I'm going to agree with this. I'm almost convinced everybody who went to see these two batman movies had dopimene injected straight into their bloodstream at the theaters, it's the only explanation.

Benjamin Parker and JM Barrie. Two completely different characters Depp as portrayed in completely different ways.

Jack Sparrow and that guy whose name I can't remember from Secret Window. Two different characters.

Willy Wonka and Edward Scissorhands.

I find it very difficult to find any real similarities between these characters that actually rests upon Depp's acting ability and not a screenwriter or director.

And Underoo, I still think you're so incredibly wrong about TDK. It's got 94% on RottenTomatoes thus far, and while I'm not one to proclaim this as a sole factor for marking a good or bad movie, it's still something to keep in mind. You're welcome to keep your opinion, you're welcome to not like something that the masses apparently and obviously do, but it's starting to become a little worn out. You're cool. We see this.

TDK is an incredibly successful movie widely hailed in many different publications, major and minor, as the greatest superhero movie of all time, and the most important movie of the year thus far. If you do not like it, you are merely the exception, and not the rule everyone else is to be judged by.

I realize you're mostly joking, but when you joke for weeks, it becomes tired, and irritating.

And seeing a thread about an awful movie that just refuses to die isn't getting old?

The cast is chalked full of B-movie actors, save for Freeman who is the only quality name, and the one other guy who is now dead. The action and story is hardly any less silly than the ones Joel Schumacher directed or the gifs I've posted, but at least they had detective elements whereas in TDK they simply do not exist.

CRASH WHOOO, HERE'S THE NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN DEVICE WE'VE BEEN WORKING ON FOR YEARS THAT UTTERLY REPLACES THE NEED FOR SMART PLOT DEVELOPMENT, EXPLOSION BLARG, ROLL CREDITS.

That, to me, sums up TDK pretty well. Tout the popularity all you want, it only reaffirms my belief that people in general are stupid.
