Anybody been to Andale yet? It's, uh...creepy.

Def. getting Grim Reaper's Sprint. Nigh infinite VATS ftw.
The exploring one is damn near useless, since in a month or two I guarantee a map will be on GameFAQs (if it even takes that long). ![]()

Where is Andale? I think it might be on m'map.
...Wait. Is that the town who won 'best town USA' or whatever? It's, yeah, pretty fucked up if that's the case. Been deliberately avoiding any strategy info, though. Trying to do as much as I can by myself, first. Then I'll cheat to find the remaining quests. :p ![]()

It'll be pretty much as long as it takes for someone with the PC Version to get the Explorer perk. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... Now that I'm level 19, I decided it might be a good time to start "Scientific Pursuit."
I ran into a normal Super Mutant and lawled his head off in one shot. It was awesome. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

I just got to the Citadel and learned Power Armor. wewt.

Lvl 14 ftw. Main Quest remains virtually untouched. Made it to GNR, did some stuff, ignored dear ol Dad.
I prefer not going ahead and getting omnipotent just yet. Maybe after I complete Moira's Survival Guide, which I constantly put off since I hate her so much. It does amuse me how she believes there's nothing wrong with using a human being as an experimentation tool, though. I get so mad at her... but I need to find out what happens next.=\ Also, Lincoln's Repeater is fucking awesome. ![]()

Waffuru Wrote:I just got to the Citadel and learned Power Armor. wewt. wtf, how did you get them to let you in? They just look at me like I'm an idiot if I walk up. Jackasses. EDIT: And just to confirm, Moira's an annoying twat and the repeater is badass. Finally a reason to use my 44 ammo. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. Raditzu Wrote:wtf, how did you get them to let you in? The main story will bring you there and get you entry. btw, if you like Combat Shotguns, kill Smiling Jack in the Evergreen Mills when you find him. He carries one called "The Terrible Shotgun" but it's like twice the dmg of a normal combat shotgun. Plus, then you can raid all his vendor wears, take back any caps you spent on him (for say, repairing all your equips) and not even lose any karma because he's a douche anyways.

Update: Plasma weapons are badass. I feel totally justified for having to put up with the laser weapons after getting my hands on a Plasma Rifle. Grim Reaper Sprint is equally badass.
That is all. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

I haven't had a chance to play the game yet, and it'll probably be another month at least before I'm able to. But just to get an idea, does it play similar in style to Oblivion as far as open world goes? I'm assuming the combat is more like the later Might&Magic games, although I doubt many would catch the reference.

Reijin Wrote:does it play similar in style to Oblivion as far as open world goes? Yup. Combat is actually pretty similar to Oblivion as well. Instead of magic and bows you have guns, though. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

After approx 50 hours of deliberately ignoring the main quest and doing other stuff, the story has come to a close. To say my character was "epic good" would be an understatement.
Kind of an underwhelming ending, though. Could've elaborated on the stuff you did, not just the blanket call thing. For a game that claims to have like 200 endings, I'm less than convinced. There's not enough specificity for that. And there's so much I still haven't done yet. O.o Mostly because I don't know what metros to take to where. ...Speaking of which. Does anybody have a map that lists that stuff specifically? Like a metro route map. What connects to where type deal. I know they exist in-game but it'd be nice to have the real deal. Especially if it was overlaid onto the world map. Also, fuck Fawkes. Why couldn't he do it? It's not like it would have bothered him in the slightest. >=o ![]()

There's not enough specificity for that. I was a little underwhelmed as well. The idea of the ending is really cool, but it's not conveyed that well. As for the 200 endings, I assume different quests have different slides if you complete them in different ways. I got a slide showing a perfectly fine Megaton, for example. I'd assume that it shows you a huge-ass crater if you decided to blow it up. From that perspective, it's easy to see how there could be 500 different sets of slides for it to show you at the end. I hated having a follower, Fawkes notwithstanding. They just got in my, set off mines, pissed off animals, and shot me in the back. Unloading five VATS shots into the back of Paladin Cross' head because she decided to step in front of me at the last second was the last straw. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. Yeah but they could have like, given a synopsis, y'know?
"Megaton survived. That guy's cool." "Megaton's a hole now. That guy's a dick." Still, great game. ![]()

Then they'd have to pay someone to narrate all the different possibilities. Which would be kinda =( for them.
Awesome game. No doubt. I'm planning on playing through with a Melee character. I imagine it's going to be significantly harder. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine." |
