Maybe if he actually did something original then the show would be worth watching. But what is Family Guy's repertoire? Juvenile perversion, politicians r dum, and other bits that can only fit into the "random nonsense" category which appeal to the inner preteen. If Family Guy suddenly stopped airing then only people that aren't even old enough to pay for cable and alcoholic fratdouches (which McFarlane seems to want to be for the rest of his life) would care.

If you don't like something because you think it sucks, that's one thing. I just think it's silly when people dislike a TV show/music/whatever because they disapprove of the actors, writers, or singers. I.e. "I hate this girl's music because she's a dumb whore".

People's personalities make the show. I enjoyed Seinfeld because Jerry is, in real life, a lot like the character he plays in the show. If he were really some hermetic addhat and played the same character it would not mean the same thing.

So if you knew nothing about the creator of Family Guy, you might have a higher opinion of it? To me that's crazy, but I think I'm something of a minority. For the most part, I don't find the lives of celebrities that interesting, so I tend to approach any given body of work 'as is'.

Like others have said already, Family Guy has been on a long downslide. I kept watching it out of nostalgia for earlier seasons, but when McFarlane did that shit at Harvard I became fully aware that he had replaced comedy with juvenile pandering and I will not give my time or money to that.

When I want to watch a cartoon about the lives of a fat man and his wife, son, daughter, and baby, I'll stick to the Simpsons.
And FUCK YEAH POWERPUFF GIRLS.

I really enjoyed his Harvard speeches.

I need cable.
Or at least the tolerance to deal with my cousin, who has cable in his room.

Why not just splice in a junction? Yeah it's technically not 'legit' but it's unlikely anyone'll ever find out. Plus, it's ridiculously easy and the parts you need (a junction) cost like, what? $9? You might need to borrow a couple basic tools, wire cutter/stripper and some electrical tape, plus you'll need a couple connectors which are probably altogether under two bucks.

South Park, on the other hand, is hilarious.

You know that feeling when you wake up in a basement with a massive gaping hole in your chest?

So, like, were you shot? 'Cause if not, I'm severely disappointed.
If you were shot, pics or it didn't happen.

Oh man, that final episode was just glory all throughout. Mojo singing was damn near hysterical. The Mario Kart reference, cameos from EVERYONE and the huge twist ending followed by the second twist were both great. Absolutely awesome way to end that show.
