Profession stuff
#1
Can we change our professions? If so, is there a time limit on it, or a penalty for doing so?

Oh, and are there going to be regular DBZ quests? You know, like ... heroic stuff. I didn't pick elasticity so I could reach high shelves =P

Quests can be as heroic as you want. =o

Anyway. Yes, you can change your profession. I don't know if there's a set limit to how often, but it wouldn't make sense for us to be like "NO YOU CAN'T CHANGE JOBS!"

However, I don't know if changing jobs would reset your job rank. I would imagine it would not, but, I'm not totally certain.

The whole 'rank' thing kinda confuses me as well. It says that when you're a higher rank, quests are harder to complete but you earn more money. Isn't that kind of the same as just getting more money for doing better, which is represented by grading already? Or are there like ... plans to 'fail' people when they're higher ranked? Speaking of which, how do you go up in rank?

No.

The most you can earn for a Rank 1 quest is lower than the most your can earn for a Rank 2 quest. And so on.

Yeah. Though its perfectly possible to fail a Rank 1 quest.

You do Quests.

Yes. No time limit, but changing your profession resets your Rank back to 1. Might look at changing that some day, but for now that's how we roll.

And, in case it wasn't obvious, that's about as specific as it's going to get.

Much thanks. Oh, and I'm guessing I wouldn't be able to take 'freeter' as a profession? =P

It's perfectly fine to keep your profession as "Unemployed" or something similar. However, as the rules say, doing a quest that has nothing to do with your job will short your zeni reward.

Since any job is unrelated to employment, all your quest rewards will suffer.

What if you roleplay chilling around the house, watching TV, eating food and waiting on your monthly unemployment check?

If you can complete a quest doing nothing but unemployment-related stuff, then that's fine.

I know I wouldn't be able to make it last, though.
