Seen it on Saturday. Woulda been better had I not ever seen Dragonball before. My sub-conscious just picked apart at things as it played, lol.

Fights weren't horrible. Pissed me off with the whole modernized thing. The bully brawl was...mehh. And I have no clue why ki was telekinesis at sudden moments.

Chi Chi coulda got it though. Mmm. Dass all I'm sayin. lol

Ander and Piper, I haven't seen it yet, but that's basically what I've said I have the feeling it will be like since day one. Effectively another "Resident Evil" feeling, something that really isn't a great movie at all, and especially not a great adaptation from its original, yet still entertaining on some weird level. Similar can be said for Super Mario Bros, and like that movie, there's a small crowd that says "it was horrible, that said, I enjoyed it for some reason" and a large crowd that screams "LOLOLOL"

ditto. Thinking back it could've done alot better but I was a kid and easily entertained. Plus, unlike alot of adaptations, they spotted a few good actors.


Also liked the American version of Godzilla. I don't care what anyone says, with the exception of the radiation breath, it looked and fought cooler than the original. Not to mention the plot, as bad as it turned out, was far better than most of the japanese versions. The cartoon outclassed all versions thus far.


As for dbz. I'm not watching this movie. Its ridiculous and you can tell from the previews. I've never really liked funny-stupid movies either. If I do watch it, it'll be for free.


Personally, I would have had it this way.

Starts out where Bulma, in possession of one dragonball and searching for the others with a radar she invented, finds this boy living out in the woods who has one in his possession. After some short failures to take it, in which she learns hes supernaturally strong, she actually takes to the time to learn more about him. He explains his granpa was killed by a monster while he was sleeping. She tells him about her search for the dragonballs and that he can use them to bring his grandpa back to life with a wish, as a ploy to gain his assistance. She figures with a strong gullible kid on her side she won't run into any more hassles and can easily trick him to get her own wish of a boyfriend when the time comes.

Their search for the next dragonball leads them to cross the red ribbon army who are also searching for the dragonballs. Their leader is the deadly General Tao and his skilled three-eyed Lieutenant Tien who both are incredibly strong and exhibit unusual powers. They command a shock troop of soldiers Goku soon learns to be androids. Goku, despite his strength, loses to Tien. Bulma and he are captured, then robbed of their dragonballs and dragonradar. Before they are executed, however, a group of fighters including the likes of Yamcha,Yamcha's talking cat Pular(is that its name?), Krillen, Yajirobe, and a perverted master of illusion and talking pig, Oolong, rescue them.

The pair are safely escorted back to the rebel HQ in hidden mountain caves where its learned that while the red ribbon army is busy fighting foreign enemies, this group, led by the Ox king the former ruler of these lands, has mounted a resistance from within. In the process Goku meets Chi Chi for the first time. The rebels ask why the rr army targeted two adolescents and despite Bulma's reluctance Goku tells them all about the dragonballs. Realizing all may be lost if the RR Army gets the dragonballs the rebels quickly depart, except for Krillen. He believes that currently they're no match for the RR army, dragonballs or not but he knows of a master that can teach them techniques like the red ribbon army has. Bulma and Goku split ways as she follows Yamcha to try and get her dragonballs back. Goku journeys with Krillen to meet this Master.

Cut scene to the villians side a things where Tao and Tien report to an Emperor Pilaf. Gero, the engineer of the android army, and future villian gets a brief cameo. Its revealed that Tao was the one with foreknowledge of the dragonballs and is insistent that they are key to the RR reign over the planet. He believes the radar is the key that will assure them victory. Gero adamantly states they should focus into advancing his androids instead of this hocus pocus as well as voicing a distrust in Tao(by this time even the audience could assume Tao is likely to stab Pilaf in the back and take emperorship as soon as the time is right) and is ignored.

Goku and Krillen head to the sea where an unusual talking turtle leads them to a remote island. There they meet master Roshi who at first refuses to train them but after hearing about the dragonballs and the RR plans to obtain them he changes mind. Knowing they have little time he puts them through ridiculously hard training. Krillen and Goku become fast rivals but it is apparent that Goku is learning faster than it seems humanly possible.

Elsewhere, the rebels stage an attack on the RR Army. The battle turns bloody but in a confrontation between Tien and Yamcha, Tien's hesitation in killing Yamcha marks a conflicted conscience about his ties to the RR Army. This costs the RR greatly as that moments slip allows Yamcha, his cat, and Bulma to escape with the dragonballs and radar. The Oxking orders them to flee with it while the resistance stalls the rest of the forces there. Tao expresses his dissaproval with Tien violently but conceals his apprentice's failure from Pilaf. Pilaf informs them that Gero has already adapted his androids with the radar's schematics and they too can now find dragonballs. Oolong and the Ox king are killed in this battle while Princess Chi Chi is taken hostage as a ward against the rest of the rebels. Tao orders Tien to finish of the two he let escape and retrieve the dragonballs.

Krillen and Goku's training is going even better than Roshi hopes with both excelling far beyond his expectations, especially Goku. Roshi also teaches Goku not to live in the past and convinces him that its best to let his grandpa's spirit rest. Yamcha and Bulma come crashing in with the RR army hot on their heels. Tien arrives with a brigade of robots and has it out with the team. Roshi stays out of the fight and lets his pupils do the work. They display their new skills and show they are now far superior to the androids. In a historic clash Goku bests Tien the the triclops is captured.

Roshi reveals he already knew of the dragonballs and that he has two. He explains the history of the dragonballs, claiming that they're the greatest evil the world has ever known. They were created by an ancient demon king as a way to achieve its own immortality. He elaborates further,saying that he and General Tao shared the same master, who in fact defeated the demon king by sealing him away, a technique which cost him his life. The seal has encased the mountain on which it sits in a barrier of flames. Because the seal calls for an object close to the target's heart it also happens to be the last dragonball.

Tien tells them that he believes Tao went after this final dragonball knowing about the demon king. He also claims to be disillusioned with the RR army and wants to help them. Only Goku, perhaps due to naivety believes him, and Roshi chooses to support them to the point of volunteering to go himself.

Tao arrives at fire mountain, captured Princess Chi Chi in toe, first and sends in a team of androids in first to smother the flames. While they're clearing a path Goku and friends arrive and engage in a nighttime battle by the firelight. The first group of bots is defeated and Goku frees Chi Chi but their troubles rebound as a group of newer more powerful android reinforcements arrive. Roshi skips ahead of the group and confronts Tao in a showdown. Roshi loses the bout, apparently to old age more than Tao, and Goku jumps in. Just when it seems like Goku is winning Tien emerges from behind catching the kid off guard. Tao orders him to finish him off and Tien says, "Gladly" before firing at Tao. The General loses an arm but also falls on the last dragonball. In triumph he pulls it from its spot and frees Piccolo.

Tao falls to his feet and pledges allegiance to the demon king, proclaiming him to be the true ruler of the world. Piccolo, kills him saying he has no need for crippled slaves. The androids attack the demon that killed their leader and are easily crushed. Goku and friends try to fight him but even with the combined might of Goku, Roshi, Tien, Yamcha, and Krillen he proves too much. After putting each of them down he summons the dragonballs into the air about him and summons the dragon. Before he can grant his wish however, a seemingly broken bot jumps into the air and transforms into Oolong whom was thought to be dead. Oolong wishes for panties, ruining Piccolo's plan for immortality and scattering the dragonballs again.

Piccolo claims he'll kill them all but Master Roshi begins to use the forbidden sealing technique. Before he can complete it though, Goku sees the full moon and transforms into a giant ape. Piccolo challenges the ape but is beaten and then blown away, over the horizon. Roshi rips off Gokus tail, reverting him to his original form. Bulma realizes that Goku probably is the monster that killed his grandpa but chooses not to tell him.


Yamcha and Tien declare they're going to regroup the resistance and finish off the now much weakened RR Army.
Roshi advises Goku and Krillen to finish their training before helping out.
Bulma leaves with her new boyfriend, wish granted I suppose, Yamcha

I never noticed that about the Bobombs, I enjoy the movie as well. The Super Mario Brothers. It was decent...although I like it for one reason and one reason alone. Busty chick forcing Mario to dance with her. Awesome-sauce.
