Today is the earliest I've woken up all week, nine thirty seven am. Been waking up with awful headaches and going to sleep with them though right now I'm fine and woke up without one so yay.

Hate that I never catch Sparrow on Guild Wars.

Like realizing I have like a hundred episodes of Bleach to watch subbed to catch up to the series...yea. Monday-friday this week.

Like Sasuke is finally going to pwn Orochimaru in the Naruto Shippuden sub and like what happened in the manga last week made me giggle like a schoolgirl...yea I giggled bitches something wrong with a grown man giggling?

I hate that the game store I work at hired another guy, even though hours are hard to get right now. My boss told me not to worry, my shifts won't change, and then the next saturday I find that I'm working morning instead of night (still 7 hours), and then the saturday after that I end up losing an hour because of the new guy.

And I just found out I'm losing yet another hour a week, so I'm only working 15 hours a week.

I love working at a video game store, but I'm starting to wonder if it's worth hanging onto when I know Burger King will give me full time.

I liked the movie Up. Probably the best animated film I've seen in a very long time, and probably one of the better movies I've seen this year, when I think about it.

Hate: Doing my job an hour away because it's door to door sales so working from 12pm-9pm means I get home between 9:30 and 10. Bleh.

So, about a year after seeing it in the movies, I watched Dark Knight again yesterday. A few things:

1) Christian Bale is a terrible Batman. His Batman voice is so bad, during the ending exchange with the Joker, it really took me out of the movie. Joker was dropping some science in this dude's ear, and he's doing this out-of-breath-but-still-masking-his-voice thing that sounded like (and I believe I said this the first time) he had tongue cancer. He's not brooding or scary as Batman, and that's the whole fucking point of Batman.

1.2) Beyond that, his Bruce Wayne is ridiculous. I understand the playboy act, but when he's only around Alfred or Lucius he's too cocky. Maybe this suits early Batman better, but I still don't like it. Maybe I've interpreted Batman differently through reading the comic books, and watching the cartoons, and the movies before this one, or maybe I haven't and HE is the one doing it WRONG. Batman is disturbed, haunted, not some jackass who's always being sarcastic/whatever the word is.

2) Heath Ledger was awesome, but a year later after the hype has died down, and he's won his Oscar, I have to say that some of the appeal is gone. Maybe I got caught up in the hype, or maybe this was one of those movies where it's only STUPID AWESOME the first time around, in a theatre, and once you know the plot twists and the scenes and everything, it's just not the same.

It was done really well, though. I like the Philip Glass-esque scores, the acting was pretty good (Jim Gordon was a better character than Batman, that's a fucking shame). The script was AWESOME, I'll have to look up who wrote it. Beautifully done movie, but Batman was too much of a plastic "place-holder", just filling the spot of the hero and doing "good enough" where you can follow the movie. I don't like that. The first movie blew hardcore (that's right), and now I believe it's because there was no Aaron Eckhart or Heath Ledger. That's sad. Batman should be able to intrigue and entertain all on his own.
