General Gaming Thread
Tales of Symphonia I think. A great game, but not (imo) a graphical achievement.

Haha, my baseball player in MLB 07, Road to the Show mode, just got ejected from a game over a disputed call.

That was the first thing we thought of, but Symphonia's only one disc and doesn't involve building demolition.

You were actually talking about Symphonia?

What does building demo have to do with that RPG?

The RPG was good for the first several hours. Graphics have a lot to do with an RPG for me as a Final Fantasy, Chrono Cross fanboy. DQ 8 is cel-shaded, and it has great cut scenes. D= It all boils down to complaints about the lack of eye-candy.

How can anyone enjoy Chrono Cross?

That's like getting off on rubbing your eyes with sandpaper.

Well, it's more like rubbing your brain with sandpaper and for playing CC you sort of deserve it.

Yeah, ToS is two-disc on GameCube.

And I'm with you Cain; RPGs need to be graphical for me to enjoy them. They also need intensely fun gameplay. If either one is missing, I don't enjoy it.

Graphics definitely don't matter to me. I can still go back and enjoy FFVII, FFIV, Chrono Trigger, and I could rattle off half a dozen more RPGs that just don't look good by today's standards.

God that's so stupid. No wonder there's so many games that look pretty but are such pieces of shit. Give me awesome, addictive gameplay over morning-dew-on-individual-blades-of-grass graphics any day.

I just got Prototype, inFamous, Red Faction: Guerrilla Warfare, and the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I started getting into Prototype first.

To me, the thread is less about criticizing/defending Avatar and more about wondering how stoned Jack was when he saw the movie/made the thread.

There are times when all I want is to play something that is just ridiculously gorgeous, there's no doubt about that. Sitting down to play an RPG just usually isn't one of those times.

At first, Vad, I thought you were suggesting a sexual meaning behind Orion's post; namely, that Orion prefers a woman who can rough-and-tumble out a tantric orgasm, over one who is merely pretty.

Then I realized you were just agreeing with him.
