Super Buu's funny, and not in the way he was aiming for.

Well, Dante played it fair. I mean, no doubt of that.

It's just disappointing that this is the way it goes.

You're right. The 1000 extra men had nothing to do with it. Tongue

And I was more making fun of the whole moral superiority thing. That, even though it was 2v1, I'm not expecting to see any IC shame for these tactics. Pretty much the only character I've seen show remorse was KV, but that was more to do with killing Vegeta.

I don't particularly care, I just find the patterns amusing.

What immorality has my character shown? Is that the point your making? Please elaborate.

I don't understand where the obvious frustration is coming from.

Show me a roleplay where I mercilessly slaughter someone.

It's not like Broli's going to feel bad about actually fighting his enemies.

Edit: And gee, amazing that a character built on honor, loyalty, and battle would look negatively on his opponents running away.

Furthermore, on the topic of killing Vegeta, Broli is killing to eliminate people from the game.

Killing someone is one less threat.

I would hand the "mercilessly slaughter" category over to Minoshia who's chopping people down from limb to limb. No offense evil Mino.

That sentence didn't make sense. =O

But regardless, Vegeta pretty much summed up what I meant. By all means, kill people, 'cause that's what the game is about. But Broli seems to always be proud of it, which is a different story altogether. Like there's some awesome moral justification.

IC, nobody is in this game for a 'good' reason, besides I'd say Kakarot, who was tricked into entering to 'protect his family' (which reflects his characters' naievety somewhat). IC, it's a gameshow. It's basically for the money and bloodlust.

And yeah, it seems like regardless of what happens, Broli has some moral reason for it. It's zany, and it never changes. If he's built on loyalty, honour and battle, why would he challenge 17 two-on-one? I'm all for strategy, but don't pretend your character's personality is still intact at the end of it.

Take for example, 17's fight against Mino. He could have skipped it or overwhelmed the dude with numbers whilst he convinced Rad to join. He didn't - he made it a duel, to settle a past IC dispute. Sure, United caught up with him because of it, but I doubt he'd have it any other way, because let's be frank; the fight was awesome.

Morality involves right and wrong. If you're going to accuse my character of being flawed, make sure you're attributing the correct characteristic.

Broli is proud of winning. He is built on honor, and therefore is proud when his men defeat another army. I don't see what's so hard to understand. So what if I've made Broli out to be a glory-seeking Saiyan? What that who he was at the start? Yes. Is that who he still is? Of course, and that much is obvious.

And please, don't act like a two on one with 17 is like attacking an innocent puppy. He has nearly twofold mine and Vejita's powers combined. My character went into the fight with the ideal of sacrificing himself to buy time for the rest of the group. I honestly thought that I was going to die. Vejita jumped to my aid, not because we're ganging up on 17, but because that's just how the storyline has played out. So, please, don't talk to me like my character's been a coward for accepting Vejita help for someone as strong as 17.

Oh, and just in case I didn't get the point across, redefine your issue with me. Throwing out the moral card isn't really cutting it, especially when you blame morality as an issue and then support it with something else altogether.

HF was using sarcasm, too. It made perfect sense.

Putting aside all the stuff about morality and ethics you crazy kids are debating, I stand by that statement. I so would have fought you two dudes (KV and Broli, obviously) under any other circumstance had, y'know, the situation not turned into a whole lotta "omgwtf tarter sauce >_<"

Maybe in some other venue you two can have a go at me? *is being serious* =)

I understood that he was being sarcastic. I was pointing out that his sentence didn't make sense grammatically speaking. Tongue

I was making a joking prediction that Broli would have a selective ignorance of United's involvement in the victory in order to keep his pride/glory intact. Those kind of reactions, thus far, have been consistent. Maybe I'm wrong, and you won't roleplay that. It's just my estimate.

If you want to roleplay your character being self-deluding, that's cool. SB often used to do that, being the impulsive moron that he is. But when you then try to explain his actions as honourable, I get confused.

But now we're wandering into the realms of moral debate, as to 'what is honour' and all that jazz. I don't think we're going to see a winner here, so I'm going to step out. We'll see, but in the meantime (until the aftermath of the battle) I'm sticking to those guns.

You wouldn't know this, but I actually already took IC measures for my entire army right after I made the first post challenging 17. So, no, I wasn't risking total confusion amongst my army. Everyone knew that I had a very likely chance to die, and everyone knew what to do should that happen.

You guys are going all over the place. First, you have a problem with my character's attitude, apparently with being able to kill as many people as he does. When that was knocked down, it's suddenly on the topic of 17 and how it's not fair that he was double teamed and how that's opposite of how my character's personality should act, because apparently you guys know exactly how Broli should act. I don't know, but King Vejita, being someone that Broli nearly died for, arriving to fight for Broli as a brother even if it meant death, is nothing near dishonorable.

^Directed to Vegeta^

To Supes:

Sure, Broli may give more credit to his own force than to United. I think we're having an issue of confusing strategic tactics with honor or the lack of. I've obviously possessed a lack of clarity on my part, as it's disturbed you and Vegeta enough to have obviously been iffy about my character's development for however long. And sure, that may be something that I need to work on. Am I seeing it from anyone other than the two of you? Not really, so I'm not sure where the real issue lies. Sorry if my character has offended anyone.

To 17:

I'll take you up on that sometime. I look forward to it, as when I said I thought I was going to die, I meant it. I think you're a great roleplayer.

Edit: To be honest, I think another issue lies in the fact that I honestly have no idea what kind of character I want Broli to be.

My original criticism remains the one I stand by now. I didn't change my argument at all, I only elaborated on it because you asked me to. >_>

Edit: If you want to PM or IM me, I'd be happy to talk about it. But I wanna try and keep theatrics off the boards, otherwise Burter will stab me, and Reijin will jump in with a sarcastic comment which will cause mass controversy, and amidst the confusion Hellfighter will impulse ban me and Celipa will dispute my ban, leading to disparity between staff members, which will culminate in a kind of drama apocalypse. So yeah. Tongue

Someone tell Reijin to roleplay. To my knowledge, he's the only one who hasn't and it's showing

I had one up just before getting there, and each time I went to post, my unit then moved and I had to find out what was going on. I asked Broli earlier today, and he said he'd make a post to clear things up. My gf then wanted to use the computer since it was her bday to look some things up and I just finally was able to get on. I'm going to be putting up several roleplays tonight, I hope. The suddenly gasm of postwhoring tonight just kinda caught me off guard.

Thank you, Burter!

I was dreading that Super Buu and Broli resolving their little dispute peacefully and publically would lead to a certain lasting decorum.

I am glad that this suspicion was unfounded.

Well, since you guys seem to be admitting the unevitable that you're going to die(well, I do see the odds stacked obviously>_>), I just wanted to say it was great strategizing against you guys. I mean in all honesty, I felt like Outcasts were a big threat with your activity. The cocky crap that happened OOC was purely strategy, and nothing more. I personally don't take this competition very seriously at all, but tried to play the game as much as possible. I know this is incredibly random, but I just felt that I should say it since I felt like the entire game you guys saw us as cocky bastards. I apologize for that, it was ONLY strategy.

In terms of me playing my character, that post was incredibly rushed and really didn't get the time it deserved for explaining. But throughout this competition I've been trying to push KV into an evil character, completely evil. Example: Watching Vejita as he was killed by Reijin and basically doing something I never would have RPed KV doing ever: allowing his own blood to be killed or harmed. So at this point, KV isn't at all honorable because he's driven by lust of blood. However, I do feel like it was justified otherwise because of what Broli basically said - KV had finally accepted Broli as a equal after seeing what type of leadership skills he held in DA:C. Throughout the time that he knew King Vejita, Broli was pretty much "serving" his king so because of this he saw him as a servant or a just a mere soldier.

I hate to restart the whole arguement, but I felt like I had to put my two cents in. =O
