how long he had been held in the facility.
She nodded, noting the age. "Any other interesting things I should know about you?" She inquired.
He shook his head. Though it was more that to move things along than anything else. Maybe that fact that he was an android would be important. Oh well, too late now.
"Alright, Mr. Sixteen. Can you demonstrate something that'll prove to me you have what it takes?" The woman questioned.
The android brought his fingers to his right wrist, twisting and pulling half of the limb off, revealing his cannon. The woman gasped, watching as a small orb of Ki formed at the end of the barrel. "Is that good enough?"
Sixteen didn't need to hear the answer before he let the ki disapate, putting his limb back on, twisting it firmly back into place. Walking to the nearest tented booth, he entered and took a seat.
"State your name anything else you feel might persuade the audience." The man droned from behind the camera.
"Android Sixteen." He stated. "Vote for me or somethin', I guess." He said uncertainly. He flashed a cheesy grin, lobbing a small ball of Ki over the camera, snorting a laugh at the sound of the man screaming as the small explosive went off. "Later." He said, turning to get up. A light flashed, catching a profile shot of the synthetic human for the records. He exited the booth, walking toward the awaiting teleportation tube.

?Yes, I?m sure I want to enter!? squeaked Puar.
The sky blue feline was sitting on top of a desk, behind which sat a blonde haired woman in glasses. The woman pushed her glasses further up her nose, and grabbed a pen of the desk in front of her.
?Fine then?it?s your funeral,? replied the woman, with a small sigh. ?Name please??
?Puar. P-U-A-R,? stated the cat.
A hasty scribbling ensued, and Puar was officially signed up. Whipping out a camera, the woman took a quick snapshot of Puar?s face. Once finished, she stowed the camera away in her desk, and then stood.
?We?re going to need to see a sample of your fighting techniques,? the woman stated briskly.
Immediately, Puar brought his tiny feline arms to one side; cupping his paws together. Contestants waiting for their turn to sign-up watched from seats in the waiting room, apparently wondering what the Hell was going on. The sign-up woman appeared to be wondering the same thing. To answer their questioning looks, Puar allowed a small ball of blue ki to form in his cupped paws.
?Ka...me?ha?me...HA!? shouted the tiny cat, thrusting his hands into the air - towards the ceiling.
The ball of ki in Puar?s hands erupted into a large blue blast, which rocketed into the ceiling. Ki ebbing forth from his paws, Puar forced the blast to grow to a larger size; creating a large hole in the ceiling ? at taxpayer?s expense. Slowly, the blast died away. Bits of the ceiling surrounding the hole began to crumble, falling to the floor in small chunks.
?Will that do?? Puar asked impatiently.
With a small nod, the woman pointed Puar in the direction of a lone tele-tube; which stood solemnly against the white wall of the sign-up room. Snatching a brochure off the sign-up desk, which contained information on the Dante?s Abyss tournament; Puar hopped off the desk and trotted over to the tele-tube ? on his way into the fray, with any kind of luck.
OOC: Vague, but it's really about the pre-show - not the sign-up.

It was a brand new day on Kaiousamas small planet. But there was a complete absence of anything to indicate this fact. The sky was insistent on its pink colour and a complete silence lay over the light green surface. However, the inhabitants of the satellite were well used to the timing. This was especially true for Jackie who had practiclly learned to synchorise himself with the time on Earth and who followed a strict schedule. As usual, he woke up early in the morning from his humble bed. Preety soon he found himself meditating on the rock he always sat on in a turkish pose. As the old man was relaxing his mind, the god had also awoken from his slumber. Yawningly, he stepped out from his little home. He was by then quite used to finding Chun meditating on the only rock on the planet so he found him immediatly. The elderly human also noticed his coming. Within a second, Roshi slid down from the rock and onto his feet. He was already prepared for the task he would face that day. But he did not yet realise that that day would turn out diffrently. King Kai greeted his student:
"Good morning, Jackie. I trust you slept well?"
"As usual, King Kai. I have no trouble getting a good night`s sleep," replied the Turtle Hermit.
"Good. You will need all the strength you can get. In any case, I wanted to talk to you."
"What about?" wondered Kame-senin. He immediatly realised the blue alien had something important to say.
"Well, you have done an excellent job under my toutorship. You have advanced far and had learned the secrets of Kaioken. That is why I thought it would be a great idea to test your newly gained knowledge. There is going to be a tournament on a small planet in the middle of the Northern Quadrant. All the finest fighters of the universe are expected to come to it. It is called Dante`s Abyss."
"Dante`s Abyss?!" came the reply from the old man after such harsh suprise.
"You know of it?"
"Indeed. It is the reason why I am in the afterlife," the elderly human awnsered to Kaiousama, his own death picturing in his mind once again.
"I see. Yes, it is a quite brutal tournament. However, I have confidence in your skill and I belive you can reach far with the appropriate approach. That is why I think you should participate."
"There is just one problem....I am dead. How would I actually join the tournament?"
"That is not a problem. Even if you are dead you can still participate. All I have to do is teleport you to a sing-up booth. But I warn you....it is possible to die again even if dead. So what do you say...will you enter the tournament?"
The elderly human was interested at the prospect of being able to participate in Dante`s Abyss. He knew it would test his skills to the maximum. Secondary reasons, allthough not as important, was that it would make a nice change to King Kai`s training. After a long period of thinking came Jackie`s short reply: "Very well."
"Excellent! Now place your hand on my back and you will be well on your way."
The god turned around. With an odd taste in his mouth, Kame-senin placed his palm on the back of his toutor. For a living being, the Kai of the Northern Quadrant felt unusually cold. But before he could ponder further, his image dissapeared from the face of Kaiousama`s planet.
**********
In an instant he materialised once again. It took him only a moment to recognise his home planet....Earth. He was standing on a beautiful white-tiled square in the middle of a minor city. As it was usual for mornings the square was bustling with life. Trickling of water could be heared from the nearby fontain which was unusually large. Over it all shone the nearest star to the planet: the Sun. Chun smilled after seeing it. It was good to face it again after a long time.
After he had realised these factors, he also noticed a few more things. He was standing in front a wooden booth, the sign "Dante`s Abyss sign-ups" hanging from its small roof. Behind the wooden obstacle stood a young man with yellow skin and black framed glasses. He looked at the old man with a bit of shock on his face. It took him a few moments to concentrate again and speak out:
"He...Hello. Have you come to join Dante`s Abyss?"
"Yes, indeed I have," came the polite reply from the elderly human. But this didn`t seem to ease the student in front of him who seemed to be still in shock due to Chun`s sudden materialisation. The halo over Kame-senins head did not make this any better. The young adult tried to focus on his task again.
"N..Name?"
"Jackie Chun."
"Age?"
"Five hundred years."
"Excuse me?"
"Five hundred years," repeated the old man calmly. Allthough the college pupil did not seem convinced, he wrote down the specified number anyway.
"Hold still please," he told Jackie as he picked up a photographic camera from the table. With a blitz, he took a quick shot of Chun. From a thin slit at the lower part of the camera, a small picture came out. The young adult took it and placed it next to the sign-up sheet he had just filled. He countinued to speak:"Now, I am going to request you to show me some of your fighting skills. All of it will be taperecorded. This is required if you wish to sign on. You have twenty seconds."
As the student went to pick up a nearby camera, Jackie pondered on what to do. Flashes and damage were not his style, but he needed something to impress the judges who would be looking at the recording. Then he noticed the fountain placed behind him. Chun smilled. Ever since he was a youngster he was known for his water tricks. He was fond of using them as a method of training. This gave him an excellent idea.
The young man prepared the camera. After setting it up, he finnaly instructed the elderly human to begin. Jackie did not hesitate. He leaped into the air and made a backwars somersault. As he was in mid-air, his body bursted with a milky white aura. As he began to discent towards the fontain, the water moved away from the energy and Jackies feet landed on the stone bottom of the fountain. Chun then began with his usual moves.
It was a most impressive sight. The liquid gently moved away from Roshis moves and it seemed the elderly fighter was one with the water. His movement dictated the movement of the liquid as if he was a composer who dictated the ways of the music. Seconds seemed to pass like minutes at the beautiful movement of the martial artists. Passers by gazed at the sight and sounds of delight came from them. In the end, Jackie jumped on the peaky top of the fountain and then leaped towards his intial point. He softly landed, not even a trace of water on him. As the audience clapped, the student pulled out a cassette from the camera. He faced Kame-senin once again:
"Great. Now step into the tele-tube behind the booth and you should be on Dante in a moment."
The elderly human nodded and stepped towards the metal object that stood in the middle of the square. This was it. He was going yet again face the elitest warriors in all of the universe. He stepped inside, closed his eyes and let the green beams cover his body. His image yet again vanished into nothingness. He was on his way to Dante.....the planet of fate.

"I have arrived; you may all bow before my greatness!"
Those were the words that Reijin first heard upon his arrival on the planet Dante long before. The hot headed lavendar haired youth known as Trunks had spoken them, announcing his arrogance with the loudest words.
Reijin knew firsthand that those that yelped the loudest were often the weaker fighter. Trunks was declared one of the first to die. He had been found as a victim of collar detonation, having simply not bothered to enter his bunker while engorging himself upon a meal.
He doubted Trunks or any others would be so apathetic this time. Reijin had learned a great deal from watching such a formidable warrior fall to something as encompassing as one's own laziness.
He had gone on to survive in the event known as Friend or Foe 2, doing everything that it took for him to live. To kill Satan himself, a feat no other being, mortal or immortal, had ever accomplished. He had met Akira and Katel Dezmon and trained with them, sharing a few of his deeper concerns with the former of the two.
Soon after the event, he had lost Videl, a remnant of his own soul in human form. He felt a burning black fire now within the void that remained where her memory had been forcefully rended from him.
Now he was once more upon the planet of Vejita, in the Northern Quadrant at the signup booth for Dante's Abyss. He had survived the previous event. He had won Friend or Foe 2. He had proven himself more than any other. He had lost more than any fighter here had. He knew the penalty of arrogance well from Trunks's example.
He would do whatever it took.
Striding to the booth, he was directed to the location to signup. It was there that he was brought face to face with his first and greatest challenge. The same challenge that he had faced at previous tournaments. The same challenge that had left a pencil embedded within the palm of a screaming attendent.
Writing his name.
Pure red Saiyan blood filled his face as his humiliation once again had found him. "WHY THE BLOODY HELL DO YOU PEOPLE NOT EVOLVE???" he demanded loudly. Several figures nearby turned to him to see what his problem was, and he quickly pulled his cloak around him anger. "This is rediculous!" he growled under his breath. Of all the technological advances for taking one's identity into account, these bastards always seemed to mock him with the monkey's art of writing one's name with a pencil.
A long silence ended with yet another screaming and previously sarcastic attendant with another writing utencil embedded within their hand. Reijin stormed off in cold fury, quickly running over his mental training for peace.
"I'm gonna fuck that unicorrrrrn"

Her mind still awash with a myriad of questions blanketed by fear and lack of understanding, Bra flew. She flew because speed forced her to focus on what was in front of her, she flew because it was the only logical thing to do. She had no choice anymore; her path was set by unfortunate events that - depending on how one interpreted it - didn?t actually take place.
The princess rocketed forth, her precision ki sense pinpointing the largest amalgamation of power levels on the planet. Knowing that there wouldn?t be any other reason for so many warriors to group together as there was no hint of conflict, Bra was certain that the Dante?s Abyss sign-ups were in that direction.
The halfling veered off toward the signatures, effortlessly piercing through the sound barrier as she streaked across the sky, leaving both a streak of discharged ki and a visible sound wave rippling behind her. The girl was in a hurry, and once the sound wave struck the city below - obliterating hundreds of windows in it?s wake - everybody knew it.
In moments, the cyan haired girl slammed forcefully into the ground at the front of the line, just before the overly-muscled man behind her was about to step forward. Instead of the brutish comment Bra had been expecting, the warrior simply gawked at her. Suddenly, feeling exposed, the girl shot him a deadly glare.
?The fuck are you looking at?!? she demanded, causing the towering man to turn away in embarrassment. With a growl, Bra whirled around to address the attendant seated behind a cheap, fold-out table. ?I?m signing up.? she declared.
?Alright, miss. We need a name, please.? he replied, his fingers already flying over the keyboard in front of him.
?Bra,? the silken haired girl responded. ?Bra Briefs.?
?Okay... age??
?Twelve.?
?Twelve?? the attendant looked up, a painfully perplexed look cemented on his wrinkled visage. Instantly, the girl realized the mistake she had made.
?Did I say ?twelve??? the teal haired teen questioned with a fake, nervous laugh. ?I meant ?seventeen?. I?m sorry.? she said, staring at the floor in front of her.
?Uh... right. Anyway, you?re all clear here. Basic rundown this year; Dante?s Abyss is located on a single island, uh, were you here for the last one??
?Yeah.?
?Okay, great. So, collar rules still apply, with some new regulations, you?ll know them once you get to the island. Out of everyone signing up, only forty four are going to be registered into the tournament. If you?re not selected, you?ll be evicted from the planet immediately. From here, you need to head to Studio One. They?ll take some pictures, ask you to show off some skills, that sort of thing. I kind of need you to hurry up, though; we?ve got a ton of fighters to process still.? the attendant motioned to the studio building set up behind him.
The girl offered a slight nod and hesitantly made her way to the building, pushing through the door, which firmly shut behind her, leaving her alone with two more attendants and dozens of camera equipment.
?So... uh...? Bra clasped her hands behind her, blushing like an over-excited schoolgirl. ?What... happens here??
?Well,? replied one of the attendants. ?Just strike a pose, we?ll take some pics, and then we can deal with your fighting demo, ?kay??
The princess nodded, following the photographer?s directions, taking a few dignified poses for several flashes of the camera. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, she was finished, and the camerawoman set the object aside.
The sound of a muffled explosion rang out, throwing all three of the building?s occupants to the floor as four men clad in black suits and dark sunglasses emerged from a swirling portal which had formed in the wall. Immediately after they had stepped through, the portal disappeared, as though it had never existed in the first place.
?You. Miss Briefs. You?re wanted for temporal manipulation in the first degree. You must be terminated.? spoke one of the four suited men.
?W-what?! What the hell are you talking about?!? Bra demanded, leaping to her feet and into a combat stance within seconds. One of the attendants quickly turned a video camera onto the scene, hoping to catch a moment of excitement for the bloodthirsty fans the tournament catered to.
?You willingly agreed to cause significant damage to the time stream through means of illegal magery. The only possible way to rectify the temporal decay you?ve caused is to terminate you. We suggest you cooperate, lest you make things... difficult.?
?What?! The fuck do you think you are? The time police?!? the long, cyan haired girl retorted, her blue-white aura detonating all around her.
?No. We?re from the Coalition for Temporal Stability. Don?t act like you haven?t met us before.?
?Right. I think you?re just fucking crazy.?
?That?s good,? responded the only talkative suit. ?It?s difficult enough to keep things under control without everyone being aware of our operations. But enough talk; it?s obvious you?re planning to resist.?
With that, the lead agent withdrew a gleaming Desert Eagle .44 pistol and opened fire at Bra, who evaded the speeding bullets with the greatest of ease. After emptying his entire clip and missing every shot despite his perfect aim, the CTS agent let his weapon fall to the ground, a hateful sneer cracking across his face.
The quartet of well-dressed men propelled themselves through the air, all at once converging upon the princess, who was swift to defend herself. While still airborne, the lead agent received a vicious punch to the face. Whirling around, Bra landed a thunderous roundhouse kick to the side of another?s head, before twisting about and hammering a trio of punches to the chest of the third agent.
The fourth suit lunged forward, striking from behind Bra and wrapping his arms around her torso, applying crushing force, only to have the girl slam her heel onto his foot in order to break free of his grip and hammer an elbow into his nose, crushing it and causing blood to spurt from his face all over his shirt.
One of the combatants threw a powerful fist at the cyan haired hybrid, who caught his wrist, twisted it, and drove two fists of her own into his exposed gut, before leaping up and throwing her foot into his chest, launching him across the room and into the far wall, which shuddered under the thunderous impact.
Left unchecked, one of the remaining three agents landed a punch to Bra?s temple, causing her to stagger and leaving her wide open to a flurry of attacks from the three intruders, who brutally attacked her ceaselessly until a bright, golden rush of flame beat them back.
The young super saiyan sent one of her opponents sprawling with an unexpected head butt before twisting around and driving her heel into another agent?s face, torquing his head with such force that his neck snapped beneath the attack and tossing him aside like a rag doll.
Now able to focus on the one remaining agent, Bra delivered a punch to side, then one to the chest, and another to the gut, accelerating her strikes until nothing could be seen but a gold-and-red blur as the girl threw punch after punch into the shuddering fighter, finishing her attack with a ruthless strike to the face, obliterating his sunglasses and hurling him through a table and into the far wall, this time causing it to collapse on top of the agent.
?Enough of this!? shouted one of the three remaining men, forming an aura of his own. The other two did the same, rapidly increasing their strength before all attacking at once for a second time.
Unwilling to allow the fight to continue, Bra quickly threw another vicious kick forward, stunning one of her opponents long enough for her to create a kienzan dagger. She whirled around, slashing deep into another combatant all the way from his left shoulder down to his right thigh. He crumpled; a bloody mess.
The empress swung her blade once more, catching nothing but air. Instead of correcting, Bra threw the dagger, cleanly decapitating her third victim, and leaving but one suit-clad man standing face-to-face with herself.
?You guys are pathetic.? she taunted darkly, taking a single step forward, her aureate flames raging about her, reflecting the anger churning within her.
?You?ll burn for this! The murder of three international agents will not be taken lightly, Miss Briefs!!? the CTS agent retorted, nervously back-pedaling, afraid to take his eyes off the deceptively powerful teen who stood before him.
?Three? Fuck that, I?m not letting you off,? Bra hissed, taking another step. The nameless agent turned and ran, directly into a portal which appeared, then promptly vanished once he had stepped through it. ?Get back here!!? the girl screamed. ?Coward!!?
Silence fell over the studio. Nothing made a sound, save for the soft aural sensation of dust falling heavily onto the floor. The DA attendants took stock of their situation while Bra let herself fall out of her ascended state, plunging the building into darkness, save for the light shining in through the collapsed wall.
?Great! Just great! Now we?ll have to set up in Studio Two!!? seethed one attendant, as though he was completely unaware of the fight that had just taken place.
?Shut up!? responded the other. ?We got that on tape!! This?ll be great!?
?Uh...? the hybrid interjected. ?...Does that mean you guys think my skills are good enough??
?Oh! You mean, you want to submit that as your demonstration? Yes, that would do wonderfully. Just, come over here, to the teletube.? answered the photographer, ushering Bra to the advanced piece of machinery which had - unbelievably - been left unscathed after the violent bloodshed which had just passed.
The princess stepped into the machine, closing her eyes as the door hissed shut in front of her. The two attendants offered friendly waves and wishes of good luck, and then everything vanished.
In moments, a new environment surrounded her, and the teletube opened, releasing Bra into the havoc that Dante?s Abyss would soon degrade into. She didn?t want to be here; she loathed these tournaments, but her disc was here, and she had to find it.
Already, her memories had failed her; she had no idea what this ?Coalition for Temporal Stability? was, and it seemed they knew her well. She frowned; things were only bound to get worse.
"I wasted time and now time doth waste me."
"I just made you up to hurt myself, and it worked."

?Dante?s Abyss.? The words filled Vegeta with a sense of anxiety. Every year, this event would take place and has been known to be one of the most intense tournaments known to the universe. However popular it may be, Vegeta has only participated in one of them?the very first Dante?s Abyss. The very thoughts and memories of the first Tournament began to race through his brain. His son, being killed; his friends dieing right before him. Even his enemies were taken away from his clutches. This tournament wasn?t for the weak, whether be strength or mentally. A fight for existence; something which both frightened and excited the Saiya-jin prince.
It was the same Tournament many years ago that Vegeta had found the sleeping powers of the Super Saiya-jin within. But at what cost did he earn the privilege, in exchange for Trunk?s life? Should he participate in this Tournament, whos life would be lost this time? Reijin?s? Vegeta didn?t care to have his friend?s blood on his hands, no?not at all.
?Excuse me?? A clerk behind the desk broke Vegeta?s closed thoughts. Apparently without knowing it, the Saiya-jin?s feet had taken control, leading him straight into the sign up desk. ?Are you going to just stand there, or sign up?? The clerk held up a pen towards Vegeta, apparently the pencil had been removed. The father of two took a moment to think about it. No doubt it was a sign, his legs leading him there for a reason. Perhaps fate was trying to pull the Saiya-jin prince back into the life he was always meant to live. A life full of anger, hate, and violence. Every time Vegeta would begin to live low, perhaps aim towards a peaceful life, something would interfere and bring him back to this heated life style.
?They just couldn?t leave me alone, could they?? Vegeta mumbled out of his lips, remembering how just a few hours ago he was attacked by two fighters for his dragon ball.
?I?m sorry?? The clerk?s left brow rose with curiousness. Vegeta shook his head and slowly reached down for the pen, grabbing it with his index finger and thumb.
?I guess a peaceful life isn?t what fate has for me. I was destined to die fighting..heh? A slight smirk appeared on his face as he began writing his name down on the sign up sheet. ?I?m getting too old for this.? He dropped the pen on the table after finishing and turned to look throughout the crowd for any one he knows, as he always did after signing up for a tournament. His steps took him a few feet forward before he found himself stopping. ?Irony? damn you. When will you show me mercy?? There was no doubt he was going to be there, but was he really ready to deal with this again? ?I?m tired of this?? Vegeta shook his head and began walking towards the info center to learn more about how Dante?s Abyss had changed since the very first.
?Only death will bring me peace??

It was a beautiful day in the big city, the sun was shining and everyone was smiling. Well, everyone except for Blue, who was the perfect picture of stoic patience. Anyone who knew him would find this unusual, as he had a very short fuse. This was true, and inside Conroy boiled a sea of rage, hotter than the sun itself. Luckily, he held these feelings in check, deciding that a public display of rage would be inappropriate at that time.
The line he stood in stretched for blocks and hadn?t moved at all in his three hours of waiting. Every so often, Conroy would peer around the large man in front of him and gauge the length. This would only further feed his anger, so that very soon the psychopathic fighter stopped doing so altogether.
It had begun early that morning, as Blue made his rounds through the city, looking for prospective victims. Instead, he?d happened upon the line and, upon investigation, learned that a tournament was to be held in the near future. It was one of the final days of sign-ups as well, and a tournament this big was sure to have some strong fighters. To say the least, the color-themed warrior was excited, that is until he was actually in line.
Taking another peek around the behemoth in front of him, Blue?s face lightened a tad when he saw motion in the line. And quickly faded when he noticed it was moving backward. It was the final straw; the flame-haired man would take no more.
?You?ve got to be fucking kidding me!? he shouted, stepping from his place in line. ?What the hells going on here?? The blatant use of language and volume of his voice exposed Blue?s internal condition, but he didn?t care. That was when he saw why he hadn?t gotten any closer to the head of the line, as a man simply stepped into the middle instead of going to the end.
Face contorting into a mask of rage, Blue burst out, ?That?s it! I ain?t waiting no more!? and stormed to the sign-up desk. A pale-complexioned man gave him a glance, then went back to filling out paperwork while saying, ?Sir, you?re going to need to wait for your turn.? Conroy simply shot the man a glare that almost caused a bowel movement, then spoke in a no nonsense voice. ?Fuck that. You?re signing me up now.?
Clearing his throat and regaining his composure, the desk-jockey looked towards the line and the mass of people who were glaring holes into the back of Blue?s neck. ?Well, I?ll need your name, a little information on what you can do, and a demonstration of your fighting skills. I?m sure that man will be happy to help you with the latter,? the slim worker said calmly while gesturing to his antagonist?s right and affixing a scouter to himself.
Without further ado, Blue turned to face the same large brute that was standing in front of him in line. He could have been a clone of Bacterian, minus the stench, but that didn?t worry the flame-haired fighter. Lost in his anger, Conroy only felt the desire to erase this person from existence. So when the goliath swung at him with a powerful left hook, the ex-military killer wasted no time in countering with an energy blast to the face.
As the Bacterian wanna-be staggered backward, Blue reached out, took hold of his arm, and threw him like a wrecking ball into the rest of the line, which fell like dominoes. It?d be funny, if he wasn?t so pissed-off. The attendant was speechless, until a glare sent him scribbling away at the forms before him.
?Ok, everything is in order. Step into the tube behind me and it?ll take you to Dante. Oh, and have fun.? A faint smirk graced the secretary?s lips as Blue followed his directions, making the fighter wonder just what was in store for him.

It was a great day to be finally back on Earth. Namek was a nice place, but Piccolo Daimoun just wasn't used to there being little to no commotion.
"Heh, despite the crap I just had to deal with..." He muttered to himself.
Landing back at Capsule Corporation, he was surprised to see a vacant landing bay. Shifting an eyebrow upwards and pursing his lips, the jade Namekian kicked open the ship and jumped outside. The area was empty, but he could hear the sounds of commotion coming from outside.
Stepping towards the door, he could feel something strange on his body, and he took in a muffled voice on the other side of the gate. Pushing it open, the voice was let in in mid sentence, "...Show us your skills for Dante's Abyss!"
Cocking an eyebrow, the elder Namekian was very intrigued by this. Walking up to a woman that looked like she had some sort of authority here he inquired, "What is Dante's Abyss?"
"A tournament...More for the joiners, are you interested?" She answered testily. It seemed that she was irked for whatever reason.
"Uhh...Sure," He answered slowly, looking down at the attendant as he awaited her instruction.
A giant of a man stepped forward, clad in nothing but a leather tunic. "Impress me; I'm going to be videotaping what you do to this man."
"Heh," He snickered, looking at the human which he had designated as weak, "Sure thing."
"Rah!" He screamed, throwing his arms across his chest and down to his side, unleashing his soul claw technique. He wasn't going to hurt the man, but he wanted to do what he could to wow the woman...
"Say goodnight!" He yelled darkly, drawing his arm back to prepare a strike. The man only had time to widen his eyebrows in surprise. The jade Namekian let loose his arm, but stopped the flow of Ki into the claws a short moment before they would connect. The result was the look that he had stabbed the human.
The man was helping with a very high pitched scream. Smiling now, the elder Namekians eyes flashed red as he said, "Why don't you just..."
"Go relax..." The man finished cryptically. As the emerald Educator stood in place, the muscular and large human walked off into the distance, seemingly unsure of what he was doing.
The Woman was intrigued yet angered, "What did you do!?"
"I possessed him...Don't worry, he'll be fine. Anything else I can add?"
"If you've got more..."
I sure do, He spoke telepathically. Directly after, he quite fearlessly looked at his left arm and placed a tight grip on it. Bellowing as he felt his skin start to rip away, he pulled it off with a disgusting sound. Blood flowed from it, but the concentration of mystical energy that Piccolo Daimoun let out towards it made it clot.
The Ki also, seemingly magically, made it regenerate back into a working arm, looking the same as it did before. The woman was seemingly in awe, but obviously not enough to phase her for long.
"Alright, you're cleared. Welcome to Dante's Abyss...Right into that tube," She pointed generally behind her, brandishing towards some kind of pod behind her.
"Thanks," He answered, stepping into the pod.
"Heh, see ya."
(Ooc: Didn't know I could fluid time before I rushed a Namek post.)

MK sat in the Arlia marketplace. He had very little to do and was getting rather bored. His previous assignment had paid well, and had given him a bit of entertainment, but all of his enemies were far too weak, and it ended a bit abruptly. Suddenly a large horn sounded as an alien race shouted to the crowd.
"Dante's Abyss, the ultimate fighting challenge, make your way to the booth to sign up and see if you have what it takes to be a contestant!" The character said it in a very sing-song manner.
It had been a long time since the last DA, but he hadn't thought it had really been a year. He must have been wrong though. He got up and brushed off the sand from his legs and made his way towards the counter the man had shouted from.
"I guess I'll sign up again." The changeling said, in a very monotone fashion.
"Again... OH! You're Metal Koola!" The alien seemed shocked to see him and quickly snatched the pen and clipboard from whatever lesser contestant had been writing too slowly. "Here you go sir!" He smiled and handed the objects over the the prince so that he may join the competition.

"Sir?"
Krillin picked up the pole thingy he had knocked over. Apparently, these things were meant to keep people in line, but considering that there wasn't exactly a mad rush of warriors to get into an unknown Tournament (especially one titled with the infamous and secretive name "Dante"), Krillin saw little point in having the blasted things out. All they managed to do was gum up walkway, and jump out in front of unsuspecting people.
"Sir?"
Finally, he managed to get the pole up, and settled around where it had been before. He noticed that, through the course of things, he had somehow created a perfect square with no entrance or exit, and considered it more or less correct. With that done, he rubbed the back of his head, and looked around for something to do. His eyes alighted on a nearby brochure stand, and in a heartbeat, he was at it.
"Um...sir?"
Krillin grinned as he read through a multitude of travel coupons that had already expired, and tourist attractions that no one in their right mind would sit through. Luckily, that only excluded about five percent of the population, clinching the popularity of theme parks all around the world. Krillin fell into that 95% bracket, and gazed with wonder at the brand-new roller coaster.
"Hey, you goddamn bitch!"
Krillin looked around for the voice, then saw a very angry attendant, leaning on the counter, pounding her otherwise dainty fists against the desk.
"Hi."
"If you want to sign up for the goddamn Tournament, get your ass in the goddamn line!"
Krillin looked back at the thick stack of brochures in his hand. He knew what he must do. Taking them, one by one, he neatly placed them all back in their proper place.
In the meantime, the clerk actually suffered a nervous breakdown, and was quickly replaced by another clerk, this one more a little more friendly.
"Hi there. You finished, snookums?"
Krillin looked up at the old lady and grinned. "Yup. I sign up here?"
"Yes, deary. Right this way."
