For the time being...

Like I said, its completely understandable for any member let alone staff to deal with personal issues. I dont expect anyone to take a website over something they have going on in real life. That was just something I've noticed for the last few weeks and it wasn't directed to any specific staff member.

I'm gunna go out on a limb and ask this (partially cause I'm slaushed and just don't have the good sense not too) but... is the staff here giving up on chubbs? If you're tired of DBZ/ this site... whatever, but don't string us (the members) out like this. People are still RPing, training, storyline building, alliance building, etc. I just feel like all the excitement that was here, when I first joined, has gone. Why? Cause the easy click-to-train coding is gone?" Come on...

I just want to know, is chubbs going to come back to full force, or are we wasting our time? And I don't want to hear you're busy cause honestly, I have three jobs, I'm planning a marriage, I'm the president of a frat, I'm training for the decath, I'm jumping through hoops to get to grad school, I run my own site, I run several fantasy leagues, I'm extremely active within my cyber nations alliance, and I stay active here. So if I can find the time, anyone can. Yes 18 is working hard to keep the roster updated, and Burter handles.. stuff. But there's a whole lot of people boasting staff positions these days and a whole lot of nothing getting done (it seems). If there is something massive being worked on behind the scenes... fine, I guess. But please don't act like it takes a year to map out a system change. It doesn't. I've done it several times. You aren't all senators, you don't have public appearances to make. We all have lives, we all have things to do. But seriously, waiting as long as we are to have things updated or even responded to makes those of us who are making an effort to stay active feel like there is no point. You can try to turn this around on me like I'm the bad guy here, like I'm accosting a loyal and dedicated staff, but I've actively RPed here since I joined. I've never had to re-active my character, and I post (pretty much) at least once every two weeks. I do what I can to enrich this great community here, but I feel as though the staff is giving up on this site cause the coding went to shit and that doesnt make sense to me. Great, we have manual training now... How bout a finite answer on this character switch (that I originally said was a shitty Idea in the first place mind you) that sent this place into a downward spiral to begin with? How about some responsive staffing (as in responding to update requests that are over several days old?

I know people get busy. I get busy, we all get busy, that's fine. But, I promise, staff here is no busier than a lot of us members. But it feels like staff has been "busy" for like half a year now and I honestly just want to know if you guys give a shit or if you're just lazy...

Aqua Wrote:How short on staff is Chubbs right now exactly O_o? Not to say Burter doesn't deserve the position, I'm just saying things seem to be going pretty s-l-o-w these days.

The hierarchy is based on the idea that there are two admins and a tiebreaker. With Tim on break, we needed someone to keep the balance going, and Josh picked Burter.

Calm down. This school starting back up period is always slow for Chubbs.

As long as people continue to want to be here and continue to roleplay, we'll continue to staff it. Once this kind of crazy month goes by I think you'll find, like always, things will pick back up. It happens every year, and has since the original creation of this RPG more than half a decade ago.

Yeah Aqua calm down. This site has always had this slow period, as Waff said. It always seems n the brink of death, but it isn't. I assure you, if we were tired of Chubbs, I think the Vets would have the decency to shut it down.

Yes I do agree that some of the staff should start doing more, but I'm not going to badger them. It's not my job to get on their case about updates and the like.

So let's not start debating about Chubbs living or dying, and staff doing this or that. Just do what you're here for guys, writing.

I'm not giving up on Chubbs. Promise.

Oh, hey, now that I'm thinking about it, 18 is officially being bumped to Super Mod. Rad and I agreed. I want to make a couple other tweaks, but we'll see after I speak to Rad

Chubbs will always exist as long as its writers are willing.

When it comes down to the simple meat and potatoes, all Chubbs is is a place for you to post your writing on. As long as the desire to write continues, I wouldn't see Chubbs going anywhere.

I also think more credit should be given to the staff for even being willing to continue the mindless, redundant work they have to do.
