Until a pro does something, it tends to not be worth trying to get people to accept you doing. Examples being if you pick two AP, you will still end up with someone picking a bruiser and calling top, reciting that "wtf its bruiser top noob have fun supporting" (referring to pugs, obviously, not that Civik game just to be clear). You can't get people to accept a change in the meta until it cleans a tourney up, then suddenly everyone swears by it and you suck because they've always felt that way.

Shortly after riven came out I was playing her tons with you guys and everyone was all "yeah she's meh", that kept up even after she got those tweaks/buffs.

Then suddenly she's openly super strong and then everyone takes notice of her

You and Dan Dinh would make great friends... It's quite funny, I know like two Heimerdinger mains, you and this other guy and man are you both passionate about that yordle fuck. He's always going on about how Heimer is fucking baws. I accept that though because I main Pantheon, another "bad" champion.

It's important to point out that unless people are vocal about where they're going, the current meta is assumed to hold. Meaning, if someone takes Caitlyn, I'm not immediately assuming that she's countering the Tryn up top. I'm assuming she's going bot.

If you pick two APs, make your intentions known (even though people SHOULD know that Ryze is going top if an AP mid has already been picked, it definitely doesn't hurt to make it obvious) and your teammate still decides to be a dick, then RNG fucked you over.
