For my character being Human I think I would enjoy DI..it's powerful but not as powerful as ssj3..as it should be...the telepathic touch is not to bad either...It's a shame really that it won't be around for a while...

nail that is true but for people like me and mino we only get either kaio ken or spirit ken..we have our first power up's.....DI would be our only other one and that would count as a trans so we would lose the power ups we have now...
Mino I pray to god that people do know that it won't be a walk in the park to get these skills...It sould be hard as hell and earned by good roleplaying..and by that I mean good posts..not 30 post of crap o.O...

Ki isn't all that matters.
Take Burter vs Bra. I'm stronger, I have better defense, and I have higher ki.
Bra is faster, thus meaning no has the edge

But they are equal. Each power-up has their own strengths and weaknesses. SSJ 3 obviously wins out in brute strength, as it should, but no other benefits arise besides the big-ass ki multiplier. Namekian Nirvana has a significantly lower ki increase, but you get huge benefits with that uber telepathy deal. And so on and so forth.
In the end, it'll still come down to RPing, more or less, assuming the powers are similar.
EDIT: Stupid Burter... he beat me.

16 beat you in rping too, I'm pretty sure you guys only killed him cause it was 2 on 1.
But yea, 16 did beat you both in roleplaying ability

Actually, most people God-mode the hell out of their characters.
I'll use Bra as an example. She has a speed of 424. An impressive stat by anyone's standards. Now, let's take a look at her stamina. What's this? 296? That would mean that she can only use her speed for all of 5 minutes before she's wheezing for air. I know this, because Raditzu used to be the same way. He had (still has, actually) amazing speed, but his stamina was lacking. To make up for this, I had to train both my stamina and my speed at the same time. Now, it makes sense for me to RP Rad moving at his max speed for long durations of time.
The same thing applies to most people in this RPG. They have massive strength, speed, or defense, but their stamina, attack power, and recovery are so low that the numbers mean nothing. While RPing is, indeed, an important factor in fight and what-not, this is still a stat-based RPG.

Stats are stupid. I use them as a guide, nothing more. I know my characters restrictions, I know what he can and can't do. I'm happy.
Ditto.
I'm not gonna sit there and compare how long Burter can fly somewhere or something. I know Burter gets tired, and if you read my rps, he does tire quickly when he's using alot of energy.
Sure, people over-do it alittle, but there is a difference between over-using stats, and just plain out god moding.

I'm not talking about trying to incorporate your stats into everything you do. Stats are there for the fights we write, nothing more. It irks me to see some people so blatantly disregard the statistical limitaions of their characters.
Namekian Nirvana is a cool ability, but I think you're making it out to be a little more powerful than it would end up being. Lets take Kami and Raditzu, for example. If both of us had our level powerups at this exact moment, Kami would have a ki of about 65 million. Not too shabby at all. In addition, his speed would be 17,670. Now, Raditzu's ki would be almost 95 million. His speed would be 28,800. So, in this case, Kami would know what Raditzu was about to do, but you have to consider who likely it is for him to do anything much more than brace himself for the impact of the hit. NN is no more powerful than any of the other powerups. Assuming they're not abused, of course.
Reccoome, I was talking about DI increasing Determination, not Intelligence. Boosted determination would help a character get up faster, and more regularly. It would keep them from being mentaly overwhelmed by their opponent's strength. It would allow them to push their body further, and harder than anyone else. They would be able to, in essence, ignore any pain. It basically makes them immune to all of the mental effects of fighting someone stronger than yourself.

Well, in my defense, even though my speed outweighs my stamina by quite a bit, my STA stat is one of the higher ones in this RPG, currently at 310, I believe. (Which still isn't high enough, I know, I know, read on)
Bra tends to tire out very quickly whilst using large amounts of energy/nearing her limits in any given stat. In almost all of my fight posts, I've added parts where either she's stopping to catch her breath, or doing something that doesn't require movement while catching her breath (like forming a ki wave or something)
I really don't think I've ever god-moded, though.
EDIT: This sounds a lot more like an argument than it was supposed to. Please don't take it that way. This was just meant to reflect my position regarding Rad's earlier post, it wasn't meant to cause any problems.

1. I would get my 3rd power up first, I RP a lot more than Kami.
2. We still haven't figured out what to do about Raditzu's hair...
3. I had more to say but...I lost track of my thoughts...

I like my hair.
;_;
And no, I'm not going to cut it...
*shudders*
The serious part of this post is that I want everyone to keep in mind that these are still a long, long, long way from ever being put up on the site.

Oh yeah now I remember.
If you notice only Kami and I could spar each other and have a challange, us high powers need more challangens. You lower lvls have each other to RP with and fight, theres always fresh blood coming in, while us higher power lvls have to rely on each other to have someone decent to fight.
If you understand what I'm saying.

I wouldn't classify myself as a "high guy" but compared to the newcomers I am.
Its not really that hard for me, personally, but thats probably because I'm traveling with 3 people who can give me a challenge(Uub, 16, Bra)

Nah, I'm just kidding. Anyway, I thought that fit the whole Namekian outlook on things. Or at least what the Namekian outlook on things seems to be. Also why the power up is more about the non-physical aspect.

I would think so, or possible by the Grand/Supreme Kai. I have no idea how Rad wants to work that in

DI should have a pure white aura... or pure black aura depending on the quality of thier soul. Blus thier features become more chizled and defined making you look kingly and powerful. thats what I would think. I think this is an excellent topic even if its a bit premature.
When in doubt: It was sarcasm.
