Screw XIII, this looks like the jewel of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series to me. Seriously this is gonna make me go out and buy a PS3.

Looks like just another Final Fantasy to me.

I don't give a crap what the graphics or combat system is. As long as the characters seem like the same flat, boring cardboard cutouts that I've seen in every other FF, I'm not going to buy it.

(Of course, I could never justify buying a PS3 to myself in the first place, so.)

Final Fantasy is great, when they aren't resting on their laurels (which can overlap a lot with their strong sense of tradition). I still hold FFX as one of the greatest games ever made.

And as long as nothing has changed recently, FFXIII is not exclusive, but FFXIII Versus is.

There are two FF titles that didn't suck. X was one of them.

The series in general sucks. I mean, come on. Aeris' death is held up as one of the most moving events in the entire series, and she was basically just an extra. You spend like an hour with her and *stab!*

Yeah, I was real attached to that nobody.

The worst part is the setting was awesome. And it was all wasted on such a stupid plotline. At least X-2 was a complete throwaway. You didn't feel bad to ignore that. Or IX. Or XI. Or XII. Etc.

FFX, FFIX, FFVIII, and Final Fantasy: Crisis Core are on my 'good' list. I still haven't played FF6.

As far as rpgs go, Final Fantasy is the creme de la creme, imho. I've only played 1, 2, first halfs of 7 and 8, and FFX... oh and crisis core, and both the tactic games.

I've enjoyed all of them that I've played, which literally comes down to every one of them with the exception of... No, I've played them all at some point. I just haven't actually beaten every one of them. VIII was one that I had a hard time getting into, and not because of the usual complaints. I was more frustrated with the mechanics. See, I was pretty turned off by "You get special shit from finding these magazines, and they are kinda important, but we give you zero ways of noticing these magazines. Just click randomly." That shit worked in 2d when it wasn't that much, but in that game it didn't.

Either way, I'm disappointed that Vs is exclusive, given that PS3 is actually last on my list of systems I want (not saying its horrible, I like it, but I actually feel 360 beats it now, though I hated the original. 1 is Wii, and a DS is up there as well).

I actually haven't played Crisis Core nor the FPS one with Vincent, now that I think about it. Due to being exclusive to random shit.

But yeah, the FF:Legends series and the FF: Adventures games for the gameboy, played those. Even though none of those are true FF games in Japan... One is actually a Saga Frontier series and the other is a Seiken Densetsu game, oddly enough. Mystic Quest was pretty fun, actually.

The GBA one was a bit, meh. But War of the lions was epic. Probable the FF game that I most enjoyed playing, funnily enough. I really need to replay it sometime.

An extra, who is with the party for the large majority of the first disk, who is the last remaining (naturally-born) member of the Cetra, who was the reason the group raided the Shinra building in the first place, who was the planet's only true hope of salvation, who drove large portions of the game's plot even after her death, who directly influences events in Advent Children, and who is (arguably) Cloud's primary love interest.

Final Fantasy 6 is the best RPG ever made, Final Fantasy is one of the best JRPG series the only other ones that match up is Dragon Quest and Star Ocean.
