What do you guys think about the Teddy Bear Bomb? It was always designed to be a free life, so if you were gonna die, it would give you an insane injury and let you keep playing.

In this case though, Bardock got all the way to the final three before I killed him off, so the teddy bear bomb effectively won the game.

Is it a cheat? Too powerful? Or was Bardock just lucky/that good?

I think Bardock earned first place, with or without the teddy bear.

That "weapon" is hella powerful, no question. In the specific situation of Bardock winning because of it, yeah it sucks for me and Yamu, but it was Bardock's writing and strategy that got him to the finale with it in the first place.

It's just ironic that the first time you put that specific weapon in the game, its used to its absolute extreme effectiveness. I'm sure there were plenty of people who were thinking it was bullshit (I genuinely wasn't one of them, though I know how that sounds).

The teddy bear's power is balanced by the chance of getting it. If an NPC got, it wouldn't have done jack shit, comparatively.

I'd like to say something like "it shouldn't count once the finale starts" but, again, its up to whoever gets to actually make it into the finale. And its not like the weapon can really be stolen, so one of the stronger competitors can't just go hunting for it.

The pros and cons balance themselves out.

The teddy bear with Bardock was sheer luck, nothing overpowered. It should still stay.

Dont worry about it man, just go in and have fun. Burter and others will be willing to aide you if the need be. I remember when I first participated in DA I was kind of confused but its really easy, not to mention hell of a time, once you get the grasp of it.

The fact that I got the teddy bear bomb was the luck of the draw (and definitely ironic), but it had me on edge trying to keep it as long as I could. Any wrong move would have used it up. My whole run last year was trying to make the best of accident and luck. Burter told me it wasn't intended for the stronger contenders, and he's right, which is why I think it should stay. It changed the game for me, and it can change the game for someone who really needs that chance.

For pre-show, I'll open the forum up on May 1st. All discussion will go in there to hype us for about 2 1/2 weeks till sign-ups.

I'll open up rping forums for DA conventions, autograph signings, television interviews and so forth in case anybody who is bored wants to really start rping early for DA. I reccomend not doing it too early though because the game doesn't start until 25 days AFTER May 1st.
