Rafael Wrote:Eh, I do that too. If you're not gonna win and it's not even close, why not?
I one hundred percent agree with what Kaden said. That being stated, one thing that does cause a problem is the "self fulfilled prophecy", that goes as follows. The 20 minute marker arrives and a team of Mordekaiser, Jarvan, Taric, Mundo, and LeBlanc have absolutely dominated the early game, pushing their way to all three inhibitor towers while a team of Tristana, Cho'gath, Master Yi, Kog'maw, and Lux have not taken any enemy towers. The first team is up on kills at 14-4.
There are a few things to take into consideration here. First is team makeup. The first team is very strongly suited to a heavy "push the shit out of these towers early game" strategy. They are not gear dependent, but and have lots of ability to just kill any singled out defender early, allowing them to gain specific lane domination if they are roaming enough. Most of their kills came from repeated 4/5 vs 2/3 ganks while the other lanes tried to farm, given that the second team benefits much greater from gear in the late game.
A lot of those kills didn't happen in actual team fights but instead in the early game, where one fragment was larger than another. The second team does have Kog'maw that will be able to chip away at their tanky dps as well as Tristana and Yi who can get a Black Cleaver and Bloodrazor. The second team will scale much better into the late game, and is only behind on kills because they are much worse in small fights than their opponents. Positioning will be absolutely key in the larger team fights if they make it there.
So now we have to figure out... Will the second team be able to at least slow the rate of decay down enough to stabilize and then begin outscaling their opponents in time to prevent a loss by attrition? Or are they hopelessly outclassed in general?
This doesn't matter because as soon as 20 minutes hits, Kog'maw sends a surrender vote that goes 3-2. He doesn't afk or rage, but "knowing the loss is inevitable", he goes on tilt and doesn't pay much attention to his positioning or timing in fights, getting him regularly caught by Taric's stun into a quick death while doing next to no damage. He sends a surrender vote every 5 minutes because "the team is just too far behind, they are too fed, my team sucks too much". Finally, they do lose, and Kog'maw walks away with the impression that "Ugh, why couldn't we just surrender at 20 and move on to the next game instead of sticking around for the obvious loss?" oblivious to the fact that his demoralizing presence and terrible positioning from this frustration played its part.
Does this mean that team 2 was going to win if Kog had his shit together? No, we can't really say that. We don't know if team 2 had ignites for Mundo, had other ways of affecting the fights, had good ward placement and positioning outside of the Kog's moves, etc. It could have been decisive, it could have been salvageable, but having Kog basically "give up" at the 20 minute mark and stop caring, even if he didn't afk, didn't help things at all.

We played a game exactly like that. I go immediately from typing my previous post to playing that game and got a lot of entertainment from that fact.
Even with all of the above stated, it's not like every game is worth sticking it out. Plenty of them aren't.

I love the game where the other team is the perfect counter to your team.

Mumble? Can someone guide me on how to connect with you guys there? I've never used it.
EDIT:
I'm pretty terrible at the game itself, but a lot of this probably stems from not having any friends in the game. I'm working solely off of logic sense, the game's website and FAQ, and the wikia. I'd love to have some mentorship.

Well I played the Basic combat game...And I LOST!!!
It took 35 minutes but I lost! =(
I had Garen... and his big sword made me want to chase after the people over and over and over...
it was 6/7/2 and a few of the deaths were me just being stupid and wondeirng what an inhibitor looked like. I did kill 1 of their turrets.. ( I was going to kill another but I had to not die... A minion blew it up.
But the bots on Top and Mid sucked =(
I dont think I was suppose to used all the attacks I could at once... and still think I need a better mouse... still bought a thing or two I didnt need.
BUT! I learned buying Regen stuff with Garen lets you be able to stay close and heal and get XP =D
So what did I do wrong for a first timer aside from lose?

Hey can someone help me out with getting onto mumble?
Man alone measures time.
Man alone chimes the hour.
And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear no other creature endures.
A fear of time running out.

Just so I'm clear on this, and yeah I'm still reading the rules, does getting AP make WW's Q and R stronger? I dont think it would make his W actually stronger would it, like make his hits stronger for the 10 second period?
And I keep seeing AoE. I cant remember what it means.

Pretty much how this works, is if the skill has a number in green parentheses, it's boosted by ap, and orange for AD. Magewick I have not seen do well outside of ARAM though

AoE = Area of Effect
ARAM = All Random, All Middle
ARAM is a fan created game mode that requires everyone to select a random champion and all go to the middle lane and just duke it out until one team takes the nexus.

usually whichever team gets Fiddle(There's always one, always).
Also, since I just realized I didn't answer the direct part of your question: Yes, Q gets boosted, although AP is a troll build generally on WW, but I'm pretty sure his R scales from attack damage(it does like, X% of his attack damage per hit).
And for W, no, it just makes him and nearby allied champs attack faster for a bit. Quite strong.

I'd have to go into a game to see that...
and MageWick?
I'm only using Warwick as a example because he's been the only one I really play with(I've played mostly in bot games and thats usually just to get the FWD.) right now and I figure I'd better get a better standing with him before the others....

Also... his W... Does it affect the allied champs that are in range when its activated, or can it get activated and they come into range afterwards and get affected?

Ah. Certain champs have nicknames of a sort for odd builds, Magewick for instance being a WW that builds AP as opposed to more traditional gear. Yuo may also see Lanewick for a WW that isn't jungling, Jihadmaw for Kog'maws with high movespeed builds as I understand(not really something I recommend) and a few more I can't think of atm.
Other times it's simply something like AP Yi, which is pretty self explanatory
For your second post, it's only those in range on cast

I'm not much of a jungler tbh, but if no one's gotten to this by the time I get home I'll find you some resources

Well, here's what I've got:
Warwick is one of the few junglers you don't have to be higher-levelled and runed up with to use successfully because of his built in lifesteal.
What I do at least, with modest success, is start at the regular golems with cloth armor, a mana pot and like, 2 red pots I think. I open on one golem with smite and auto attack for a sec until I take some damage, then just spam Q every cd until they're both dead. That should level you. Take W. I then go to wraiths, open with Q and activate W, focusing the big wraith first. Then I do wolves and B.
I forget what I buy form here, but I believe I get whatever I can toward's Madred's, then head to your blue golem. Take out the little minions first, then wear out the big guy. Then, red and depending on how everywhere else is going, I either reclear/clear the other side or try and help a lane out, which is only kind of useful until lvl 6.
Like I said, I don't jungle much and I expect both Tryg to come in here and call me a fksuk noob and everyone who's played with me jungling to suddenly understand why ganks take so long to arrive, but it'll get you through the jungle.
if nothing else, I'd be happy to join you in a custom game and help you out
