The swans over here can get pretty vicious. And I just barely escaped being mauled by a badger the other day.

A groundhog lives under my shed. I saw him eying me the other morning. I think he's up to something.

I saw like a giant squirrel the other day. I through acorns at it for god knows ho wlong and instead of running from the human throwing things it sat there and gathered the acorns and then ran away. Darn i hate it when nature is like haha thanks for the nuts biznitch. And the first thing you learn about alabama is we have raptors, komodo dragons and sink pits. Worse than lions tigers and bears. OH and dont forget rednecks with whores beer and guns.

Does honesty earn respect or inspire revenge? Is it smarter to attack the strong or annihilate the weak?

I was joking, but actually I did almost step on a badger in the pitch black in the middle of a field the other day. It was hissing at me. Given that they're actually pretty aggressive, that might not have ended well >_>

Fighting to the bitter end is an advantage when your opponent does not wish to perish.

Snakes and spiders aren't that commonly found in Australian homes. It all depends on where you live too; I live a little out of town. It's far enough to be away from the noise and people but at the same time, the town's river is only about three hundred metres from the bottom of my driveway, so we have a bit of wildlife out here (wallabies, kangaroos, echindas, kookaburras, gallahs, pheasants). We get the occasional Huntsman (the spider that was in Kaz's picture) but they're harmless to humans, and we get the very occasional snake.

Although two nights ago, I was leaving my gf's house. She lives at a coastal town about half an hour from where I live, but she lives in a more bushland area than I do. There was a snake coiled around the top stair when we walked outside. Apparently it was just a carpet snake and it slithered under the top stair when it saw us.

I'm sorry? I couldn't hear you over the sound of sheer terror!

Little (well, not to us) spider kills people, your argument is invalid.

If you're stupid enough to piss off a funnel-web, that's your own fault. It's not like they wander into people's houses. They have burrows in the wild and stick around those, I think.

The internetz say they wander into people's houses.

And the internets are never wrong. =(

Mind you, you could be right. Still... those motherfuckers are disturbing. Them and the Brazilian wandering spider. Those guys aren't cool.
