Try going for what you want to buy with it (if you have anything in mind) and just purchase it pretending you have the points. Sometimes they need to be refreshed. If that's not working, a support ticket or a thread on the forums is probably the way to go.

Not sure if I got mine, haven't checked the log and didn't notice a number difference.

They've said copious amounts of times that it will eventually update, just not all at once. Be patient.

Increased AP ratios = bad?

Dark Wind bounces, at max rank, ten times right now. It's a buff to the low ranks, but a large nerf to later ranks.
Crowstorm, have to see numbers but my overall feel is that this is a nurf overall. Same with the heals on Drain and how high you have to go to get over 100%

Nah, man, awesome changes for Fiddle.
Dark Wind now gets 5 bounces at level 1. Right now it's an awful skill until about level 4 of it. With a "large increase to AP ratio" it also means it will scale even without levels. Amazing buff to that skill. Drain is probably going to break even. The % heal probably means it will heal for less in the early game, but all that means is playing him a little more defensively. Being able to scale it above 100% of the damage it deals in healing is just retarded. I definitely appreciate a range decrease to it. As it is now, Crowstorm really just stops being relevant after the 30 minute mark, which is dumb because it probably takes more preparation than any other ultimate in the game. A lot of effort for very little reward. And, of course, it almost requires taking and saving Flash to be able to actually LAND that stupid ult. Base stats are always awesome. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

I fucking hate myself.
I'm way too fucking hyper-aggressive and way too horrible at last-hitting. Four enemies chasing a friendly? Me and some guy trying to catch up? Even if the chased friendly was at full health, it's a 3v4, BUT LIKE A RETARD I TRY AND ENGAGE THE SQUISHY ANYWAY. This must be why I'm only half-decent with like Mundo and other super-forgiving champs and shit. ![]()

Even the best players fuck up a lot. The game becomes a lot more fun when you stop beating yourself every time you make a mistake. You don't have to buy into the "I MUST BE PERFECT AND WIN" mindset that so many players perpetrate by raging anytime anyone makes a mistake. I actually had some my team today say "I only have fun when we win" (they seemed angry even when we were winning), and I felt sorry for them.

Agreed. Sometimes I like to do my best and try to win, but every once in a while I just wanna relax and not give a shit. I don't feed, really, but I just like to farm and nab an easy kill every once in a while without stressing.

I'm fine with losing. I just can't stand being the reason we lost.
0-7-4 Mundo 4-14-10 Urgot 3-11-6 Jax 0-5-4 Shen Every game I just feel utterly powerless from start to finish. I can try to focus on CS and avoiding getting ganked, it doesn't matter. I just fucking eat it, over and over and over and over, in every fight, before I can kill anything or even get farmed up enough to GET something to help me survive. ![]()

Most of the time when I play, I have absolutely no problem fucking around in a Normal game even if we are getting stomped and just having a blast doing it, trying out all sorts of stuff and just enjoying the game.
This changes a lot in Ranked, because I don't tend to view it as "same as Normal but with draft mode, whatevs about the imaginary number lawl" because in that setting, its intended to be competitive. I play with the hopes of increasing my rating, especially when (due to the lowest rating on the team) I get to be last pick in any Ranked games of any kind. Its not so much of a deal due to the trading system, but I approach it differently for an actual Ranked game than Normal mode, because the great enjoyment comes from the competition and putting my best out there and seeing if that's enough, where its not so much about the characters themselves but my own performance in the arena AND in the proper bans AND in the appropriate counterpicks that will also synergize with the team while also being one of my best characters, whereas in Normal I'm just playing with the absolute enjoyment of having a blast with the different characters.

Was talking to Trygelan before he signed off last night. There are just some thing we need to do differently given everyone's preferred playstyle that we think could help our team overall.
I definitely appreciate that you want to be more serious in a more competitive environment. Generally I feel the same way. It's more interesting to test yourself against people who are actually trying than against people who are just dicking around. That said, it frustrates ME when people (and you're not the only one, by far) use that as an excuse to not leave their comfort zone to the detriment of the rest of the team. If the team needs a tank, it needs a tank. Someone has to suck it up and start learning to tank. If we have an AP carry, an AP support, and an AP tank, what we need is ANYTHING other than AP. That happened a couple times last night. Here's the other thing. Sorry if this sounds mean to anyone, but that's not the intent. We have like two people who can play a hard carry appropriately -- I'll call it two and a half -- and that's because the rest generally exercise poor judgment when playing those champions. If you're a squishy carry, stay in the back but remember to be aggressive. Don't over-commit for the sake of aggressiveness if your team isn't there to back you up. Don't wander to another lane or go back to buy if it means leaving your team without any damage. Don't be so aggressive you're the furthest forward in your team (part of that is on the tank, but if you're forcing them forward they're going to get rocked). Don't be so timid that it takes you five seconds to get into the team fight because you were so far back. Most importantly, though, and this goes to everyone, if two teams are dancing around in a lane BE PREPARED TO COMMIT. Multiple times when I was playing Cho I rupture/silenced into a team fight and said "ok, let's go" and guess what? I was dead before anyone else got into the fight. Or two people had already wandered off to somewhere else. If your team is in a stand-off like that, stay there and be paying attention. Yes, that may mean letting a tower take some minion damage. Yes that may mean waiting a minute or two to complete an item. Yes that may mean getting into a fight without getting Red/Blue/Dragon/whatever first. That's better than losing three teammates and consequently being able to do absolutely nothing to stop the enemy when they plow through two turrets. All of the above happened while playing last night. There was just some poor judgment. I did some of them myself, I'm not about to deny that. If I had been paying more attention as Cho, I might have seen someone had wandered off or that not everyone was as near as I thought they were. I was playing under assumptions I should not have been and that's just as dangerous as anything else. If anyone feels the need to come back and rationalize anything because they feel like they're being targeted, fine. You're welcome to explain why you thought you made the right call and then I'll come back and tell you why I thought you made the wrong one and we can go back and forth and waste our time pounding our heads against the wall. Instead, though, remember I'm trying to help people, not berate them. No one enjoys losing game after game. Even if you can tolerate it, no one LIKES it. I would absolutely love to see everyone here get better and us able to be reasonably competitive as a team. That would amazing. If I sound harsh during a game that's because I'm frustrated, but I hope everyone knows that my intention is ALWAYS to help. Having said all that, I'll be here if people want to play tonight. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

You guys should all really have a tank, an AD carry, an AP carry, a support and a jungler that you can play.
04-26-2011, 08:22 PM
You should actually have like, 2-3 of each in case one is banned/picked. I'm pretty sure I have all of them covered, especially casters.

John Doe Wrote:You should actually have like, 2-3 of each in case one is banned/picked. I'm pretty sure I have all of them covered, especially casters. That's an unreasonable amount of champions for someone to learn imo. If you have 5 champions (one for each role) that you are good with then between the other 4 people you should have it mostly covered. Obviously, if your tank is picked/banned then maybe someone else will have to fill the tank role. |
