In all honesty, it's something I just assumed - I know nothing about modern weaponry. Since you are a gun guru, and you're aware they're supposed to be scrappy anyway, I'll take your word for it =o

And yeah ... I really wish they'd given more NPCs helmets, just so I could happily have some excuse for them being able to survive more than one headshot.

I wouldn't call myself a guru. To be honest my knowledge is very limited. I'm just... fascinated by them, even though they - to some degree - are revolting to me. Morbid curiosity, I guess.

I really am quite enjoying this game. Usually when I play games that have been hyped up by others, they end up being a disappointment. So this was a nice surprise.

Those! can be tricky if you're low level. The best way to do it if you're not already at a He-Man level of strength is to go there with an assault rifle, and backpedal once you've engaged a fire ant. Their range is pretty bad and unless your agility really sucks you'll be able to keep ahead of them, spraying bullets at their face until they fall down. It will make it much easier.

This is an instance where it's actually beneficial to stay out of VATS since you can keep running backwards, so unless you're reasonably sure you'll kill him if you go into VATS, don't.

I just pummel them with my fists until they go down. I am a melee-centered character, though.

If you're good at melee and get the proper perks you can do a lot more damage than small guns. <.<

So I beat Fallout 3 last night. It kinda hit a nerve. I feel really depressed now.

The lyon's pride chick pressing her hand against the glass with that look on her face...Yeah, just hits something.

I mean, joke about it all you want. I know its a video game. But idk. Just felt extremely sad.

I felt extremely pissed off. The potential for such an awesome ending and they... fucked it up. This isn't a big deal if you never pick up any followers since you'd never notice, but if you did, then you're like "wtf" at the ending since it didn't have to happen.
