New Reset Realm/Android Development
#1
Basically my idea consists of another realm to be added to this game.

Binary Universe

This realm is for Androids when they die. Basically, by paying a nominal fee, the Android gets a chip, that wirelessly transmits data to this database when it is destroyed. Could incorporate the scouter Q-Wave technology already here.

Basically, it involves android oriented quests for them to pursue and do instead of the after life stuff. This opens the door for more Android development, like abilities and power ups, that Flesh and blood characters couldn’t access.

Eventually, a system could be installed that would convert a player who wanted, to binary code, allowing for example, Toma, access to this world. All he could do is the quests and earn money, but the abilities and such, would be restricted somewhat to androids. No reason to not have some available to Non androids, because the world could be linked to archives all over the game’s universe. Allowing data research.

Also, involve a quest to gain access to the chip seller.

Basically, the man selling the chip for the androids, is only accessible via a quest. Like Kaioken is. But at the end, the Android learns Basic Programming 1, and recieves the ability to buy the chip from the Shop board.

The programming skill would allow the Android to interact and function in the Binary Universe. Since it’s all code, they would need knowledge of how it works, to adequately function. Same for non-androids.

More development to come. C&C Appreciated. Thanks.

I like it, though for the chip would they have to purchase it and would they have to unlock it? For the universe would it be created by a Kai who knows a lot about technology and stuff? Would be interesting if it were.
#3
Yeah I move quick when I'm on a roll. Here is more development.

Narrative Ideas

The chip would not require unlocking. Once integrated into the person’s systems, it monitors vitals. When the processor sends the death signal, the last communication before death of the Android, it transmits data to the BU or Binary Universe. The chip functions by literally recording the Androids progress.

The chip, being about the size of a grape, fits into the chest of the android. One activated it begins its recording process. A new one is needed for each new body the android gets. If an Android doesn’t have the chip, they can’t enter BU, which means they go to the normal afterlife. The Binary Universe is an alternative path, for development purposes.

Created by a Kai named Leon, who disguised himself as a human electronics engineer, he became fixated with technology and he strived to actually create a virtual dimension. He succeeded, and it was copied and shipped to every star system who wanted it. The databases were switched on, and the world was created.

Actual quests and world boundaries can created after initial construction of this idea is done.

Again, C&C welcomed. Staff input greatly wanted and appreciated.

Sounds pretty solid.

After death, when the Android is introduced into BU for the first time, they are brought to a central database. Their information is called up, and a digital image of their body is awarded to them. Good and Evil characters, there is no discrimination.

Both alignments get equal treatment since the computer controls the environment. If someone decided to cause a problem for the system, system guards called IPS’ would intervene.

IPS = Internet Protocol Sentry/ IP Sentry for short.

The computer can increase the power of the sentries at will. If you’re the world’s ruler outside the BU, inside, the computer can be stronger and faster than you ever were or will be.

After the judgment process or the image allocation process, the Android is given an introductory quest to familiarize them with the universe. It is mandatory. This will give the Android full access to the world and its’ potential, giving them knowledge of training locations and such.

Training is an interesting topic. The android doesn’t have a body so training would seem impossible. But that isn’t true. While in the Binary Universe, life for the Android goes on. All their experiences are recorded to their file in the central database.

When they are wished back, and or built into a new body, that data is downloaded, and they achieve their training back in their physical body.

Starting locations for BU hubs will be determined by what places are still around after the reset.

Quote:Quest 1:
Quest Name: Judgment Trials

Required: Mandatory

Description:
You have been given your bodies’ digital image. You are now one step closer to being able to use this world to its full advantage. As an introductory to this world, you are going to be entered into three simulations. First will be a logic simulation to test your ability to think on your feet. Next will be a combat simulation, testing your ability to move around in this coded universe. For your third and final test, you will spar the central computer, who will copy your exact strength. The central computer wants to know each Android personally.

OOC Notes: First two are up to the user’s imagination; the third would be the central computer in the form of the player, introducing it, and fighting you. Win or lose, you pass this quest.

Rewards: Staff determined.

I'm not at all a fan of Android-only Techs.

EDIT (ELABORATION): This is a neat idea, but I don't see why people who want to couldn't just roleplay about it. I don't think this is something Staff needs to set up. If you want to make up a database and binarily jump into it, go for it. Again, not a fan of specific_race-only techs. Especially Androids. They're already undetectable.

In short, Staff has been (rightfully) moving toward creative freedom for the members. This is exactly the sort of thing you could just do if you want to. Minus Techs.

EDIT2: Oh, this is about heaven/hell. Well, I'm not sure why this needs to be an alternate option at all. Androids already go to heaven/hell.

Normal players can get to this place too. Via a machine that converts you to Binary Code. First post says that I think. =D Thanks Krillin.

I am honestly confused. I thought I just nulled that. Explain to me what is keeping that opinion.

Android Only techs yes, but their will be general abilities too. I made a reference as the world could be used as a research system to discover other abilities. Could build off that.

Android only area is solved. My previous post.

Thanks =D

I'll break it down.

You're positing Android-only Techs. I am against Android-only Techs.

CONFLICT!

Okay. I understand that. But even though it's 2 AM, I am very sure I didn't post any techniques yet. I'm still planning this. Or do you mean the idea of them?

The idea.

It is very important to maintain equality, as best as possible, and race-only Techs are a dangerous route.

Alright. That's an easy fix. Just remove them. No biggie. Not that hard to work around. If theres a will theres a way. This idea is in Alpha form anyway. Gracias.

Alright, no Android-only Techs. With that, it's just a matter of storyline, and I don't really see any reason why you can't just do that on your own, if you're interested in a Binary World. That's the beauty of the creative freedom Chubbs has moved towards with user-created Quests. If you feel like doing this, you can do it (as long as you don't kill yourself, or render yourself invincible, or something equally and obviously wrong).

In other words, it's a cool idea, but it's not the sort of thing Staff needs to implement in any official capacity. At least, not until it touches heaven/hell. In the case of the scope of the afterlife, I don't see any reason why this sort of thing is at all necessary, or why it needs to be separate from either heaven or hell. As it stands, Androids already get funneled off to either of those two spots. With that in mind, why couldn't they just jack into this system from heaven/hell?

And with that, this crosses entirely over into the realm of personal storyline, in which you have freedom to do what you please. As for 'general abilities', I don't know how much luck you'd have generating a Tech that is so heavily tied to this Binary System, and that would require it for its acquisition. Why not just suggest whatever Techs you have in mind (if you do have any) for wide-scale implementation, and do this binary system on your own dime?

I'm doing Toma's son. Not an Android. This was just to improve on Androids a bit. But can I get an official ruling on this? Funny how it seems, this happens to all my ideas. >.>

Get some staff opinions in there and I'll give you one.

EDIT: I'd like to add that there's nothing wrong with taking an idea, filing it away, and seeing if it has a future use later down the road. Not every idea has to be implemented or turned down right away.

I don't see a reason to rush an actual ruling on this. The suggestions are here to be an archive of ideas to pull from; not so much a series of categorized arguments as to why an idea should be implemented or rejected. I appreciate the suggestion, and I believe that if we do something like this, you'll definitely recognize the similarity in whatever we do and your idea.

Alright, good to know. Anything I can do to help. =D Thanks for the reply.
And to the rushing of the ruling, sorry about that. I'll file this away. It was 2 am, I don't function very well.

Again, if you'd like to see your idea implemented on your own time/dime, you've got all the power in the world to do that (minus the Techs). And if the point of this post is Techs, you might want to post some. Really, that's the only part that would need Staff input/verification.
