So Kaden and I just hit 55 last night, and are planning on making our DKs. We're probably gonna stick to Alliance. Any suggestions as to race? Explanations as to why would be most beneficial.

Alliance PvP

Human - with perception and a free trinket break of any loss of control of your character this will definately be the way to go, with gnomes trailing behind.

Alliance PvE - Tanking

Night Elf/Dwarf - -2% chance to be hit by melee/ranged helps NE’s excel in tanking and dwarfs are close behind getting 10% to armor, however that 10% is only multiplicative on toughness, considering they both are specced fully in.

Alliance PvE - DPS

Human/Draenei - +3 expertise in Maces, Swords will allow humans to dish out more damage, Draenei will get +1% to hit and that buff goes to others as well, close tie here.

I'm going alliance for my DK, so I can like, complete my money making powerhouse of awesomeness with the DK and pally farmin'. =D

But I think I'm going to start my own guild, only for the bank, though, for the DK. I keep running out of bankspace =(

Doesn't matter, Belle's entirely correct. The orc activated racial is THE BEST pve dps racial in the game for every class it can be on. The Troll racial is entirely useless. Entirely. You WILL NOT get to use it. You will almost always be healed too quickly (even from the self regen) before Rampage matters or you will be using it with a mediocre boost (netting you a much lower gain than Blood Fury from orcs). Even if it works and you aren't bothered, it WILL NOT do more dps than Blood Fury adds, even if you somehow stayed at 1% health with it activated and somehow didn't die.

For pvp, I'd say UD, but Tauren and Orc are really good choices too.

For Alliance side, you were pretty dead on with all your choices. Escape Artist, while good, is pretty much shit now with Humans having that same racial folded into their much better racial. NE is really good for pve due to the Elusiveness AND the Nature Resist (which is no longer Resist, per se, as in they don't have to randomly gear Penetration to break through it, its now hit miss chance so they can gear more hit). I'm saying this as a druid who his hit capped for pvp, and yet has a huge pain in the ass time trying to land nature spells like cyclone on an NE, or even to hit the NE guy with a physical CC like Maim even. Its a miss both ways.

Well, I made a Draenei DK. I really hope it goes well. My biggest draw toward humans was the +Rep gain, since I don't really wanna grind for rep, but oh well. The +ToHit will be nice, as well as my heal.
