He gave no signal besides the inaudible movements that turned him away from his point, beginning a stroll in the opposite direction with little more then the whisper of ruffling grass beneath his feet.
"I'm taking off for a few, see ya." Glancing over his shoulder briefly towards the Namekian with nothing more then that, the hybrid left for the drifting pathways of the park.
"But-" Piccolo retorted before being interrupted by the hybrid's hand lifting in a slight wave as he continued walking.
The declining light's graze across a shimmering surface was the sight brought upon the hybrid as he approached the water's edge. A soft sigh left the Saiyan's lips which lingered in the air as a fine haze... It was nearing nightfall, the union of shadows and serenity, a nocturnal nemesis of sorts. He plopped down suddenly at the brink of the pond and leaned back onto an elbow as support, turned towards the growing twilight that was being reflected.
"Least it's not on some forsaken magma rock." Goten chuckled under his breath at some humorless memories harped upon at the thought. Another puff of warm air vacated the Saiyan's lungs as he fell to his back with eyes turned toward the sky, relaxing an arm behind his head.
Above it began to look more and more like evening... Reds, golds, oranges and yellows had fled from sight.
"Fade away the blue of drifting clouds, where's the brilliance you've renowned?" Nothing but aimless rambling filtered through the youth's head as he placed his free hand above himself, hand clasped tightly with a minor spark luminating within it.
"Release!" As if any sort of vocal command would worked he opened his hand to reveal the small glistening sphere of energy within his grasp. With apathy to his creation he gave the slightest push, the ball wound itself around his opened hand before taking place back within his palm.
The halfling narrowed his eyes in anticipation while an unarticulated zipping noise suppressed his boredom before a puff released the compound ki that his little orb had been composed of. About him hovered remains of the explosion... small, faintly lambent specks danced about effortless against the dark twilight.
For a while he stared up at the sky and didn't want to get up. This place touched serenity... Almost invoking one to remain reticent holed into themselves... The Saiya-jin pulled himself up onto his side, glancing over the side of the pond into the waters to see himself in the waving mirror. That newest Goten stared back at him for a long while... Still, he couldn't get over the fact of how quickly he had aged within that little time spent... a quiver in the waters echoed through the length of the surface as a small fish pushed itself by beneath the glassy veneer.
He rolled over onto his back, eyes closing tightly as his palms pressed against his face in a minor attempt to suppress a yawn. Goten pulled himself up off the ground and took a moment to glance at the falling pieces of grass from his clothing glide down into the pond, simply caught in the drift of the wind...
