I think it's pretty obvious that Star Wars was blatantly racist. Dark Vader was the baddest, blackest mofo in the universe. He was a king among insects, imposing his will on all who dared to exist too close to his mighty blackness.

Then Empire came out and he became the slave of some old white guy. That was a blatant attack on all black people everywhere.

He became redeemed in Jedi since he obviously had plans to destroy the whitey and take his rightful place as the master of the universe, but then in the end his armor was cracked open... and there was a shriveled old white guy inside. This was obviously a political statement that, deep down inside, even the greatest of black people really wanted to be white. There should have been a million man march on Lucas' racist ass.
