The way it makes it seem, I almost feel bad. Think they're ever gunna actually catch the person(s) who leaked it? I personally doubt it.

I do. They've got very advanced methods for tracing that now; not to mention, the copies that exist are set with different markers (each) that help big time with the investigation.
As for whether or not I should feel bad? No. Don't care. I love movies. I stream them, and still see them in theatre afterwards... everytime. If your movie is bad though (though in this case you can't truly tell, the copy is hacked and watered down compared to what will be the original), I'm not going to feel bad about the fact I won't see it in theatres. Should have made a good movie =\ A good example is Dragonball, which I won't watch in theatres due to how bad it was when I watched it streamed, but will probably rent for the full audio/special effect experience.

Whoever leaked the workprint is going to spend some time in jail I'm sure.
Unless the theft occurred outside the US, then good luck. But still it's kind of cool to be able to watch a workprint like this and see the process but I'll wait the completed film is available first. Movie piracy is a big deal, but it's not nearly as big an issue as they'd like you to think. If they'd quit making shitty movies I bet more people would be willing to pony up the increasing cost of tickets.

That's why I go to the cheap theaters down in CA. Even if it is a good movie, I sometimes can't justify spending $10 to go see it. $20 if it's a date. Like last night, my gf and I went and saw Bolt at the $2 theater down here. It was enjoyable, but definitely not worth $10 each. Very few movies are.

IS THAT WHY YOU BOUGHT ALL THOSE FUCKING LASER DISCS?!?!?!?!? There was a $1.50 theater near my school I would go to on occasion. They even had dollar Wednesdays, where they lowered the $1.50 price to $1. Ridiculous.

Actually, my brother is the one who bought most of the laserdiscs. I've spent maybe $20 on the few that I own. His entire collection cost I think around $400 at this point. Including 4 different releases of the Star Wars Trilogy.

Next time he wants to spend $400 just have him send it to me.
