OOC: Sorry I didn't give yea the chance, Twemty.

The android felt a rush of air brush against him, a sign that somebody sat next to him. The breeze ruffled his shirt, but otherwise it wasn?t very noticeable. When the person said, ?Jim beam,? a wire in the hell fighter?s body doubled its electrical output as he recognized the voice of a saiyan. Seventeen?s face was at first confused by the this cognition, but it made sense?he was, afterall, beaten up with Trunks by the arlians before he was sent to Dante?s Abyss, so it made sense that he would be thrown into the deathmatch, as well.

The humanoid was both joyful that somebody he had been through so much with could endure the competition with him, but it also saddened him that a friend had to get messed up in this out of their own free will. ?Ugh, make it a double,? said the prince while his face showed discomfort.

?Hey,? began the android calmly, with his eyelids tilted down, ?you?re here, too.? The father took another sip from his vodka, and then set it onto the black tabletop. He turned to face Twenty again. ?This is my pal Trunks,? he said with a smile. Turning back towards the saiya-jin he introduced the oldest of the three, ?This is my new acquaintance, Twenty.?

?Nice to meet you,? the other two said in-sync, except the robotic one had narrowed his eyes and began looking the fighter over, uncovering multiple injuries.

?Sorry to interrupt, sir,? broke in one of the Syntex workers, who looked to meek to fight a child, but you?ve been summoned to the VIP area.?

Trunks saw that the man was speaking to him, so in raising an eyebrow he stood up, and left the others with, ?See you in the contest, I guess.? Then the saiyan exited their view with a turn in the corner.

?I think I shall be leaving, too,? said Twenty, pushing his mostly full glass of Smirnoff out of the way,? then stood up before leaving the hell fighter to his own devices.

?Well,? he said, sipping onto some of the last contents of his beverage, ?I guess I better go to.? He stood up, and splashed the rest of the vodka to the back of his throat before smashing it onto the table, chipping a part of the glass off. He walked towards the nearest exit, as one would do in panic on an airplane, and he found himself facing a way towards the ?outside.? He began walking towards the brighter area, and he eventually found himself in an outside area which was light by what would appear to be a star, but which was alien-made.

He began to walk around, trying to find somebody that he could recognize. Eventually he found a teenager, one whom he first met in Friend or Foe II.

?Hello.?

ooc: The first part is a monologue from Koola?s mind. The rest is the story.

That Silver is something else. I figured something was wrong when he was talking to himself, but then he gives me this crazy scythe, complete with unwanted tattoos and a annoying girl that won?t shut up! Damn you...Now the bloody weapon has absorbed inside me, and I?m not sure how to pull it out. And for some reason, I can?t escape my own mind anymore. She has something to do with this.

?Of all parts of my mind, why did I end up here?? The changeling looked around the inner workings of his mind, and this part was his dark side. After meeting master Hu, most of this part had been erased. But a tiny bit remained, and he didn?t like it. This dark side was littered with a dark fog and contained many tiny dog-like things that cooped up in the dark.( I call them Howlers) Koola didn?t care much for the surroundings, instead, he focused on Koorsala, the sprit of the scythe.

?This place is more like it! I?ll take it!? The female fighter was carefully taking a good overview of the dark realm of the mind, grinning constantly. ?Very nice, very nice indeed.?

The blue fighter was infuriated that she was acting like his mind was up for sale. ?Who the hell do you think you are? There?s no way I?m letting you go around my mind and acting like you own the place! No way in hell!!!?

Koorsala turned around. She was a very attractive woman, with silky brown hair, and sparkling blue eyes. She wore a dark-blue kimono with illustrations of waves and water. Hooked onto the dark blue sash around her waist, there hung a large, black jug. And hanging around her neck was a small necklace, with a wave carved into the circle that was attached. Any normal man would fall in love at first sight, but Koola was a alien.

?Tough! This is my home now, and there?s nothing you can do about it!?

The changeling lost it, and threw himself at the girl. But the spirt of the scythe was a step ahead of him, as she uncorked the jug to release a small whip of water, stinging Koola?s face. The blue warrior rubbed his bloodily nose and winced in pain. The woman began to laugh.

?Oh did I forget to mention? I?m a water user, I can manipulate water to my disposal.? Koola decided to attack from a distance instead, firing a Ki bomb directly at the female fighter. But she merrily put up a wall of water to cancel out the attack. Then she formed a small ball of water, and flung it at the changeling. But before it hit, it turned into ice. The ball hit his stomach and shattered. But it turned back into water and covered Koola?s whole body, then froze back to ice. He was trapped inside a rock of solid ice, and he couldn?t move. ?Another thing, I?m 300 years old, I have faced more powerful opponents than you. So if you think that you can win, you best give up right now. In the past 300 years, I never lost a battle.?

ooc: Koola is still in his mind fighting Koorsala, and he wouldn?t be back out til next post

Well, so much for that idea? The human thought dryly to herself. Of course, she was blitzed out of her mind, and even though the whole flashing idea was ingenious, she had to think for a minute if the hulking pink guy would actually know what breasts were. How much contact would he have had in the past with females, anyway? As far as she knew, none, and thus the theory of distracting by flashing were shot out of the atmosphere.

The poor guy was sporting a half assed glazed over look, a lazy smile twisting his thin lips. She could smell the alcohol wafting from his breath as he panted heavily a few inches from her face. Her and Kid had to support him all the way to the park, where the attendants were too busy with their own affairs to pay any attention to the inconspicuous group stumbling in.

They set their inebriated clansman under a tree not too far away; it was getting too tiresome to keep supporting him for much longer. Violet and Kid Buu sat down around him, creating some kind of sloppy circle.

Suddenly, the majin tipped his head to the side, holding his temple. The look he held was pained, and Violet couldn?t help but smirk.

?That?s what you get for trying to act like a fool. Now you have to live with it. Next time, recognize you will never outdrink me.? She said spitefully. Vi wasn?t feeling all too hot herself, the spasming in her stomach was making her rethink the wisdom of drinking almost three bottles of E&J, and that was just by herself. Kami knows how much they actually did drink, but she had a feeling it was going to make itself known like a hooker in the middle of Amish country.

?Shut up, douchebag.? He spat, rubbing his temples. Yeah, he was feeling it. She couldn?t help but smile.

Leaning back in the soft grass, propping herself up with her arms, Violet looked up into the night sky. It looked so real, with the twinkling stars and the moon covered by generated clouds. She thought she overheard someone say it was artificial, but even if she were sober, it still looked real enough to her. The first pangs of homesickness swept through her, and she couldn?t help but feel sad. She missed her home, she missed her dog, hell, she even missed that asshole across the street who, if she didn?t get to it first, always took her parking spot.

The rainy days when the sky let loose its torrents and pinged off her shingled roof while she sat in the bay window was something that she wouldn?t forget, snuggled in the small space big enough for only one with her teddy bear had to be the last time she felt safe. She didn?t have to depend on anyone except for herself, and as long as she made it to and from her waitressing job every day, she was fine. That was no longer the case anymore.

Late at night, when she finally powered down for sleep, she wondered how exactly it came to be that she got in this predicament. How could this curse that left her homeless turn into a blessing in disguise? Being reunited with her clan mates had assured her somehow that everything would be alright, that her predicament with the android was nothing but a horrible nightmare, and they would swoop in and snatch her away from the drama that was Android Thirteen. With Super and Kid back in the picture, everything seemed like it was going to be alright.

Heaving a sigh, she finally laid back in the grass, the cool blades crushing under her bare back, cushioning her soft skin. She hadn?t bothered with putting her shirt back on, it was too damn hot for that. She was covered enough though, and with as drunk as she was, she really didn?t give a fuck what anyone thought.

?So, if everyone is sober enough to answer, how have you guys been since I left?? Her soft voice smashed away any thoughts of intoxication, and she was glad that she was clear headed enough to talk straight. It was good to be back among friends, even if they weren?t human.

Silver leaped from tree to tree not caring if his new friends followed. He needed to be alone. Something was changing inside of the orange haired man and he did not know what. Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted as a dart hit the tree just below his feet. Silver shot his eyes in the direction in which the dart had come from. A man stood far away from the tree and he held something in his hands.

Silver saw another projectile sail his way, but this one was on target. In order to get out of the way, the trench coat wearing man jumped to the next branch and then swung higher as two more darts replaced his shoes. Again, Silver leaped into another tree sliding in and out of branches narrowly being missed by the sharp projectiles. Again Silver chanced a look at the man who was throwing the darts and saw that he was closer.

What are you planning? Jyuken said, concern evident in his voice.

Silver paid no attention as he placed his feet flat against the tree he was in and then launched himself backwards. As he flew, darts sailed behind him as the man desperately tried to hit his target. The orange haired human went right over his assailant, landing right behind him. Quickly, the strange man whipped around, only to have a Bo-Staff at his throat.

"Who the fuck are you?" Silver said menacingly. His face was not turned towards the man for he did not want to see a face.

Inside Silver's mind, Jyuken was going crazy. Apparently, the bodiless soul had just realized the change in his carrier. He had no idea when it had happened, but it seemed a bit of Tarnoc, the sword that spawned Silver, was inside of the human, changing him.

That?s why he hates the organization so much, Jyuken thought to himself, making sure Silver did not hear.

Outside, then man who had attacked Silver lay on the ground, unconscious. Not paying any attention the people who stared at him, the orange haired human ran off and jumped up into a tree. Climbing to the top, he stopped and sat in the branches. Silver looked around and saw Koola doing something. Then his eyes caught Bujin going in the completely wrong direction.

Stupid, he thought.

That?s your teammate your talkin about buddy, Jyuken piped up.

Shut the fuck up! Silver spat at the ninja

Outside his silver eyes started to glow as rage started to build.

I don't care about any fucking thing you say, you understand?! Silver mind screamed.

Suddenly, his eyes clouded over and he blacked out. Jyuken gave a sigh of relief and went deep into his carriers mind to find the bit of Tarnoc that was present.

OOC: The changes in Silver are now evident. Though they won't show up in this large a caliber for a while now. Next person who RP's him, he is going to be the way I have been RPing him in the past

Seventeen let out a yawn of epic proportions as he sat down on a bench near the entrance to the large, indoor park. He had only been walking around for under an hour and he was already bored out of his mind when it came to Dante's Abyss. Despite the lack of any real action, he knew he had to keep his head held high during the preliminary phase of the contest. Because if Seventeen had learned anything from his stint in Friend or Foe, it was that the audience and crowd reaction was all that really mattered to the wackos that produced these "games." People like Brim and whoever was running this contest cared only about appeasing the people that were watching, and in turn, satisfying their own, insatiable appetite for violence and manslaughter.

Nevertheless, the machine-hybrid had to admit he crazed all the fun and excitement that he got out of fighting and getting pummeled for the amusement of others. Even though Friend or Foe had left several scars that would endure for years to come, the android couldn't lie to himself and say that the experience wasn't worth the pain. He had emerged from that forsaken asteroid as a more mature person, and if he hadn't grown so much while traversing the barren, tormenting wastelands of Kala, then he wouldn't have stood a chance against Vapor or the Red Stallions. Seventeen hoped that Dante's Abyss would be an equally enlightening experience as well. Standing up, the cybernetic warrior started towards the parks entrance but was caught off guard when someone standing behind him spoke up.

"You would fare best if you didn't allow such vain thoughts to trigger you to charge headfirst into your demise," the voice triggered the android to smile warmly as he deduced its origins in his mind.

"Leo," the machine-hybrid declared, turning around promptly. It was indeed Leo--one of Seventeen's whitelighter friends and an ally who had been MIA for quite some time. "It's a genuine pleasure to see you again, my friend. What have you been up to? I haven't seen you since Byrk's failed attempt at escaping the depths of hell," the whitelighter smirked as he ran and hand through his short head of hair.

"After Byrk was defeated and you finally vanquished Vapor, the Elders restored my wings and permitted me to serve as one of their personal liaisons. Needless to say, I'm nearly and Elder my friend, and I pretty much have you to thank for all my good fortune," the android smiled as he reached out and shook the hand of his celestial ally. "Still, I have come hear to warn you that you shouldn't be so naive going into this contest. Compared to Dante's Abyss, Friend or Foe is the kiddy hill. You can't allow your past 'victories' to cloud your better judgment. Despite all the good you have accomplished, you are not invulnerable...not immortal. You need to always watch your back and never stop suspecting the unbelievable, because it can and probably will come to be," by the time he finished his little speech, the rather young-looking whitelighter seemed tired and haggard.

"I understand," Seventeen said, his lips twisted in a partially confused expression as the cryptic, potent words echoed in the back of his mind.

"Have you seen Paige?" Leo asked, interrupting the moment of awkward silence. "I heard that you pulled her out of Limbo, and the Elders wanted to speak with her. For some strange reason, we can't detect her presence within this quadrant of the galaxy at all. I know that you are the closest person to her, so do you know where she is residing?"

"Lord Vine's palace on the sole moon of Vegeta-sei," Seventeen responded. "She's changed a lot though Leo, both physically and mentally, so don't be surprised when you see her. Make sure you ask Lord Vine, just tell him who you are and he'll probably take you to her."

"Probably?" Leo asked, a slight trace of doubt and confusion leaking out with his words.

"He hates the foreigners," the android said with a smile. "So don't be surprised if he tries to obliterate before actually trusting you enough. For insurance, you should probably inform him that you are an old aquaintence of mine," the whitelighter smiled, and then he walked off in the opposite direction. Seventeen, feeling slightly disturbed at what Leo had said about Dante's Abyss, shivered a little bit before entering the recreational park complex.

Almost immediately the machine-hybrid noticed the trio relaxing beneath the synthetic moonlight. The first familiar face he recognized was that of Super Buu, but a moment later, he noticed two other faces that both took him back to the time of Red Stallions: Back before Lord Vine and even before the cyborg's little vacation to the fiery pits of Hell. One of them was almost identical to Super Buu save for their height difference, and it only took the android a second to remember that he was called Kid Buu for a reason. Reclining on the grass with the two pink warriors was a violet-haired woman who seemed to have shed her top a while for one reason or another. Seventeen remembered her from as well from the Red Stallion's invasion. Her name was, for obvious reasons, Violet, and although the android had never really had a conversation with her that wasn't a debriefing, he remembered her.

?So, if everyone is sober enough to answer, how have you guys been since I left?" The woman questioned, the two Buus and her still completely oblivious to the android's presence.

"Didn't you parents ever tell you that 'alcohol is bad, m'kay'?" Seventeen said sarcastically, one of his stupid grins plastered across his youthful face.

OOC: I finally tracked you guys down!

As Piccolo entered the room he got a feeling that he should go to the park, it was like someone was in his mind and telling him ?Go to the park?. He walked out of the workout room and entered the main part of the dojo. There were still people fighting and training, he continued up to the dojos pathway entrance and walked through it until he was in the main lobby once again.

The mid-aged Namek looked around, he looked at he big board and noticed some changes to it, and some of the fighters were missing. Piccolo then walked up to one the employees, and tapped him on the shoulder. He tuned around and smiled.

?May I help you?? he asked politely.

?Yea, what happened to some of the fighters names?? he replied as he pointed to the big board. ?They?re missing.? he added.

?Oh yes, when a fighter is selected to be in the tournament of Dante?s Abyss, we remove their name and send them to a VIP Lounge, where they sit and wait for all the other fighters to show up.? he explained. ?Once all forty-four fighters are selected then the show starts.? he added as he smiled.

?Okay, well that helps.? said Piccolo.

?Glad I could be of service? the employee said has he put out his hand to shake it with Piccolos. The Namek looked at his hand and then walked away, he wasn?t going to shake hands with some random dude.

He walked to the pathway the led to the park and looked at it. Then continued until he came into the beautiful park, the grass was green, the sun was bright, and the trees were looking healthy. Well that?s probably cause it was an artificial park.

There were a lot of people in the park; he noticed some humans as well as an android along with some others. The android however caught his eye; he couldn?t quite grasp his name. Piccolo thought until it hit him, it was Android 17. The two did something together but he didn?t remember, all this time he thought the machine-hybrid died somewhere. He shrugged and continued walking along the sidewalk of the park. He looked over to his left and noticed a saiyan standing there by himself the Namek approached the young saiyan. As he got closer his identity was reveled.

?Goten!? Piccolo said as he walked up to the saiyan. ?Hey, its Piccolo, remember me from Arlia?? he added.

Sixteen ambled through the expansive park, the artificial moon casting pale light over the slightly damp grass. The park seemed to be largely empty, though many competitors seemed to be still out, perhaps for a midnight walkabout as he was. The quiet atmosphere, only penetrated by the occasional snatches of conversation from random passers-by, gave the synthetic human plenty of time to think about events passed.

The fact that Michael had finally removed the veil from his shadowy past, revealed most of his past memories, regained a large portion of himself and even managed to encounter his past love by sheer luck all seemed surreal to him. He could scarcely believe that he had a real reason to live, this he had been searching for since the beginning of his 'second life'. His thoughts continued to loop back to the fiery-haired woman, Aida. She had been brought back to him, and he to her, after a long alienation and his spirits were at an all-time high because of this. A smile spread across his face, faltering as a thought struck him.

"Shit..." He mouthed. He had forgotten to inform the woman of his presence in this competition. Quickly bringing his pointer and middle finger to his temple, he brought out his scouter. He tapped the buttons on the small device quickly, cycling past the recorded frequencies before reaching that of the Civil Unrest headquarters.

?Yes?? The familiar voice of the English computer answered.

?Yeah, computer. It?s Sixteen, can ya? do me a favor?? The android inquired.

?Yes, of course. What will you be needing??

?Just tell Aida that?? He paused to ponder how exactly he could say it. The two had barely become re-acquainted, and now he had up and left her all alone at the base while he was risking his life at this competition. He almost couldn?t believe he was doing this to her. ?? That I?m competing in a sort of fighting contest.? He finished the thought.

?Yes, yes.? The computer replied. ?But shouldn?t you be telling her this yourself, I can get her on the line if you want-?

?No! I?uh?don?t wanna be the one to tell her, alright?? Mike cut the computer off mid-thought.

?If you insist, Sixteen.?

?Give ?er my love and tell ?er I?ll be back as soon as I possibly can be.? The android instructed.

?Alright.? The British accented voice answered, signing off.

Sighing, Sixteen continued his walk through the tranquil recreational area, gazing around lazily. He hummed ?Back in Black?, bobbing his head up and down slightly as he walked though the neatly trimmed grass. His hands had found their way back into the pockets of his loose jeans, his thumbs through his belt loops as he paced the area, quite at ease. He took a deep breath of the crisp air, smirking as he slipped back to his thoughts. He worried not of his chances of winning the competition, or of whether or not he would ever see his friends again. He was completely at peace, for the first time in a long while.

Android Sixteen pulled a hand from his pocket, brushing his mohawk down with his free hand. A bit of stubble was starting to appear in the shaven areas, the strip of ginger hair still about the same length it had always been at. He dug his hand back into his pocket, turning to his left as he heard a familiar voice ring out through the air.

"Didn't you parents ever tell you that 'alcohol is bad, m'kay'?"
Sixteen smiled broadly, instantly recognizing the voice of his friend and ally, Android Seventeen. Upon closer observation of the area, he noticed another familiar face, the woman named Violet laying on the grass with her top removed, revealing her only partly clothed bosom. Two similar looking pink humanoids were also within his range of sight, the larger of the two leaning against the tree, and the smaller sitting in the grass smoking a cigarette. All three of the group seemed to have already visited the Restaurant/Bar he had passed on the way over, the shorter Majin handling his alcohol better than the other two. What possessed the creators of Dante?s Abyss to serve alcohol to super-powered competitors was beyond the mechanized human.

The group greeted the dark haired new-comer fondly as the ginger haired android stepped out of their view, though none of them had noticed him anyway. He quickly concealed himself behind the tree, some twenty feet away from the group. He was completely hidden from view and took some time to think of what to do next. His ego drove him to think of some creative way, forbidding him to simply prance up and wave. A broad smirk appeared on his face once more as he pulled his hand from his pocket, holding it open, palm up.

- - -

? ?Ey, Sevedeen!? Super Buu called loudly to his ally, though he was less than four feet away. ?Sid?down, Kiddy was just ?bout to tell us what ?es been up to!? He hiccupped and slumped against the tree as he finished his sentence.

?Must you open your mouth and reinforce the common belief that you?re an imbecile?? The shorter Majin spoke up, taking a drag on his cig.

He opened his mouth to reply, only to be hurled forward a second later, as the tree behind him detonated, showering the group with splinters and chunks of bark. He emitted a high pitched shriek as he was thrown onto the lavender haired woman. Violet kicked at the magical entity, knocking the Majin from atop her.

?Who did ?at!? The puttalin yelped, getting to his feet.

A deep chuckle was heard behind the dust cloud as the mohawked warrior strode through. ?Hello to you too.?

Silver's eyes opened slightly to see the smiling face of his fianc?e, Cara, looking down on him. She was sitting against the trunk of the tree she had taken Silver out of and now the man lay in her arms. Suddenly, the orange haired human's eyes snapped open, exposing his unique eyes to the world once again. Something was different about him though and the brunette girl saw it.

"What?s wrong?" she asked Silver. Ignoring her, the man reached under his left leg and removed a dart that was in deep. Cara gasped as she saw the projectile dripping with the blood of her love. No face of pain registered on Silver, however, inside, he felt it. He just could not show the emotion for some reason.

Tarnoc, Jyuken said.

What? Silver replied. What do you mean?

A piece of Tarnoc is inside of you somewhere, changing you. How it got there I don't know.

He created me, Silver said, hanging his head. That?s how.

What?! Jyuken screamed. You serious?

Silver did not answer, which was a signal that he was telling the truth. Outside, a face of pain shot onto the orange haired man. His leg was on fire and it finally showed. Silver was confused about the sudden change. He knew he was changing but he kept on going back and forth and it was getting tiring.

This is the last one, my boy. Your words have changed him.

Looks like you'll have a new room mate, Jyuken, Silver said. Welcome Tarnoc.

It?s good to be free, a new voice said as a barbarian looking man formed in Silver's mind.

Back outside, Silver's fianc? was starting to panic. She had no idea what was going on and it scared her to see her love like this. The orange haired man reached up and stroked her face. A single tear fell from her eyes and landed on his ungloved hand.

"I won't die," he then said. "I'm not ready to do so."

The girl said nothing, but instead kissed Silver and then passed out. Getting up, the man in the black trench coat picked Cara up and started to walk. He had no idea where he was going, but he knew he was staying in the park.

"Love."
"Who's love?"
"My love."
"Your love?"
"My love for you, now give me a room."

The receptionist sat awkwardly behind the desk as a young Saiya-jin faced her with his hands planted firmly upon the table in front of him, leaned over so that he was practically eye to eye with the women. Goten had taken a pair of the longer locks of hair from the back of his head around and tied them positioned just above his mouth, giving the appeal of a bold thick mustache. A white jacket he had stolen from one of the restaurant waiters was wrapped about his torso, the name tag obviously ripped off.
"Well," She hesitated while reaching for a small tablet of papers. "There is one room... 505."
"That will do nicely." The hybrid had picked up a small English accent for the occasion and now was working with it. "Care to join me?"
"I have work to do, sir."
"Damn right you do." Placing the addition of a wink at the end of his line struck the lady clerk speechless.
"I- ..." But without another word, the Saiyan picked up the key card to his room and was off through the exit; tossing the jacket off in the process and letting free the hair from his lip.

So far things had been generally boring, the restaurant was packed to say in the least and as for the hotel it had been moderate. Flipping the card between his fingers he noted the small 'DA' logo printed on the front side of the plastic rectangle... interestingly enough as it was he pocketed it and continued onward.

Finding a thin paved pathway, it seemed to serve on toward a large recreation center of sorts. Stepping through the sliding glass doors into the structure there seemed to be amass of activity going on throughout the length of the indoor habitat that turned out to be a park designed for the participants. With a stretch and a yawn the halfling settled and began to glance about at his surroundings.

"Goten!" Someone called to him, glancing over the hybrid recognized the Namekian from back before the transfer into the tourney. "Hey, its Piccolo, remember me from Arlia?"
"Ohh hey, what's up? Seen any from that alliance of yours around?" If Trunks was a member of this coalition then that would mean one step better in the direction of surviving the tournament this time around.
"Not that I've seen, you are the first familiar face I've seen."
"Likewise." The Saiya-jin raised his arms up, placing his hands behind his head comfortably as he continued scanning around listlessly.

The princess? mind raced to make sense of the series of completely ridiculous events that had left her standing inside a grand hall which led to several facilities contained within the Dante?s Abyss tournament.

Apparently, according to several banners, she was currently in the pre-show stage of the tournament, where no actual combat would take place. A sigh of relief escaped Bra?s lips; she was in no mood to fight.

Her thoughts returned to Grimshaw as she wandered down a rounded, descending corridor, complete with automatically opening doors at regular intervals. The old man must have suffered greatly, trapped - as he was - between life and death. The hybrid knew there was nothing she could do about the situation, but still, it was painful to see a hero of such caliber doomed to such an egregious fate.

Bra continued her half-hearted trek, touching on memories of friends, new and old, and her family. A frown painted across her face as she began to realize that her memories had grown fuzzy, and distant. Some people dotted within her thoughts she could hardly place, as though she should have known them, but couldn?t.

The demi saiyan passed through another set of metal, sliding doors, and found herself within an expansive, man-made park. Bra paused, taking in the sight. It was gorgeous; lush trees stood tall over perfectly-cut grass, a lake filled with Japanese coy drained into a shallow creek, which lapped gently against the rocks as it rolled down a hill, and dozens of little stands had been set up at regular intervals along the footpaths.

A dauntingly large crowd had gathered here, causing the cyan haired girl to shy away from the main clearing of the environmental haven. Instead, Bra quietly slipped away, heading down one of the dozens of paths, disappearing behind a wall of foliage.

Soon, the girl found herself at a bridge over a far mightier river than the little creek she had seen before, and took a seat on the edge of the wooden suspension bridge, letting her feet dangle over the side. For a long time, she simply watched the water and listened to it?s rhythmic churning and roaring, letting herself finally relax and lean back, releasing some of the enormous tension building up within her.

Her long hair continually brushed against the wooden planks which had made up the bridge, and Bra found herself playing with a lock of it, twisting it around her index finger as she idly watched the river below.

Bra?s eyelids grew heavy, and so she lied down, her legs still hanging over the edge, but she refused to close her eyes. She wanted to be awake, so now she studied the clouds above. Had she paid more attention, she would have known they were artificial, but, to her, they were as real as they had to be.

OOC: Feel free to crash Bra's... uh... bridge.

Cara lay on a park bench a few feet away from where Silver stood. He just stood there, arms crossed, silver eyes staring at the sky. Eveyone who passed by the man, stopped and looked up to see what it was the man was staring at. This went on for hours until finnaly, the orange haired male lowered his head and turned it towards the brown haired female. She was still asleep, her chest rising and falling with each breath. Suddenly, Silver heard Jyuken in his head.

Now, this is how you take control.

Silver's eyes started to darken, then went back to normal.

What the hell?! Silver yelled. You now the rules, bastard.

Sorry, Jyuken replied. It was Tarnoc's idea.

Oh don't you go blamin it all on mea, now, Tarnoc started to yell and Silver got a hint of a strong northern accent.

Tuning the two out, the orange haired warrior took a pair of white gloves out of a pocket in his trench coat and sild them on. It was time to do what he needed to do and it was the perfect time to do so.

Jyuken, where did we see Nezi last? Silver asked.

I'm not sure, but I do know it was about seven hours ago. Why?

None of your buisness, old fag, Silver shoot.

That ya nickname, Jyuken? Tarnoc asked the ninja.

Again, Silver shut the two voices out of his mind and started walking no where in particular. People were getting less and less in the park and Silver was sure that the choice for the competitors had begun.

If thats happening, you best go find something to eat boy, Jyuken piped up.

Yah! Ya need some meet on yer bones, Tarnoc cut in.

A steak does sound good, Silver replied as a smile formed on his face. I haven't had a good meel since I met you and Roshec.

The last comment was directed towards Tarnoc of course, but he did not mind. The Organization had corrupted him after all. With that, the orange haired human walked off.

Night time ? a cat?s time to shine. Being nocturnal, Puar was naturally attuned to the night. Traipsing across the grassy surface of Dante?s Abyss? park, the sky blue cat kept his eyes on one specific item ? a mouse. The tiny rodent?s large ears had proved unable to pick up the sound of his stalker?s footsteps, mainly due to Puar?s naturally soft padded feet. Creeping along behind the creature, patiently; Puar awaited the opportune time to make his move.

Suddenly, the mouse stopped. Lifting its nose into the air, it began to sniff around. Knowing that he didn?t have much time left before the mouse ran, Puar crouched down and prepared to pounce. Just as he leapt into the air, the tiny rodent sprinted away. Like a tiny blue bullet, Puar began pursuit. And then ? BAM! Puar thumped into something thin and hard. Looking up, he saw a familiar face, and a few unfamiliar ones.

?Violet!? squeaked Puar loudly, forgetting about the mouse completely.

With a tiny leap, Puar was up in Violet?s arms. Oddly enough, Violet was surrounded by many unfamiliar people. And what a cast of characters they were: one was a huge burly man, with a fiery orange mohawk; two more were some sort of pink blob-ish human things. And finally, there was a black haired scrawny looking teenager ? except his face contradicted his age. He had wrinkles, of the stressful sort ? as well as gray-ish hair. He had apparently been through some sort of stress in his life?but there was more on Puar?s mind at the moment.

?How?ve you been Puar?? asked Violet, her words slightly drawn out. She ended her sentence with a loud hiccup, and had a dazed look on her face. Apparently, she was drunk.

?Just fine Violet,? replied Puar, ignoring Violet?s obvious drunken state. ?Who?re your friends??

?This is Seventeen-? Violet gestured towards the young black haired man, who smiled slightly. ?Super Buu and Kid Buu-? she gestured towards the blob-humans, also had slightly dazed looks?apparently also drunk. ?And finally, Sixteen-? Violet gestured towards the muscle-bound mohawk man. ?And everyone, this is Puar.?

Puar nodded casually to his new acquaintances, and settled himself in Violet?s arms. She began to scratch between his ears, and started speaking to her friends ? words which Puar ignored, in his current state of content-ness. Being among people, fraternizing with new friends was enough for him ? a cat?s demands are usually simple.

Standing on a hill in my mountain of dreams
Telling myself its not as hard, hard, hard as it seems

Leaving the Information Center, Reijin's feet found themselves walking into a strange natural area nearby. Some form of park, it seemed. There were beautiful lush trees placed in very specific intervals around the area, near a streaming creek. The creek reflected all that stood nearby with an eerie transluminance, almost a spiritual vision.

Shutting everything out, Reijin allowed himself to reflect upon the halcyon that surrounded him, until he found himself walking onto a suspended bridge over the creek. A teenage girl was sitting on the side of it, overlooking the water beneath her. She seemed to be lost in her own thoughts, leaving the male Saiyan to shrug before sitting down on the opposite side of her, his back to hers and his own legs hanging over the bridge in mirror of her own.

He had no intentions of interrupting the young woman. He simply had images of Videl lodged within his cortex, and needed some feeling of familiarity nearby. The nameless woman sighed, breaking the stillness that lay around them, but nothing further came from her.

Finally the Saiyan was lost in a trance, letting his mind and body align. Suddenly someone stood on the bridge, swinging it beneath the shift in weight. Reijin's only thought as he was rudely awakened from his trance was that the young woman had arisen, shifting the balance that they had held. He fell backwards, abruptly losing his balance and pushing them both over the bridge into the water.

The girl sat up, stretching her limbs, oblivious to the young man who sat down almost directly behind her. A yawn escaped her mouth, and she lazily climbed to her feet, hauling herself up by the guardrail, causing the bridge to sway somewhat.

Apparently the man behind her had very poor balance, and rolled backwards into the backs of Bra?s legs, toppling her over the rails and sending the two of them plunging into the river below, one after the other.

The cyan haired girl kick mightily, retaining her composure in the potentially dangerous situation. Somehow, Bra managed to retain the swimming lessons Burter had taught her, despite not having swam anywhere since.

Quickly, the halfling hauled herself out of the powerful current, crawling along the riverbank and coughing out the lung-ful of water she?d unhappily breathed in during the short ordeal. Out of the corner of her eye, the princess watched her unlikely companion crawl out of the river behind her.

Bra turned around and sprawled onto the bank. ?You fucking moron!! What the hell did you-? she froze. Once he lifted his head, a look of confusion and recognition both washed across her face at once, causing her to completely forget the fact that she was soaking wet, and that this newcomer was entirely responsible. The girl narrowed her eyes, as though squinting would jog her memory.

?I... do I... who are you?? she finally demanded, causing the saiyan to raise an eyebrow in confusion. He glared back at the cyan haired girl for a moment, but eventually, he took a seat across from her and spoke.

?Reijin.? the tone of his voice made it obvious he didn?t wish to offer his name so easily, but - Bra presumed - he must have had felt some kind of recognition as she had.

In an instant, the name formed a clear history of the man behind it. The princess quickly recalled her fight with the armies of Hell, alongside Reijin and a copy of Hell Fighter Seventeen. She quickly leapt to her feet, coming to the realization that, in her current state, Reijin would never be able to remember her.

?Uh, okay,? she began, trying to find the words to say. ?This is gonna sound weird, but, you already know me. We fought together in the last Friend or Foe tournament. ...My name?s Bra. Dad?s - I mean - Vegeta?s kid.?

The saiyan pure-blood said nothing for a long moment, obviously skeptical about the statement, but at the same time completely aware that such knowledge wasn?t simply stumbled across. Still, it all seemed utterly ridiculous, but there was a powerful sense of familiarity in the young woman?s eyes.

After a few moments spent in dubious thought, the raven haired youth shrugged. "I don't think that I believe you." After all, he didn't have his LENS with him on Dante, nor did he recognize her specifically. He was sure that if the collars had not been dampening his abilities that he would still not recognize her. However, she looked similar to the girl he vaguely remembered from the tantrum atop of the watchtower on Kala.

This girl was at least a few years older, and despite having the same eyes and hair as the girl she claimed to be, she seemed a bit more mature than the spoiled child he'd dealt with there.

When he spoke the words, a nearly royal defiance flashed across her face. "Fine then! Don't believe me! Maybe here I'll return the manhandling that you gave me on that fucking rock then." Red entered her sleek cheeks, and the Saiyan realized his mistake.

His eyes slightly widened a bit. Momentarily, his old rasp returned a bit as he spoke. "How the hell? You are her!" He slightly lowered his head, having no true reason to bow to her, but in the least giving some form of bow of recognition. His eyes rose back up to meet her matured pupils, windows into a very different and yet similar paradox of a soul.

She seemed a lot more... He wasn't sure of the word. She had a new beauty about her that seemed so different from the prepubescent child that he'd encountered before, and yet the same slightly spoiled emotions that one would expect of a Saiyan of such regal blood. She even had the same style of clothing, just a bit different from before. Her posture was similar to her father's as well.

She slowly rose to walk away, angry and hurt at the accusations placed before her, but the Saiyan's gloved hand clasped onto her arm and pulled her back down. She spun around immediately and her arm came with it, intending to get a message across to anyone that tried to force her to do anything. Like a preplanned response, the other gloved hand was immediately in position to close around the wrist of her impending hand, soft fingertips stopping a breath away from his face.

"Sit." he commanded. Without allowing her the chance to catch her breath and scream, he jerked her down, and then immediately released her so as to avoid upsetting her further. Her air seemed to deserve a bit more respect than he usually gave others. "I..." he began. "I'm unaware of anything that could cause such a change in state. I know that you are unable to change forms due to these collars, so it must be your natural state. I will apologize," he exhaled slowly, nearly breathing over the words.

Caught midsentence, the woman stopped for a moment. "You... are apologizing?" The man that she had met atop the tower had treated her so differently, like a spoiled little brat as opposed to the woman that he was addressing now. Most others had always treated her as a princess simply due to her stature, while he'd let such things go right past him and treated her like any other child. Why would he apologize? "If you are apologizing simply because I am a Princess-"

The Saiyan's eyes glared venom at her. "I told you before! I could give a fuck less what royalty you are and who you are related to. I made a mistake and I will account for it. Next subject," he hurried out, rising to his feet and extending a hand to pull her up as well. "What are you doing here?"

Kid Buu was surprised at the amount of people that had collected around them in such a short period of time. It was as if, charged with special electrons by their prodigious consumption of booze, the trio had acquired an almost magnetic quality for their fellow teammates, luring them as effectively and reliably as a politician attracted scandal. Either that, or maybe they were all just drunkards who, having sensed by some disturbance in the alcoholic ether, had arrived - too late! - hoping to get a piece of the action. Or maybe Kid Buu was just drunk. Yes. That seemed more likely.

He remained silent as now one, two, and then three of the other members assembled in the park, sending grey hairs, splinters, and fur everywhere. Far from being annoyed at being prevented from telling his story, he was glad for the disturbance. As the organization united once again and exchanged pleasantries, he forced his addled mind through the convolutions of all the things that had happened to him lately, like a mouse seeking a coherent bit of cheese in a jumble of ridiculously arranged pipes. Finally, as the cat ? Puar, apparently - settled down, as the mohawk man finished brushing himself off, and as Seventeen allowed himself the luxury of a small smile, Kid Buu raised his hand for silence.

"As some of you may have noticed, I've changed a lot since you last saw me," he began. He took a fortifying suck on his teat of nicotine. "I'll spare you some of the boring details, but here it is in a nutshell..."

And slowly, methodically, he went through the chaos that had been his everyday life. He tried to parse it into a conceivable story, but had trouble right off the bat. A wizard and his creation, Veni and Vici, respectively, had come to earth in search of Super and Kid Buu's creator, the infamous wizard Bibidi, who had made a wager with Veni and his twin Vidi on who could produce the most horrible, destructive being the universe had ever seen. Veni and Vidi had lost, of course, but that hadn't stopped Vidi from sacrificing himself to give their own golem, Vici, life... Alone in a field, training by himself, Buu had become the first target of their plot for revenge. They were stopped, however. Buu glossed over how his power had become unlocked; it wasn't necessary to know and it was also rather personal.

But his titanic battle with the fused Vice - a hybrid of wizard and fighter - hadn't been enough to appease the callous Gods of fate. Zanshin - and here Super Buu seemed to rouse himself from his drunken stupor to listen like a whale slowly beaching itself on a lonely bar of sand to sunbathe - had attacked Kid Buu during his brief stint as an actor for the Cattle Prodigy movie. It was here, he explained, that he had met Michael Dunhan, who had been hurt in Zanshin's initial attack. He had absorbed the bloated director in order to boost his own power to fight Zanshin, but it had ended up being permanent.

"So... Dunhan's inside of you?" Violet asked with a slightly puzzled, mostly drunken glance towards his uncovered belly.

"Yes and no," he explained tiredly, rubbing the spot on his stomach as if Violet's eyes had made it unclean. It made him uncomfortable to think about just where Dunhan was. "He's not in there, but he is. He's a part of me now, and he isn't. The way I talk, the things I know, the feelings I can express now... They're all a mixture of he and I. He's attached to me, but I'm also attached to him." He rubbed his head now instead of his tummy. "It's confusing. But it's who I am now, so I just have to live with it. God, I need a martini," he added as an afterthought, looking around hopefully.

?I told you before! I could give a fuck less what royalty you are and who you are related to. I made a mistake and I will account for it. Next subject,? Reijin paused to stand up, and extended a hand to Bra, who was still on the ground. ?What are you doing here??

The princess hesitated for a long moment, before finally reaching out and taking the warrior?s hand. With a quick tug, Reijin hauled Bra to her feet, and the girl was swift to retract her arm and turn away from him.

?I?m...? she began, partially unsure of wether or not to tell Reijin, and partially unsure she actually knew what to say. ?I?m looking for... something. Sort of.?

?Sort of?? the pure blooded saiyan raised an eyebrow. ?How do you ?sort of? look for something? And on Dante, of all places!?

?Look. There?s a disc, or something, and it?s supposed to be here. I don?t know what it looks like and I don?t know what?s on it. I just know that I have to find it if I want to find out what-? Bra stopped short, shaking her head violently.

?What? What are you trying to find out?? Reijin demanded, somewhat intrigued by the young empress? cryptic words. ?Out with it, woman!!?

The hybrid nearly tripped over her own feet upon hearing the order. Nobody had ever referred to her as ?woman? before. She knew she?d rapidly grown older, but it was proving harder and harder to adjust as time went on.

?Look,? Bra turned on her heel to face her interrogator. ?I don?t know what?s happened between before I... changed, and now. It?s like, this huge chunk of my life is just... missing. And I want to know what happened from then and now!?

?And that disc is supposed to say something about it?? Reijin hazarded.

?That disc is supposed to say everything about it!!? the demi saiyan retorted, flailing her arms in emphasis. ?But I don?t even know where to look. We?re restricted to an island - which is supposed to be huge - and I don?t even know if that?s where the disc is! It could be anywhere on Dante!?

Bra sighed in exasperation, slamming her foot into a large rock, and sending it rocketing through the air, disappearing into the distance. The teal haired girl began to trek down another dirt trail, leaving damp footprints behind. She shivered from the cold, hugging herself tightly. She would catch a cold if she didn?t dry herself off soon, but she didn?t care. In moments, Bra heard Reijin?s distinctive footfalls behind her, and opened her mouth to talk.

?I don?t even know who I am anymore.? she stated, not bothering to look back at the saiyan.

?I don?t even know who I am anymore," he heard her soft voice say.

The rash Saiyan huffed angrily in response. "You are a Princess of your homeworld." To him, sometimes things were as simple as what was most obvious. Not always. Apparently not in this case.

She rounded on him angrily. "That's not all I am!" she growled. "And shut up about it! If I wanted the entire world to know I'd just have them add it to my name for the event." Her face was reddened once more, and Reijin just let it go.

His hands spread momentarily in a rare gesture of peace. "You need to accept who you are." He wasn't quite understanding what she was trying to tell him, so he just kneeled down next to her. The sky above them was slowly growing darker in the day, and Reijin could tell that night was coming. Their clothes were sopping wet, and people were slowly exiting the park. For now, they could have a moment of peace.

Bra shook her head frustratingly. "No, that's not what I mean. I mean..." she sighed for a moment. "I've changed from this, and I don't know why. Its like I've been thrust five years into the future and suddenly I'm being reintroduced to who I am and... and people just either accept it and treat me like a little girl, or they act like they have no clue who I am and like they are scared of me or something."

Dropping to his knees, the Saiyan's mind trailed onto her words. "Be thankful for who you are..." She looked down at him for a moment, but could not see his face in the shadow of the tree. "I am without mother or father. I am simply a tool. I have learned this." He turned and gave her an eerie and deadly smile. "Make no mistake about it. I'm a very efficient weapon. But..." his face once more returned to the ground as flames began to emanate from his gloved hand. True flames. "A tool nonetheless. I exist to destroy. I have no identity other than killer. My birthright is assassin. I kill simply as a means of completing business and I do enjoy it." The flames around him grew in intensity, and he touched a pile of sticks that he'd been gathering. It immediately lit to flame.

The flames cast an eerie flicker onto his face as he once more looked up. "I have lost myself at birth to the demon that I have become. I have cast down Satan himself, before your very eyes, and yet as great as my power is, I have very few near to me." He motioned to her to sit next to him, but she seemed to be thinking on his words while thinking on her own problem as well. "I will do anything it takes to accomplish a goal. Only a fool wouldn't. But I fell weak to a human, like your father before me. Videl's existance was eradicated now. Your memories will probably not even recall her and noone will even know of the woman I am referring to."

Bra could hardly begin to process what just happened, but, she thought Reijin had just opened up to her. The very idea of such a thing was entirely impossible, but it was though it had happened anyway. The princess growled almost inaudibly. Was everything becoming illogical specifically to confound her?!

The cyan haired teenager took a seat across from Reijin, putting her hands close to the fire and taking solace in the warmth thrown from the beautiful flames dancing between her and the warrior.

?I... didn?t know. I?m sorry-?

?No need to apologize. You had nothing to do with it. The past is past. Mine and yours. The point I was trying to make is that you have to make do with what you have and move on. I wasn?t asking for your sympathy.? the raven haired saiyan retorted, casting a glance off into the darkness.

Bra was very close to throwing a vicious retort, but, in an almost unprecedented move, she restrained herself. Instead, she simply focused on the fire, admiring it?s grace. The flame had such majesty when it wasn?t used for destruction; it was a shame she rarely got to see it in a positive light.

The girl never had a chance to respond as two beams of light broke the calm serenity the two warriors shared. A pair of Dante?s Abyss officials armed with flashlights emerged from the darkness, hands on their holsters should anything go awry.

Reijin?s eyes fell to the weapons attached to the men?s hips and immediately assumed the worst. Leaping to his feet, the indomitable saiyan actually began to step back, away from the officials. Bra could hardly believe what was going on.

?You two. Come with us. Now.? spoke the larger of the two officials, unpinning the button covering his ki pistol. He would be able to draw it in an instant should the necessity arise, not that he would be quick enough to react to either warrior.

?Was it the fire? I already dealt with the visor thing! If this is about the fire, I?ll put it out. Just leave that collar off!? Reijin exclaimed, taking another step away from the two officials. Bra was utterly speechless. She couldn?t possibly be sensing fear. Not from one as ruthless as Reijin could be.

Regardless, the girl made her way to her feet, unwilling to allow the confrontation to escalate any farther. She would slaughter these two if the need arose. Already, adrenaline began to force it?s way through her veins as her eyes narrowed in anticipation.

?No, it has nothing to do with the fire. You?ve been selected. Please, follow us.?

The chaos of the giant?s arrival soon settled down, the drunken majin still wandering aimlessly around the surrounding area as the mohawked android took his seat with the others.

His fellow android, Seventeen, smiled pleasantly as he addressed his larger clansman. ?So, Sixteen. Where have you been slacking off at??

The latter smirked, rubbing his eye with his thumb. ?Ya? know. Here and there. Where have you guys been off at??

?Me ?n Sevendeen were up at Lord Vine?s place.? The staggering magical golem slurred, resting an elbow on the raven haired android?s head as he spoke. His smaller counterpart remained silent, a vague smirk on his face as he listened to the conversation.

?Violet!? A tiny voice piped in, a teal colored feline leaping onto the dame from behind her.

?How?ve you been Puar?? asked the lavender haired woman slowly, trying to hide her obvious state. The hiccup at the end of her query didn?t help much, making it quite obvious.

?Just fine Violet,? Puar replied. ?Who?re your friends??

?This is Seventeen-? Violet pointing vaguely at the seated android across from Sixteen. ?Super Buu and Kid Buu-? she gestured towards the pink humanoids, also hiding their alcohol induced states rather badly, though Kid Buu having much more luck with it. ?And finally, Sixteen-? Violet gestured toward him. ?And everyone, this is Puar.?

Puar nodded in acknowledgement, curling up on her lap. She scratched his ears as the conversation started up again, the smaller magical construct beginning a rather long-winded explanation. Michael payed little attention, still managing to catch the jist of it as he stared off. It wasn?t as if he wasn?t interested, he was just so god damned bored. He turned back toward the narrator as the name ?Michael? came up, turning away when he realized he meant someone else. His explanation ended, the larger majin running off to vomit into a nearby bush.

?So, Sixteen.? The dark haired android began. ?You seem a bit...different since I last saw you.?

Sixteen sighed, stretching his legs. ?I?d rather not get into it. Let?s jus? say I have a whole new perspective of life. I?ll tell ye? some other time.? He finished.

Seventeen nodded, turning back to watch Super Buu walk back over, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.

?Weak stomach?? The reclined woman taunted.

?Shaddup.? The majin warrior dismissed her, not in the mood to exchange insults.

Sixteen rolled his eyes, getting to his feet. Not that he wouldn?t have loved to watch two drunks of different species exchange insults, he simply could not find the ability to sit still much longer. Rising, he brushed himself off.

?Well, i?m gonna go for a walk.? Michael addressed the group.

The cat dozing in the lavender haired woman?s arms looked up suddenly, wriggling from her grasp. ?I?d be up for a walk as well, ?Sixteen? was it??

He winced. ?Call me Red. I hate being called Sixteen.?

Seventeen cocked an eyebrow, as if to say ?Since when??. The larger android ignored him, beginning to walk away. ?Alright, c?mon Puar.? The feline bounded from Violet?s lap, landing softly on the grass and following quickly behind his much larger ally.

Sixteen and Puar are off to find lodgings.
