It's because the mafia killed Ashe, and the vigilante (Mal) killed Doe.

I have no real opinion either way on Anzekay. I'll vote for him if it swings that way on the basis that, either way, I'm not digging our odds. We'll just have to cross our fingers that Mal kills a Mafia member if we screw up.

For some reason, my brain connected Ashe with the Vigilante. I have no idea why. That's just me... well... thinking poorly.

I would, though, contend that it's a forgone conclusion Mal is the Vigilante and killed Doe. If I'm mafia, I look at who I think will be the most outspoken or active of the townspeople. Those represent the largest threats you can accurately identify (Doctor and Vigilante are obviously the biggest threats). Killing the active players and leaving behind the people who are inactive or simply going along with whatever everyone else is makes for a very easy game. Doe was a good person to die for the mafia, regardless of who did it.

Yeah, it's entirely possible that it's just Mal killing Doe for the lawls, but Doe's death doesn't instantly point to anything.

I'm about to head off to Uni so I don't have much time here.

I'm actually pretty surprised that people are suddenly suspecting me, since if anything a mafia is going to be pretty happy with the idea of random lynching early on.

My reasons for actually agreeing to lynch someone today is that we need to do something, and with very few leads we may as well pick someone along the same criteria that Kaden suggested. Of course, the flip side to that is that if Kaden IS mafia, then it is in his interests to suggest someone he knows isn't mafia.

So, if keiko was to get lynched and turns out to be a townsperson, then the person who suggested keiko in the first place has a higher chance of being mafia. That's really all we have for leads, so it sounded like a plan to me. That, and I honestly find it hard to trust Kaden a lot considering his reputation in these games

That said, the more I think about it, the more possible it is that Mal Nova is either mafia or vigilante.

But that Kaden was planning on starting a lynch vote on keiko and then pull out later on? That's pretty dodgey too.

For now I am just going to Unlynch and see what else comes up while I am still at uni.

Which is actually what makes me suspect you as mafia. Mafia would know whether or not they should be lynching Keiko. You jumped right on the vote and then set me up to look like the obvious choice to kill next if she turns out to be a townsperson. Basically a three-for-one. Mafia kill Keiko, execute someone other than me, and then push for me to get lynched the following day because I got an innocent killed.

The flip-side of that, obviously, is that if Keiko is mafia, the other mafia would either defend her, lay low, or say just enough nothing to not attract attention one way or the other.

The former points to Anzekay and the latter points to 17.

There's more information to be had later on, but right now all we can do is work with what we have.

Lynch Anzekay, it seems to be the closest thing you to a concensus we can get. This night cycle'll be unpleasent. But hey, if the game doesn't end tonight, we'll have more to go off of after Mafia and Mal (you're something--you'll not be able to convince me otherwise) try their nefarious crap.

The townspeople had been rummaging through Anzekay's stuff for hours.

"There has to be something here," said one desperately. "There has to be."

But try as they might, nothing pointed towards Anzekay being part of the mafia. He was a townsperson.

Now, fully half of the town's numbers were mafia. The remaining townspeople's paranoia had hit breaking point, and rightfully so. They were up against the ropes, facing utter annihilation. Only a miracle could save them now.
