So there I was, down in the kitchen looking for some grub, when my younger sisters walks over, all dressed up about to go to this student party at her college, she hands me this shoe polish thing, and says...

"Hey Matthew could you squeeze this shoe polish I can't get it to work"

"Why should I"

"Cause you're stronger than me"

"True..."

Next thing I know, there's black shoe polish splattered literally ALL OVER the kitchen, all over the fridge, all over the floor, all over me, all over my sister, EVERYWHERE. I was just like, fuck. Anyway after about an hour of me, two of my sisters and my mum cleaning non-stop, we managed to clean up the floor and counters, the fridges were unfortunately stained black, and part of the walls were beyond help too, I guess they'll have to be re-painted. So yeah, that sucked. Somehow my sister managed to get stuck with all the blame, which was fine with me. I was also suprised by everyones reaction, If you had told me that it was going to happen beforehand, I would have said, my sister would have burst into tears, and my mum and dad would have went balistic, but no everyone was kinda like, shit happens.

I hate now more than ever the fact that I fucking live 750 miles away from my dying grandfather. And my stupid excuse for a family keeps throwing the damn "School" excuse at me to keep me from packing and leaving for Connecticut.

Fuck a world where your last dying grandfather has less priority than school.

I'm itching to rip my hair out over the frustration.

It's less in my favor because I don't have class everyday. I go Wed, Thurs, and Saturday. One class a day. The way ITT Tech sets it up is that if I miss a class they are like, "You'll be fucked!".

I agree with you. The system just doesn't agree and all I can do is vent constructively.

A friend of mine had his car break down out of state one quarter. Then his uncle died during this time and he missed the entire said quarter. The school put him on Academic probation and even though he's advanced in the field (Computer Network Systems) they prohibited him to test out of pointless classes. They also said if he failed one class he was gone.

He's currently in two of my classes.

Some schools are just full of bullshit rules.

Completely different situations, mang. He missed a quarter. You're telling a teacher you'll be gone for a class or two.

If you actually talk to them about it, you'll probably be surprised at how willing teachers are to help.

Well yeah. I talked to my Saturday teacher. My family is what's mostly bugging me I guess. =/
