I just did his aura with liquify first, after making a new layer, then I smudged the hell outta it and blurred like crazy to make it flow. But looking at your work on that Jeice Sig, yeah, VJ, you'd be a bit better to do the aura. If you need the psd file for it, and you got AIM, pm me and Ill get you my sn and I'll send it to you.

Another way for artistic people:

1) On a black background, use a normal round Brush with 0% hardness and 100% opacity to draw the aura.
2) Rotate the canvas 90 CCW, apply a Wind from the right to it and then a 1,0 Gaussian Blur.
3) Adjustments>Hue/Saturation, choose Colorize. Find the color you want with the Hue bar and then the brightness with the Saturation bar.
4) Rotate the canvas 90 degree CW to put it back.
5) Place that black+aura layer above your picture and apply a Screen/Color Dodge/Linear Dodge layerproperty to it.

Note that this was just a rough example. Its probably better to look very carefully at *real dbz aura's*, use a bigger and softer brush and draw the aura more detailed.
