You guys really need to create some kind of boundry between what is a favourite technique: Kamehameha, Masenko, Dodonpa. And just regular ki blasts and orbs. Because any fool can put their hands together and shoot a regular beam of ki and yell 'Kamehameha' but you have to decide what seperates that Kamehameha from the guy just pretending to make one.
Personally, I think Favourite techniques should be more powerful, or should raise your power level when performing them like they did in the Saiyajin saga. It'd also allow characters to have more than 4~6 special skills which could get tedious and boring when writing, and would allow them to explore other skills before they add it to their favourites list.

I think there is a difference now and if there isnt its because of your writing not the RPG

Well I wrote quite a bit of the rules for the RPG, and we didn't explore the idea of doing it that way. Plus I double checked the site beforehand to see if it had been added but I saw nothing about it.
So I thought it should be brought up, if it's already in practice, they should explain that on the joining page. If it's not then let's add it for fun. Although I guess it would be kind of interesting to fake out an opponent by prentending to do a Kamehameha.

Wow, you said a mouthful. But how can they be more powerful. Its harder to calculate all that stuff and it just makes things complicated.
During the fight between Goku, Pikkoro and Raditsu. Their power levels rose as they started doing technique's which was do to focusing their ki into one place. Goku's Ki went from like 600 to 924, and Pikkoro's went to like 1,300 when doing the Makankosappo. It's why he was able to kill Raditsu even though Raditsu was almost twice as powerful.

I see what your saying... I think. But what your talking about is coming up with a multiplier for every move? Like I said you can 'fake' a kamehameha now you just need RP it being weaker.

I don't think we should make a multiplier specifically for every move, but rather if it's in your Favourite Technique's list that when you use it, it has it's own level of power. Like say Goku used a Kamehameha and had a power level of 1,000,000. If you read his power level it would jump to 1,300,000 while preforming the Kamehameha because it's a favourite technique. But say if you did a Kamehameha but didn't have it in your favourite's list it wouldn't raise your power level while using it.
If I did suggest a multiplier it would be x2 for all moves period, or, say you had the intelligence for 4 techniques, you could decide to only have 3 techniques and one of them could have a 3x multiplier. But of course to keep people from abusing that, you could put a 5x limiter on all techniques.

But how do you know how high your ki level is using a favorite move without a multiplier?
If it didn't have a multiplier it would be as strong as your base ki.
Edit: The nice thing about my idea is that it would account for techniques like Shin Kikoho which was able to hold back 2nd Stage Cell.

Trunks, the best moves ARE more powerful than someone "faking it." You can perform any technique from DB/Z/GT, it's just that the three "best moves" are performed with greater power and efficiency.
The reason it may not be on the main page is that we are still working to perform a "make over" on the pages.

Favorite techniques are, and always have been, more powerful than a normal equivilant. I, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the staff, thought that was pretty well implied with the whole system.
Anyway, when performing a favorite technique, consider your character to have power beyond their normal limits. This is due to the manipulation and amplification of their ki, through the technique they are using. No, we're not going to come up with multipliers for every single technique, and no, they are not the same as normal attacks. Its really just a matter of writing it properly, or, if its a case of member vs member, not god-moding. Favorite techniques are performed, for the most part, at levels higher than those normally achieved by your character.
kthxbi
