I was bored, and wanted something to entertain me, and decided this would probably stir up some interesting conversation. So, out of the goodness of my heart, here are some of the ideas that we've talked about for the third level powerups. This is all just preliminary, and there's no garauntee that they'll remain as they are.
Super Saiya-jin 3 - learned somewhere in the underworld. Maybe from a Kai, maybe from Dabura, but it requires extensive training in the afterlife either way. Realizes the brute strength inherent in the saiyan race. (x48 power up)
Namekian Nirvana - I haven't figured out how this one is achieved as of yet, still working on that. However, it would require an incredible amount of determination and intelligence instead of just high ki. This is more about the mastery of the melding between one's spirit, mind, and body. It gives the namekian limited telepathic abilities and effortless regenerative qualities. Regenerating an entire body would consume little to no ki. The power up is not as great, but the telepathic abilities of the Namekian give them the ability to move before their opponent even takes a swing. (x38 power up)
Doppleganger - They can mimic the effects of any of the other transformations at x2 weaker than the original. (ex: Koola could use SSJ3 at x46)
Divine Intervention - Humans (and non-transformers alike) found themselves outmatched by the species that had developed the ability to transform and increase their powers. Though the name implies a blessing from a higher power, it is simply a human's concious mind unleashing the last potential within their race (blah blah blah... more bs can be made to make it sound more interesting). Anyway, this would be the first flat out powerup for a non-transformer. I'm thinking of something like a x40 powerup that also applies to luck and determination as well as the physical stats. I couldn't think of anything else to make it different.
Nano Machinery - While the pinicle of Android technology was reached with the RAGE upgrade, many scientists thought the system could be improved upon. The nano machines created can be thought of as a kind of "patch" as is commonly found in software. The nano machines canot be integrated into an unoperational RAGE system, however. Upgrades to the sensors allow androids to detect ki cloaked by even the most sofisticated of technology. In addition, the nano machinery gives an incredible boost the cell production, allowing androids to heal wounds exceptionally fast. Aside from minor cuts, however, the healing process is not advanced enough to really aid during battle. It simply allows an android to recover from a fight, even mending fractured bones, in an incredibly short amount of time. (x44 power up)
So, there you have them. Again, these are just some of the ideas that were kicked around a while ago. The staff hasn't really talked about it in a while, but go ahead and give some feedback.
