Er, well, let me try to sum things up:

The stat system on Chubbs currently is not working. We're having to disregard stats completely in every saga, just so that Rad and Rei and all of the other superpowers can't simply walk in, sneeze, and kill everyone. We're having a stat reset so that the playing field will be leveled, and to modify the way stats work so that such a power gap will (hopefully) not happen again.

However, if people keep their powerups, it's not a reset. People are already starting off with a huge advantage over other people. And if we lose stats, it doesn't make much more sense to keep the powerups.

Some people's storylines (such as my own) will be compromised by the loss of a powerup. For example, the only reason in my character's history that Android 20 is now the dominant mentality is because of my first tier powerup. However, I fully support this change, regardless of the fact that it does compromise my old storyline. But in it's place, I have come up with a new possible storyline for how my character will unfold that seems even better in my opinion. I can't say I can speak for everyone, but as of late, powerups are simply something that cannot coincide with a reset by it's very nature and point.

There are probably other reasons, but that's one of the big ones I see currently.

Twenty, I do believe you, as staff has always been reliable on this site; I do not need the quote right now, but if it could be given at some point to me via this thread or, preferably, via PM. I just see no way that the statement in the first post that there will be no inconsistencies with histories can be resolved unless you have some sort of saga that will make everybody weary and tired and lose the power ups, or we just let the canons keep them.

Since this was never concisely answered:

Don't worry. We know we have to do something about these powers and stuff. We're planning something. From what I understand, Reijin and I -both- have ideas, and several more are being discussed atm.
