@Cerion: I openly admit I got that from one specific video. I watched a Summoner video and yeah, the guy was just repeat interrupted over and over a lot more often than just "occasional". It seemed that every single time he was not already finished with the cast, he'd just cancel out.

Well, I've checked my only real valid source, which is my mate who also plays in the beta. He did not really find the interrupting a problem, rather resisting was his main issue although the resisting only occured on rare mobs (like in WoW they're also nasty buggers). In PvP it was something like if they got close, he'd most likely die, but he has a few tricks to pull off to get out of range. But if he had enough time from them not being in close range, he blew them to oblivion.

I seen this shit bras, I seen it, but I don't think the European beta's coming for a while. Looks interesting though, I'm the kind of guy who doesn't get tired of flying around in games.

That's good at least.

Is there any way to beta without preordering the game?

Not sure. Their website would be the place to check, I think.
Pretty cool so far, though. It looks amazing. It really does. They also seem to have put a lot of effort into details. When it starts raining, your character holds out their hand and looks up (if you're idling, of course), and there's a very smooth sheath/unsheath weapon animations. The attacks and spells and stuff are all well animated.
The storyline for the quests is cool so far, though the quests themselves are nothing particularly unique at this point.
This is a low-level beta (levels 1-25), but I really hope I get to try out the flying.

http://www.aionsource.com has been giving out beta keys pretty frequently.
edit: You might also go into a gamestop and see if they'll give you a key for free (probably only if they know you) or if they'll give it to you for the $5 preorder and then you don't HAVE to use that $5, you can probably transfer it to preorder something else if you don't like it.

This is a low-level beta (levels 1-25), but I really hope I get to try out the flying. I believe that while they do look up and check the rain, if you idle long enough, the 'good guys' take out a leaf for shelter. When one goes /sleep they summon a cloud to sleep upon, too.
It's all really detailed but it bugs me I have not been able to find the custom emoting system, I really hate that.

Ha, I just got my wings and I've been flying around the town. Aerial Combat works surprisingly well.
edit: I wish they'd let me fly in more places though...

Yeah, there's a bunch of other stuff in there, too. I just didn't remember half of it while I was typing that.
I'm really grooving on the Manastone drop-rate (Manastones are items you insert to armor/weapons that give them small bonuses like extra HP or accuracy). I have enough to use them without being all "omgz but i might get something better in 3832 levels so i shud save diz shit."

I found a guy named "Altyr" on our server and I whispered him with "Is this Tim?". He said no, so heads up Tim, your name is taken. :[

Its not like I use that name for pretty much anything else. Its not a nickname of mine, just the name of that character (though I do associate it now with a specific type of character, much like Dariden and other names). I only picked that name because the server was "Altar of Storms" and I was frustrated at the previous names not working.

How did you end up with an extra Beta key?

Probably pre-ordered the Collector's Edition or something, most sites grant a key when you do that.

Quite the contrary, it pushed me back to WoW. I was so excited over I'd be back in a MMO so I could play a MMO game that I realized I was so bored, the waiting would kill me if I didn't have an MMO.
So.. : (

That made absolutely no sense to me.
