If you guys have a problem with it, then don't RP here. There's really nothing else to tell you.

If all you're going to do is complain, do it somewhere else. As the forum name implies, this is for actual questions.

I don't know, but I think that's a really neat idea.

It couldn't possibly take more than a few minutes to write up if we wanted one. I'll do it after I RP. And after I finish the descriptions for our <insert classified bs line here> system. Which I keep forgetting to do. If Rad remembers what I'm talking about he'll kick me. =(

I have a question! *raises hand impatiently*

Would I be able to use 'Buukin as an NPC even though I'm no longer active with him even before the reset?

A common human stronger than a player character?

Besides that, it's not a bad list, aside from most commoners being universally overpowered. I would change it extensively, to be honest.

'Course, none of this matters until we figure out what our scale is. ^_^;;

Probably not, Yamu, but we can try to give you a case-by-cas answer when the situation arises

Ah. I was intentionally vague about that. In addition to the six stats each character has, there are three sub-stats. Weapon Skill is one such stat. These stats are kind of like a mini-powerlevel. They're basic summations of your character's overall ability in various areas. They're also fit into various abilities in one way or another. The sub-stats are Fighting Ability, Ki Manipulation, and Weapon Skill.

So, based off the Tsufuru-jin thing, Will there be a penalty for every bonus(duh question), also, will certain races have average marks across the board so theyre adept in all of them(Human / Other generic race)?

Also, will the grade we get for role playing be based on a person-to-person basis, or on a general scale of good / bad?

Yes. Staff have said they wont do anything w/ our current canons unless we ask them to.

More or less. It doesn't exactly work out so there's one con for every pro, but its all balanced out. And yes, the Generic race is the "average" race.

On a general scale. We trust all of the staff to be objective enough to give a rough judgement of quality.

If ya want your custom to be an offspring of your character, can you have your character's significant other be a different race? As in, Olibu having a lady friend of teh Saiyan race, so his offspring would be half saiyan?

You can be a hybrid, but you have to select which is your dominate side.

Like, if you wanted to roleplay as a half-saiyan/half-earthling, you'd have to pick either Saiyan or Generic as your true race for the sake of fitting into the system. The same would go with Cyborgs ('half'-androids/'half'-otherthing).

I believe that's how it works. If I forgot or misrelated something, I'm sure another staffer will swoop in, bitch slap me, and set you straight >_>

Generic Power Levels of random individuals on the races are basically your starting stats for non combatant people.

For soldiers and others, we'll probably handle it when it comes up in different ways.

This was probably answered long before I even rejoined or maybe I'm simply a slow learner, but why aren't we keeping the option of being a canon character open? As long as people are willing to work off of what the previous owner used the character for (if they are even still around), and the previous owner doesn't care if the canon character is used why can't people join as a canon later on?

Sorry for the double post but I just thought of something else. Will the current alliance be rolled over with the reset? Or will they be whipped out as well like the current canon characters?

I think most of it had to do with the inconsistancies of various canon owners. Despite whether or not a person agrees to continue with a previous owners history, the character simply isn't the same and the entire process seems unfair to both the new owner (due to the lack of creative freedom) and the integrity of the original character.

But if they are willing to due it that way isn't that up to the individual (or individuals if the former owner is still playing)? I'm not trying to start something I'm just curious why it's not allowed if all parties involved have no problem having it that way.

What Aqua was saying is that we've had the exact scenario you just proposed, but it didn't work out. We've had people agree to continue on and it still didn't work out. What you have to understand is that changing something about an established cannon character doesn't just affect you. It affects everyone who has a relationship with that character.

A perfect example is a previous roleplaying experience I had with Coola. Raditzu has a long established and diverse history with the old Koola. Now someone else RPs Coola and they just pretend that that history never happened. How does that fit into the rest of the RPG? Suddenly all the saga-level fights we've had mean nothing? Koola helping to take over the planet Earth is just whipped away? It doesn't jive.

Disallowing characters to play cannons with established history serves as a method of ensuring stability and consistency with the Chubbs universe as well as serves as a mark of respect to the work and development that people have already put into their characters. Retiring a character used to be reserved as a significant honor for a Chubbs member. We're extending this honor to everyone who contributed to the Chubbs universe up to this point.

Hmm interseting. So basically right now I'm screwing up Minoshia's character since I'm not rolepalying him like he was roleplayed before. Had I known that I would have joined as Zorn, or Captain Kale.

You aren't "screwing it up," you're just putting your own interp on it but in so doing a flaw in the current system is highlighted. That flaw is one which the staff has worked to get rid of by instituting the new set of canon rules.

Hmmm well maybe I'll just switch characters then to Zorn or Captain Kale out of respect for the original Mino. I'v looked at some of the stuff he has done here and he is a big player in the sights history. Quite honestly the way I'm playing Mino is nothing like how he was played before, so maybe I should just switch out of respect for Mino and just to keep everything "equal" in a historical context.
