MLB 07 Road To The Show is hella fun. It is quite 'tits', as my friend Mr. Cartman might say.

Picked up Prototype earlier today and pretty much haven't stopped playing it since. So far I very much like the free-roaming and they did a really good job of creating a sense of speed and momentum. If anyone played Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, it's kind of like a cross between that and Spider-Man 2. Good stuff, over all.

My favorite power, at this point, is the Whipfist. I can easily see it becoming too weak to be worth using later on, but for right now it clears crowds like nobodies business. Can also take out tanks relatively easily (not as easily as the Hammerfist, though).

Story's pretty cool so far, too. I like their "Web of Intrigue" set-up so far. For people who want to know as much of the story as possible it's kind of cool to hunt people down, and for people who don't care, it is incredibly skip-able.

Fighting to the bitter end is an advantage when your opponent does not wish to perish.

Got Star Ocean the last hope a few days ago. First I was a bit turned off by the really strong anime/crazy Japanese style and storyline, but I got used to it after a while. The battles are really enjoyable, I've only played for about 4-5 hours but yeah, pretty decent.

Damn. MLB 07 Road to the Show sucks if you're a pitcher. It's ridiculous; I can throw a 'waste' pitch on an 0-2 count that's a good eight inches off the plate, and batters will get home runs off that. Consistently.

It seems like the game comes up with something that says 'It's about time someone gets a home run', and whatever pitch you happen to throw gets dialed up on that. I can understand a somewhat wild curve high in the strike zone allowing a home run. I can even understand a great hitter nailing a low, inside fastball without needing to pull it. But I don't understand home runs on a ball that my catcher has to slide over to glove.

I also picked up Prototype. So awesome. I'm not quite used to switching between powers mid-fight, but I'm sure I'll get there. One of the sweetest things to do in the game is absorbing people. It lets you take over their appearance so you can break into military bases and crap.

The next best thing would definitely be the 'Patsy' move.

It's really nuts the length they go to kill. I once used a Patsy to clear out an entire group of soldiers because of an anxious guy with a rocket launcher...

Yeah. Last time I used Patsy on someone it was in a base and three soldiers with grenade launchers just opened fire. Cleared out about half the base for me.

Only thing which is really sad in Prototype is there's no kids.

Man, being a kid and killing military would be so awesome...

Or just eating kids to regain health...wait...that's probably why there are no kids.

There must be a law against that sort of thing. There weren't any kids in Oblivion either.

Nah, no laws.

In Fallout 2 you could horribly murder children. I turned one into giblets with a minigun because he pickpocketed me.

It's just difficult political terrain, and it's not universally accepted. I believe child killing was only available in the NA release for that game. That said, you did gain a really bad rep in-game for killing children. Leaving kids out is mostly developers too afraid of public backlash to include them.

At the end of the day, I don't get it. Taking the head off a full grown man is cool but if he's a few years younger it's taboo? That's nonsense. Besides, if the filthy urchins would stay out of my way I wouldn't have to paint the walls with their blood.

I was actually thinking about that earlier. I wanted to be a kid who can pick up cars and hurl them into helicopters. That would just be awesome.

Prototype was an awesome game, I found though that the difficulty ramped up to a ridiculous level later on in the game. There were parts where you'd be surrounded by soldiers, tanks, helicopters and super soldiers.

With the stun locking it became very agitating, the targeting system is the pits too because it's difficult to keep target in a heated battle.
