Why they showed FFXIV (MMO or not) instead of Kingdom Hearts 3 when FFXIII still isn't out, I'll never know.

Yeah, the FFXIV trailer frustrated me more than anything.

Screw MMO's. Give me KH3.

I don't think there is even a KH3 announced except for some random assortment of DS and PSP titles.

There were rumors. Even if it's not in development, it should be instead of some MMO that's probably doomed to fail.

Rumors are people telling each other what they wanna hear.

I can almost guarantee they'll make back their development costs on any MMO they make. Dunno how that is a failure.

Final Fantasy was a very good MMO, and if Square takes what they learned from 11 and adds it to this new one it will be keen gear.

I will probably get it since it's going to be for PS3 and I need moar PS3 games.

Eh, I saw a Galka in there, meaning they are just releasing a brand new update to the same world most likely.

Somewhat disappointing in a way. I'll give them some hope, but I likely won't be playing it.

Isn't that a bit of a leap?

Well there's always the option that they are spreading Galka around to other worlds, but I haven't seen them do that quite as often with their created races.

FFXII was basically the exact same world as FFXI. I think they even called it Van'Diel. Or whatever the FFXI world is called.

O.o No, FFXII was in Ivalice, the world of FF: Tactics. Instead of Mithra (the cat people) they had those bunny chicks.

FFXIV is going to be a new world, new everything. They made the races similar so that players from FFXI would feel more comfortable, or something.

System is different too. Check it out on IGN (I read it at work, also been wathing E3 at work).

Oh yeah. I knew they reused something.

The point remains, though; they reused some names, but the games were completely different.

Yeah I intend on TRYING it, and if I like it I may dabble in the game here and there. I'm still very much involved with WoW, but it doesn't hurt to play FF again especially if they make it casual this time.
