Have to say I was relatively pleased with the ending to Prototype. It wasn't the most satisfying ending I've ever seen, but the game actually ended. I'm sooooo tired of games having to have "open" endings so they can make sequels and such (that was probably my only real complaint with inFamous).
I did have one question about the ending, though, so if you haven't finished it, don't highlight the text below. So... the contact/army dude was the son they took from Greene, right? I wasn't quite clear on that. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

Spoilers ahead, be ware of high lightning, savvy?
I'm sad to say that might make the open ending you didn't ask for. They took away the baby in a WOI-sequence I believe. I was also confused, but I really doubt it's her son. The fact that after that he then says 'but I'm far from done' really makes me think if you complete everything some damn teaser might come for a Prototype 2 or something. Would be nice to have some closure regarding his bloody dying sister as well, I mean what the hell 'take care of her doc' and then we don't see her the rest of the game? [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

More spoilage.
Damnit... I completely forgot about the sister. So in one of the WOI, the baby is just randomly taken away? I assumed it was the contact dude because he ended up being some big, badass hunter for no otherwise apparent reason. Maybe I was just giving the game the benefit of the doubt. I hope that's not all it was, though. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

Spoils to the victor!
Dawg, the hunter we fight in the end is the Supreme Hunter, the same one of whoms ass we kick earlier as Greene just vomits it up. I'm just guessing that the Supreme Hunter consumed Cpt. Cross and ended up having some resemblance with Alex by being able to disguise. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

That's lame.
Maybe I just need to complete the WOI. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... I would be fine."

Also I totally forgot, Teemer a friend of mine (who follows Mass Effect 2 closely) says it's the scanning harddrive-thing. Unfortunately that means that people who want to go Console -> PC are ending up spending extra money.
... or somehow getting a save file totally random from nowhere with all their choices in some mysterious way. Toot toot toot... [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I am so horribly abusing my status as a spectre.
Even I'm pissed off at me. ![]()
Sounds like you're going to have a tough world to enter in Mass Effect 2. Gone full Renegade or what?

I don't see how being a Renegade could make things any more difficult. If anything, the universe at the end of the a "Renegade" game was infinitely more human-friendly and could make things much easier at the beginning of the next game.

I'm horrible at playing the bad guy, especially in Mass Effect where everyone seems more real.

Has anyone else seen the new trailer for King of Fighters Online? Looks kinda cool. Very Streets of Rage, which I don't consider a bad thing.

Lymie from Star Ocean the last hope must be like, the most annoying video game character in the history of video games. She talks like she's high, and finishes EVERY sentence with, "'Kay". Every cut-scene where she has dialogue irritates the life outta me.
Other than that the game's pretty good.

People really need to stop trying to translate it into english. It doesn't work and it sounds stupid. ![]() "It's on my brain, driving me insane. It's on my mind, all of the time, and if it left... Ghostbusters game is, so far, a beautiful treat with a nougaty nostalgia center. Game play is rather mediocre, but sense of humor, excellent atmosphere, and what is so far a decent plotline more than make up for it.
I am pretty fresh in, so gameplay may improve with upgrades and weapons I haven't got, and storyline may sour, but as of now I am enjoying profusely. Understand I am a huge Ghostbusters fan so this may color it. ![]() When in doubt: It was sarcasm.

I was Egon for Halloween one year so I'm glad to hear some good things about the game.

Went back to playing KotOR 2 and discovered that you can train practically all the characters to be Force-users. The first time I played through the game I was kinda burnt out on KotOR so I hardly talked to the other characters, which is half of the game in the second title, and just saber'ed my way through.
You have to painstakingly build a relationship via the influence system (either pandering to them with words, or having them tag along during the main quest where they witness you performing deeds of daring-do) between the main character and the other characters to get the option to train them in the Force. Every so often they'll refuse to talk about a key subject until you've gained enough influence. Most of the interaction is interesting the first time around, and after so many years of not playing this game it's fun to work my way through the maze of dialog to subdue them to the main character's will.

Old news for most of you.
Scarface and Dragon Quest 8 are both awesome ps2 titles, if just for the music selection in Scarface and the monster catching that's imminent in DQ8. I'm a little mad about the crappy building demolitions in ToS for 18 bucks. Like, really? Two discs and that's the best they could do? And The Bouncer is okay so far. Viewtiful Joe for 4.99 is just awesome. ![]() "No man is an island." - John Donne |
