Technically the two handed smash isn't a best move. You could make it a best move if you wanted to, but you could also replace that with another move (eg. Masenko) and still be able to do the two handed smash move, as it is a simple physical attack.

Well, yes. But PD's being a best move, would likely have a much more powerful ki charge than yours, which is just some generic attack...
