Your CA goes up as you earn XP, not as you spend it.

No, that's how its been. Reb was totalling up your active CA using your XP gained in addition to all your techs being added in to find out what your actual CA was. As far as Rosters go, they've only been updated when you purchase an ability.

Effectively, the amounts showing what you spent are just notations so we know what your total XP would have added up towards if you spent nothing. We take that total XP and use it with a formula (easy to figure out) to get the actual CA.

Its also why I actually have a decent CA despite having bought nothing, and mine's the easiest to total up (take my xp, multiply it by 10, add the base 500 to it, you get my current total.)

I've spent 40 XP.

I currently have 19.06 XP.

So that's 59.06.

59.06 x 10 = 590.9. Plus the base 500 is 1090.9, correct?

It's pretty simple.

My CA seems off now.

My xp is 61.0, meaning 610 CA from it, plus the base 500. That's 1100. Not 1109.

EDIT: Perhaps its trying to take into account where I edited in that link into the normal sentence? Perhaps Waff should take a look at that and see if a sentence with a link embedded gives more xp than a sentence without one.
